The grain size control of A356 alloy by electromagnetic stirring (전자교반을 이용한 A356 합금의 결정립제어)

  • In this study, the morphology of the change of primary Al phase in A356 alloy by two kinds of electromagnetic stirrers(vertical and horizontal) were investigated to obtain the globular structure. The effects of the stirring current, the stirring time and the pouring temperature were determined. The greater stirring current and longer stirring time were to get the finer the Al phase. However, over a certain stirring current and stirring time, the primary Al was merged together and was increased. The reason is the degree of breakdown of initial dendrites has been decreased by the collision and coalescence of particles with increasing stirring current and stirring time. The optimum conditions and difference of the two kinds of electromagnetic stirrers have been investigated for rheology forming with controlled solid fraction.

  • 본 논문에서는 공정조성 부근의 Al-Si 합금의 미세구조에 미치는 전자기교반(EMS)의 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 초정 a 상의 형상에 미치는 전자기교반의 세기의 영향을 조사하기 위하여 각각 교반장치에 60, 80,및 120V의 전압을 가하여 미세조직을 관찰하였다. 60V 이하의 전압이 인가되었을 때 전자기교반의 효과가 나타나지 않은 반면에, 80V 이상의 전압으로 5초 이상 인가되었을 때 구상화된 초정 a 상을 얻을 수 있었다. 인가된 전압이 120V일 때 초정 a 상은 보다 균일한 분포를 가지며 구상화 되었다. 전자기교반의 세기와 함께 교반시간의 영향을 확인하기 위하여 교반시간을 증가시키면서 미세조직을 관찰하였다. 또한 초정 a 상의 형상에 미치는 주조변수의 영향에 대해서도 실험하였다.

Reheating Process of Metal Matrix Composite for Thixoforming (Thixoforming을 위한 금속복합재료의 재가열 공정)

  • The fabrication process of particulate metal matrix composites(PMMCs) with homogeneous distribution of reinforcement and reheating for thixoforming has been studied. Both of eletro-magnetic stirring and mechanical stirring were used to fabricate particulate metal matrix composites(PMMCs) for variation of particle size. The electrical and mechanical processing conditions for fabricating PMMCs are also suggested. For thixoforming of PMMCs, fabricated bi1lets are reheated by using the designed optimal coil with as function of length between PMMC billet and coil surface, and coil diameter and billet. The effect of reinforcement distribution according to variation of billet temperature were investigated with solid fraction theory with a function of matrix alloy and volume fraction of reinforcement.

  • 레오다이캐스팅 공정은 용탕상태의 원소재로부터 최종형상에 가장 가까운 정형제품(near-net shape)을 원하는 기계적 성질과 동시에 경제적으로 생산할 수 있는 제조방법으로 개발되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 전자교반 시스템을 이용하여 결정립이 제어된 반용융 상태의 소재를 수직형 다이캐스팅기를 사용하여 리어파트(rear parts) 자동차 부품을 성형실험 하였다. 성형된 시제품들은 성형조건에 따른 조직 및 인장강도를 관찰하였으며, 시효경화 시간에 따른 T6 최적 열처리 조건을 조사하였다.

  • 새로운 리튬 2차전지용 양극활물질인 Li[NiMnCo]O2를 간단히 합성할 수 있는 방법과 Si의 doping에 의해 그 특성을 향상하였다. 원하는 당량비의 Li, Ni, Co, Mn의 nitrate를 고순도의 에탄올에 용해하고 여기에 Si의 원료물질로서 poly(methyl phenyl siloxane)을 원하는 양(전체 전이금속 이온의 $2{\sim}10\;mol%$)만큼 첨가한 후 약 30분 정도 교반하였다. 이 용액을 약 $70{\sim}80^{\circ}C$ 정도의 온도에서 고점도의 진흙 상태가 될 정도로 가열하고 $450{\sim}500^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 약 5시간 정도 열처리 하여 유기물이 없는 상태의 전구체를 제조하였다. 이 전구체를 분말형태로 분쇄하고 $600{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ 정도의 온도에서 3시간, $900{\sim}950^{\circ}C$ 정도의 온도에서 5시간 연속적으로 열처리 하여 최종 활물질을 제조하였다. 이렇게 제조된 활물질은 175mAh/g 정도의 높은 비용량을 나타내었으며 4.5V 충전 조건에도 우수한 수명특성을 나타내었다. Si이 doping되지 않은 활물질에 비해 Si이 doping된 물질은 율특성, 수명특성에서 보다 우수한 특성을 나타내었는데 이것은 층상구조 활물질의 격자상수 증가와 impedance 증가 억제에 기인한 것으로 분석되었다.

