An Electronic Colon Cleansing Method using a Patient Colon CT Profile (환자 대장 CT 프로파일을 이용한 전자적 장세척 방법)

  • This paper proposes an electronic colon cleansing method using a patient CT profile for a virtual colonoscopy. The proposed method extracts the colon using cubic seeded region growing, and removes tagged materials adjacent to the colon. Residuals produced by a partial volume effect at the boundary of air-tagged material are deleted, and the removed soft tissue pixels due to a partial volume effect at the boundary of tagged material-soft tissue are recovered using a patient CT profile. The proposed method was applied to 16 virtual colonoscopy patient data sets, and produced promising results by a subjective evaluation of a radiologist and by a quantitative evaluation of a computer-aided diagnosis system.

  • This paper deals with the distributions of magnetic flux of an electro-magnetic chuck which is one of the most commonly used chucking attachments in a surface grinding machine. The measured results showed good correspondence with the theoretical results which were previously presented by the same author. The normal and tangential components of the magnetic flux density were measured using the gauss meter. The measured results indicated that the magnetic flux density was periodically changing over the transverse position to the magnetic pole. The normal component of magnetic flux decreases very rapidly for the increased z position.

  • The new square electro-magnetic chuck, which can be used for the clamping devices on a grinding machine, is developed in this study to improve the convenience of grinding works. The various kinds of structures are recommended to find the most adequate magnetic characteristics through the analytical approach using finite element methods. The analyzed results are retrofitted to solve the drawbacks of previous models step by step by considering the magnetic fields, strength and distribution of drag force, and thermal deformations of chuck such as high parallelism and flatness. Finally the best recommended models is designed to satisfy the KS specifications required fur the commercial magnetic chuck. The prototype chuck with this dimensions and structures is manufactured. For this final model, the experimental verifications are investigated whether the KS specifications are satisfied.

  • Micro-LED is a light-emitting diode smaller than 100 ㎛ in size. It attracts much attention due to its superior performance, such as resolution, brightness, etc., and is considered for various applications like flexible display and VR/AR. Micro-LED display requires a mass transfer process to move micro-LED chips from a LED wafer to a target substrate. In this study, we proposed a vacuum chuck method as a mass transfer technique. The vacuum chuck was fabricated with MEMS technology and PDMS micro-mold process. The spin-coating approach using a dam structure successfully controlled the PDMS mold's thickness. The vacuum test using solder balls instead of micro-LED confirmed the vacuum chuck method as a mass transfer technique.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of a short-term temple stay experience on daily life-stress reduction and continuance. The result of this study is as follows. Average daily stress index of male and female after temple stay was remarkably low more than before. Stress index was relatively highly in the following order: just before temple stay, three months, a month, a week after temple stay. By age stress reduction, index of 60s' male was highest while one of 30s' and 40s' female was rather high.

  • 본 논문은 절연재료의 보이드(void)나 크랙(crack)과 같은 결함이 부분방전을 일으킴으로서 절연재료가 열화되어 최종적으로 파괴에 이른다. 특히 부분방전 중에서 트리잉 열화는 절연재료에 매우 치명적이다. 또한 고전압,고전계 기술분야에서 절연파괴전압이나 일정전압 인가시 수명 시간 데이터는 중요하다. 파괴 통계에 주로 많이 사용하는 와이블 확률 분포를 이용하여 트리잉 파괴에 대한 수명을 평가를 시도하였다. 시료의 형태는 침대 평판전극이고 시료는 저밀도 폴리에틸렌이다 인가 전압은 상용 교류 전압 8,10,12[kV]를 인가하였다. 척도 파라메타는 전압이 증가함에 따라 128.7$\longrightarrow$96.4$\longrightarrow$85.4로 감소하고 형상 파라메타는 전압이 증가함에 따라 2.39$\longrightarrow$2.19$\longrightarrow$2.02로 감소한다. 따라서 시료의 추정 수명은 110분, 81.57분, 49.27분으로 전압이 증가함에 따라 수명이 급격히 단축됨을 알 수 있다.

Automated Generation of Multi-Scale Map Database for Web Map Services (웹 지도서비스를 위한 다축척 지도 데이터셋 자동생성 기법 연구)

  • Although the multi-scale map database should be constructed for the web map services and location-based services, much part of generation process is based on the manual editing. In this study, the map generalization methodology for automatic construction of multi-scale database from the primary data is proposed. Moreover, the generalization methodology is applied to the real map data and the prototype of multi-scale map dataset is generated. Among the generalization operators, selection/elimination, simplification and amalgamation/aggregation is applied in organized manner. The algorithm and parameters for generalization is determined experimentally considering T$\ddot{o}$pfer's radical law, minimum drawable object of map and visual aspect. The target scale level is five(1:1,000, 1:5,000, 1:25,000, 1:100,000, 1:500,000) and for the target data, new address data and digital topographic map is used.

  • Improvements on the incumbent R&D project management structure and performance evaluation criteria in the telecommunication and broadcasting area have been called for. There have been attempts to develop alternative R&D project performance evaluation criteria. In an attempt to develop an alternative measure, this study integrates two different perspectives on R&D projects and various criteria currently being used by many foreign and domestic institutes. As a result, we have developed an alternative R&D project performance evaluation instrument. Then, we have applied the instrument to Korean cases in order to validate it. The new R&D project performance evaluation criteria can contribute to an improvement on the management of R&D projects in the telecommunication and broadcasting area.
