  • Recently, as consumer's claim fur car safety is increased, quality inspection method fur welding zone is strengthened. Therefore, from the methods that depend on welding zone bead shape size of seat frame in macrography or passive examination, the quality control by whole recording inspection is required. In this study, the system that is measuring automatically if worker checks welding bead fur quality inspection of seat frame is developed using LabVIEW. If the quality standard for the bead width and length of welding zone is inputted, the system measures automatically whether welding zone is bead length or bead width. Measured data is preserved by points and quality recording of welding zone is stored. The car seat きme welding zone is applied and experimented. The results gave good influence o9 the quality control of work efficiency.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare in antiseptic effect between povidone-iodine and chlorhexidine-ethanol for laparoscopic cholecystectomy on the port site. A total of 46 patients admitted to surgery at one university hospital in Seoul were included in the study. A study group was randomly assigned using a random number table. The antiseptic effect was evaluated and compared to povidone-iodine and chlorhexidine-ethanol by using a culture and identification of bacteria, measurement of the number of bacteria (CFU/ml) and incidence of surgical site infection. Our results show that povidone-iodine and chlorhexidine-ethanol have no statistically significant difference in the incidence rate of bacteria after 3 minutes of disinfection and before removal of the trocar and in the number of bacteria and the incidence of surgical site infection. Thus, in order to select an efficient and appropriate skin antiseptics, we suggest that it is necessary to consider not only the disinfectant effect but also cost and convenience. In this research, our results about effect and usage of skin antiseptics can be used as basic data and educational resource, and this is expected to improve comprehension of skin antiseptics.

  • Since XML allows users to define any tags, XML documents with various structures have been created. Accordingly, many studies on clustering and searching the XML documents based on the similarity of paths have been done in order to manage the documents efficiently. To retrieve XML documents having similar structures, the three-dimensional bitmap indexing technique uses a path as a unit when it creates an index. If a path structure is changed, the technique recognizes it as a new path. Thus, another technique to measure the similarity of paths was proposed. To compute the similarity between two paths, the technique compares every node of the paths. It causes unnecessary comparison of the nodes, which do not exist in common between the two paths. In this paper, we propose a new technique that minimizes the comparison using signatures and show the performance evaluation results of the technique. The comparison speed of proposed technique was 20 percent faster than the existing technique.

  • In this paper, we analyzed audience satisfaction procedures in performing art, specifically in musical, in terms of Expectation Disconfirmation Theory. We analyzed one's expectations and outcomes over time; we first classified audience expectations and outcomes about environmental elements as 'the first expectation'/'the first outcome' and about watching situation & content itself as 'the second expectation'/'the second outcome', then analyzed by comparing those two. Through surveying and analyzing the result, this paper serves that the ultimate fact which affects on the final audience satisfaction is 'the second outcome', which is the outcome about watching situation & content itself. This paper also shows that audience expectation toward physical quality of environment affects to 'the second expectation', then 'the second expectation' affects to 'the second outcome', so then affects to the final satisfaction. However, 'the first outcome' doesn't affect to 'the second expectation'; in other words, the physical environment does not affect much to the audience final satisfaction. We expect that our study provides clues for venue management in performing arts.

  • The mineral phases precipitated in the swamp built for the treatment of the mine drainage of the Dalsung Mine were investigated to reveal the mineralogical changes from schwertmannite to goethite and related behavior of heavy metals. Our XRD results show that most schwertmannite were transformed to goethite except the small portions of the samples in the uppermost part. No significant morphological changes were observed in the samples during mineral transformation by SEM, indicating that this transformation process occurred not from dissolution-precipitation process, but in solid state. Among heavy metals sorbed or coprecipitated in the mineral phases, Pb and Cu concentrations were relatively higher compared with their concentrations in the mine drainage. The relative concentrations of other heavy metals show similar values. The heavy metal concentration in the minerals do not show noticeable differences from uppermost schwertmannite to lower goethite samples, indicating the transformation process without any leaching or additional sorption of heavy metals in the solid state.

  • In this study, the concentrations of major odorous compounds including reduced sulfur compounds (DMS, $CS_2$, and DMDS) and aromatic VOC (benzene, toluene, xylene, etc.) were measured continuously using an on-line GC analytical system. Our measurements were made from a residential area of Ansan city during about two weeks period of October, 2004. The highest mean concentrations of reduced S and VOC were recorded as 56.9 ppt of DMS and 21.7 ppb of toluene, respectively. The results of this study generally show that the pollution levels for both types of chemicals are significant relative to previous measurement results reported from comparable sites, if the results are compared simply in terms of the magnitude of the measured concentration data. Moreover, when the relative importance of different compounds is compared in terms of the odor strength, it indicates that the contribution of reduced S compounds may be much more important than that of VOC in the study area.

  • The article attempts to explore community change perceived by participants result from The Integrated Program for Infant and Young Children, a program operated by the Community Chest. The participants expressed and shared their experiences through photos and discussions using the Photo-voice method under the theme of 'community life, its meaning and change'. The main themes were 1. In the past, 'community life,' non-meaningful space; 2. Now, we have shared identity, 'You are not alone'; 3. Our village which is a new place in my life. The article also may suggest issues on both community intervention for early children development program and organization for fosterers as social capital. Additionally, photo-voice method enabled participants to find the way to restructure their community from non-place to place. There were three stages, the first was to reflect on their community, the second was to re-inhabit in the community, and the last was to restore the community.

  • This study was performed to investigate solubility, dissolution rate and ash content of solid type fuel additive in gasoline and diesel in order to set up manufacturing standards. From the results, the unfiltered impurities were increased when the fuel additive was added on gasoline and diesel. Also, the unfiltered fuel additive was decreased with respect to increasing the pore size of the filter paper. When one gram of the fuel additive was dissolved in one liter of gasoline at room temperature, the best dissolution rate was about 2 hours. But, almost nothing was dissolved in diesel during 72 hours at $20^{\circ}C$ below zero. At the experiment of ash content, the gasoline which the fuel additive was melted in was showing 28 times more ash content than that was not including the fuel additive. Therefore, it seemed that almost all of ash content was caused by the fuel additive.

  • The biomass of Pinus densiflora stands burnt out by the 2005 Yangyang forest fire was estimated based on the grades of fire severity; light, moderate and heavy. In order to measure the post-fire ground biomass in kg/ha, the ground fuels including shrub layer were collected and weighted and the crown biomass was estimated using allometric regressions and leaf area index for dry weight of P. densiflora. The pre-fire biomass was assumed to be equal to that of non-damaged P. densiflora stands having the same characteristics. The results indicated that the forest fire burnt out fuels of stands; 3,693 kg/ha in the light-damaged, 8,724 kg/ha in the moderately-damaged, and 17,451 kg/ha in the heavily-damaged forest stands.