Recycling of Separate Glass Fiber from Waste Printed Circuit Boards Using Attrition Mill and DMF (어트리션 밀과 DMF 용매를 이용한 폐 인쇄회로기판에서 분리된 재생 유리섬유의 재활용)

  • In recent years, recycling process has come to be necessary for separating metals, glass fibers and polymer from WPCBs (waste printed circuit boards) due to an increasing amount of electronic device waste. In this study, dimethylformamide (DMF) and attrition mill reactor were used to separate the component such as metals, glass fiber and epoxy resin from WPCBs. Separation of glass fiber from WPCBs was carried out under stirring rates 300~600 revolution per minute (rpm) for 1~2 h as the various agitator. The recycled glass fibers (RGF) were analyzed by thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) for degree of separation of epoxy resin in the WPCBs. The degree of separation of epoxy resin of WPCBs increased in attrition mill agitator as a mechanochemical process for recycling WPCBs. The RGF separated in the WPCBs was applied as a reinforcement in the RGF/unsaturated polyester composites to reuse as a reinforcement.

  • 본 고는 현재 전기적 응용을 위한 수지 절연물의 진공/가압 수지-주형처리 분야에서 가장 앞선 기술과 연구개발력을 보유하고 있는 스위스의 Ciba-Geigy사와 최신의 진공성형 시스템을 개발, 생산하고 있는 독일의 Hedrich사 및 진공주형/자동가압 성형장비를 생산하는 스위스의 Vogel사 등을 최근에 방문하여 Epoxy, Polyurethane, Polyester 및 Silicone 수지 등의 수지절연시스템을 가지고 구조적으로 기포가 없으며 전기적, 기계적, 열적특성이 매우 우수하고 매끄러운 표면이 요구되는 수지 mold제품을 생산하는데 적용되고 있는 진공 수지-주형처리기술의 현황과 아울러 경화시간을 크게 단축시켜 생산자동화가 가능한 최신의 자동가압겔화(Automatic pressure gelation)/주입몰드공정(Injection molding process)의 특징 및 기술개발현황에 대해 파악한 내용을 소개하고자 한다.

  • This study was to evaluate clinical feasibility of biodegradable polymeric membrane for interventional procedure in preliminary study. Bio-degradable polymetric membrane was produced into a solution by mixing hyaluronic acid powder with NaOH solution in a heating mantle. Three different concentrations of contrast media (10, 20, and 30 vol%) were added to the produced soluble powder, and vertical agitation was performed for 12 hours at a speed of 100 to 200 rpm at a room temperature. It was freeze dried for 24 hours at a temperature $80^{\circ}C$. Pressure on the freeze dried sample was exerted by a hydraulic press in order to form the freeze dried sample into a membrane. The membrane produced with varying contrast medium concentration was visually examined by a scanning electron microscope and radiographically inspected. Under the visual examination, the higher the concentration of contrast medium, the rougher the surface. Radiographic transparency was similar under all conditions of fluoroscopic radiography, simple radiography, and serial radiography. In conclusion, this preliminary study verified that bio-degradable membrane produced with hyaluronic acid was a material with clinical usability.

A Study on Etching of $EAGLE^{2000TM}$ LCD Glass by HF-HCl Mixed Solutions (HF-HCl 혼합 용액에서 $EAGLE^{2000TM}$ LCD 유리의 식각에 관한 연구)

  • Etching kinetics of $EAGLE^{2000TM}$ LCD glass was investigated using 2.5MHF-xMHCl$(x:0\sim8)$ acid mixtures. It was concluded that the reaction of HF-containing solutions with the glass was the rate-determining step for the dissolution process when considering following observations; the value of the activation energy $35\sim45$ kJ/mol and insensitivity of the dissolution rate to the etching time and the moving velocity of the glass into the solution. The etching rate linearly increased with increasing the HCl concentration in the etchant. It was also observed that the etched surface was as smooth as the original surface by addition of HCl and increase in etching temperature. This is due to the catalytic role of the $H_{3}O^{+]$ ions in the dissolution process.

Preparation and Electromagnetic Properties of Ni-Zn Ferrite by Wet Method (습식합성법을 이용한 Ni-Zn Ferrite의 제조 및 전자기적 특성연구)

  • Ni-Zn ferrite powder was synthesized from metal nitrates, Fe(N $O_3$)$_3$$.$9 $H_2$O, Ni(N $O_3$)$_2$$.$6 $H_2$O, Zn(N $O_3$)$_2$$.$6 $H_2$O by wet direct process to make high permeability material. The composition of the ferrite powder is (N $i_{0.284}$F $e_{0.053}$Z $n_{0.663}$)F $e_2$ $O_4$. Ni-Zn ferrite powder is compounded by precipitating metal nitrates with NaOH in vessel at 90$^{\circ}C$ synthetic temperature for 8 hours. Calcination temperature and sintering temperature were 700$^{\circ}C$ and 1150$^{\circ}C$-1250$^{\circ}C$ respectively for 2 hours. The same compound powder was extracted from metal oxide by wet ballmilling. We compared the properties of powder and the electromagnetic characteristics of the sintered cores obtained from the two different processes. Wet direct process produces smaller particle size with narrower distribution and higher purified ferrite which cores has high permeability and high magnetization.
