전자도서관에서 기존의 자료 및 새로운 자료들이 디지털화되어 사용자에게 제공되고 있다. 하지만 디지털 자료에 대한 접근시 기존의 도서관 서비스와는 달리 많은 제약 조건 때문에, 사용자의 접근이 어려워 유용한 정보를 가진 많은 양의 디지털화된 자료들의 서비스들이 아주 제한적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이것은 디지털 자료 접근시 기존의 오프라인 도서관에서 사용하는 인증인가 방식을 그대로 사용하고 있기 때문이다. 전자도서관 인증과 인가에 대한 연구가 외국은 활발한 반면, 우리나라에서는 이에 대한 연구가 행해지고 있지 않다. 이에 본 논문은 전자도서관의 디지털 자료나 웹 서비스 접근 시 인증 인가가 필요한 이유와 인증인가 모델 개발시 고려사항들을 설명하고 이를 해결하기 위한 여러 인증 인가 모델들을 소개한다. 그리고 향후 개발될 전자도서관 인증인가 예상 모델과 개발에 필요한 향후과제를 제시한다.

The pandemic, which came unannounced, has caused people to feel the limitations of physical books and spaces, and discussions on library digital capabilities and sustainable library services are spreading. The e-book service of public libraries is at the stage of expanding to the autonomous district level and seeking to revitalize the service. In this study, a user satisfaction survey was conducted on the Gangdong district Library in Seoul to identify the current status of public library e-book services and suggest improvement measures. Based on the analysis results, improvement measures were derived in three aspects: expanding e-book content, strengthening user support services, and improving the e-book system management system.

전자책은 장서 및 예산 규모면에서 이미 공공도서관의 중요한 서비스 영역으로 자리잡았으나 도입 방식 및 서비스 측면에서 아직 개선이 필요한 많은 과제들을 안고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도서관에서 전자책이 차지하는 규모를 살펴보고 국내외 전자책 구입 방식을 파악하여 향후 개선 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 연구 결과 국외 도서관의 경우 상용전자책 구입시 도서관에서 전자책을 직접 보유하지 않는 ASP 임대 방식을 채택하는 사례가 높고, 도서관의 사명을 견지하며 다양한 방법들을 통해 개선점을 찾아나가고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 국내 도서관의 경우 전자책을 영구적으로 소유하는 방식을 따르고 있고, 카피수, 무상 유지보수 기간 등 기본적인 조건들이 기준이나 체계없이 독립적으로 적용되고 있어 개선이 요구된다고 할 수 있다.

급변하는 도서관 내외의 정보 환경 변화에 따라 미래 도서관은 지식 수집과 정보 제공이라는 본연의 역할을 더욱 강화하는 방향으로 나아갈 것인지, 아니면 디지털 기술과 인터넷을 통한 정보 공유가 도서관 무용론으로 이어질 것인지 그 어느 때보다 커다란 도전에 직면해 있다 할 것이다. 기존의 도서관 장서가 전자책(e-book), 전자저널 등 디지털 매체로 대체되고 있으며, 디지털도서관 프로젝트에 의한 자료의 접근환경이 변화하는 상황에서 미래 도서관에서 장서의 변화를 조망하고 그 대응 전략을 살펴보고자 한다.

인터넷의 발달과 정보화 기술의 발전에 따라 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있는 멀티미디어 정보, 원문자료, 웹 정보, 전자저널 등 디지털 화된 정보를 종합적으로 관리하면서 네트워크를 통해 사용자들에게 정보를 제공하는 전자도서관 서비스에 대한 요구가 급증하고 있으며, 이런 요구로 인하여 디지털 컨텐츠를 가지고 있는 도서관에서는 컨텐츠의 효율적인 관리 방안에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 인터넷 정보 서비스의 대부분이 라이센스 협정에 의한 정보 이용형태의 수준을 탈피하지 못하고 있어, 이용자에게 제공되는 정보 서비스를 단순한 링크 형태로 제공하는 것이 현재 전자도서관의 형태이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 인식하여 전자도서관을 통해 서비스되고 있는 인터넷 정보 서비스를 자관 환경에 맞게 재구성하고, 로컬 전자도서관 시스템과 연동할 수 있도록 상용 인터넷 정보 서비스 제어 및 이를 위한 제어 시스템에 대한 방안을 제시하였다.

Gannam-gu established 'school digital libraries' in 15 of their elementary schools between September 2001 to October 2002, and now offers library services to both students and residents All expenses and human resources for these libraries are provided by the Gannam-gu and schools provide only their vacant classrooms. This is a good example of combined school-public library The type of combined school-public library can be a useful suggestion for our educational situation. So the purpose of this study is to reveal the actual condition and the efficiency of the library established by Gannam-gu, a well-known case of a combined school-public library.

This study aims to analyze the current status of e-book management and services in academic libraries and identify related issues in the provision of the services. To do that, it performed case studies with A and B university libraries. E-book usage statistics was collected from each library and interviews were conducted with librarians responsible for e-book management and services. The interviews included questions regarding obstacles to e-book management and services and current issues as well as budget and acquisition, access and catalogues, usage, and marketing for e-books. The results show that in both libraries, the usage of e-books is low compared with that of printed books and the usage of e-books has declined recently. This is because of lack of new books with shortage of budget. Also, the most important issue surrounding e-book services is academic library evaluation, enacted by Academic Library Promotion Act in 2015. This study discussed how the criteria for academic library evaluation influence the way the academic libraries acquire and manage e-books.

본 연구는 3차원 가상현실 e-book도서관 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 제안한 시스템은 입체적 가상공간의 전자도서관으로 사이버 상에서 실제의 도서관을 방문한 것처럼 사용자 우호적 인터페이스로 자료를 관리/서비스할 수 있는 가상현실 전자도서관 시스템이다. 이 시스템은 문헌 정보에 대한 온톨로지 기반의 정보검색 에이전트로 개발되며, 온라인 서비스를 통한 3차원 가상현실에서 도서관을 네비게이션으로 이동하면서 문헌을 검색할 수 있다.
