Analysis of Earthquake Countermeasure for Electrical Facility Building on Domestic and Foreign (국내외 건축물에 시설되는 수변전설비 지진 대책에 관한 조사 분석)

  • Recently life and properties damage at Japan and China by generating earthquake. For establishing measure for earthquake in domestic, earthquake disaster measure law was enacted on March, 2008 from a natural disaster of earthquake and present the detail part and enforce the measures. This paper analyzes domestic site and problems of electrical facility earthquake measures at transformer vault which the power supply the emergence situation at generating earthquake. Also we present the domestic seismic design and construction direction from research and analysis related law and regulation for the seismic design and construction in domestic and foreign for electrical facility. Afterward we will need to study reliability inspection for electrical facility seismic design method and construction at buildings transformer vault.

  • In this paper, in order to prevent impulse surge PoE(Power Over Ethernet) communications error caused by natural phenomenon in industrial sites, countermeasure design of impulse surge of PoE communications equipment is suggested by designing dual impulse surge protection circuit. In order to analyze characteristic of impulse surge noise signal, surge generating device which meet international standard IEC 61000-4-5 is invented. And this device shows that surge signal is weakened by designing dual PoE power supply protection circuit by connecting surge generating device to the PoE data transfer line.

  • There is an increasing concern to interconnect DG(Distributed Generation) units into a distribution system and operate and maintain the system power quality within a proper level to distribution companies, regional electricity utilities and industrial customers. Recently, this situation makes many experts estimate a next generation of distribution system which is composed of some micro-grids. But the proposed micro-grid is only mentioned as a small grid with some DG units, some power quality compensators, communication and control equipments. In this paper, a topology and an operation/control algorithm of the micro-grid which is able to supply the electricity with high reliability and quality, are proposed.

In this paper, a decentralized coordination control algorithm of micro-grid which is able to supply the electric power with high reliability and quality, are proposed.

  • Achieving the two goals of providing stable remuneration and promoting market based incentive for generation capacity with only one kind of capacity price is a difficult proposition. This paper suggests a market design in which two different kinds of capacity prices are used to achieve these goals. It maintains the current capacity price that is determined administratively based on the fixed cost of the gas-turbine generator. A second capacity price is added that covers generators with higher fixed costs and lower fuel costs such as combined-cycle gas turbine, coal-powered, and nuclear generators. This second capacity price is conditional on a lower energy price ceiling and determined by the interaction of the market supply and a demand schedule derived from the optimal fuel mixed principle.

  • 국내 마이크로그리드는 실증단지, 도서지역, 캠퍼스, 산업단지등에 구축되고 있다. 특히 산업단지는 수용가의 전기에너지 이용 효율화와 신재생에너지 전원을 활용한 전력거래를 위해 마이크로그리드를 구축하는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 ESS(Energy Storage System) 복합운영을 통한 비용절감과 전력거래 수익창출 실증을 위하여 나주혁신도시 동수산업단지 내계통과 연계된 제조업체(태산, 범한, 하이옥스)에 구축되는 마이크로그리드 경제성을 분석한다. 경제성 분석 툴인 HOMER를 이용하여 각 업체별 PV(PhotoVoltaic) 및 ESS용량에 따른 순 현재비용과 1[kWh]당 발전단가를 산출한다. 경제성 분석을 위해 각 제조업체의 최근 1년간 부하량과 산업용 전기요금기준, 기업체 소재지의 기후조건에 따른 태양광발전량, 각 기업체 마이크로그리드 실제구축비용을 입력하고, 공인할인율 5.5[%]와 유류비 1500[원/ℓ]를 기준으로 경제성을 분석한다. 분석을 바탕으로 개별 제조업체 부하 특성에 부합한 마이크로그리드 분산전원 및 설비 용량 선정과 운영방안을 제안한다.

  • An electric point-machine which changes over a turnout so that it enables a train to be operated in the routine that a train is to proceed has been installed and used in most of the railways such as not only urban railways but also main-line railways. Most of the maintenance works in this electric point-machine is that the maintenance workers manually measure motor power, control power and display power in the site with the use of portable counters. Especially in case of NS or NS-AM electric point machine, the maintenance cycle is so frequent that during the operation casualty accidents caused by carelessness occurs as well as more staff is required for this measurement. In this paper we propose a system for monitoring the state of electric point machine installed in the site to improve maintenance efficiency and it is expected that this monitoring system confirms any measured values on electric point machines in real-time and improves maintenance efficiency.

  • An emergency generator is key equipment for fire-fighting to supply power to fire-fighting facilities, which protect property and people in cases of fire accidents. A rated load test for emergency generators must be carried out by connecting an emergency load to the generator in accordance with related regulations. However, a no-load test has been performed for emergency generators in general since serious problems can occur when the main power is cut off, including the damage of customer devices and shut down of critical loads. Therefore, this paper proposes a load test method for an emergency generator using energy storage system (ESS) without the interruption of main power. The emergency power system was also modeled based on PSCAD/EMTDC software, and a 200-kW scale ESS load test device was implemented. The simulation and test results show that the load test method is useful and practical for an emergency power supply system.

The Development of Portable Digital X-ray Power Supply Unit for Emergency Medical Services (응급의료에서 이용될 휴대용 디지털 X-ray 전원장치 개발)

  • The existing X-ray generators are either ones which are settled at fixed places or ones which are movable to sick rum. Movable generators can be very useful according to the circumstances of patients, but there remains a restraint that AC220[V] in the hospitals must be provided. When examining a first-aid patient who stays distant from the hospital or when grouping patients caused by disaster, the services of doctors at emergency centers should be very restrictive. Hence, this study developed a portable digital X-ray power supply unit that are utilizable at the accident spot or in a moving ambulance. By using the nit, the information of patients can be transmitted to the emergency center on the spot and thereby doctors can make a correct diagnosis. The properties of the unit are as follows: First, portable batteries(DCl2[V]) are utilized as electric source for the wit. Second PIC16F84A is utilized as control circuit in order to guarantee considerable reliance and to provide various functions. This portable digital X-ray power supply unit is expected to contribute to the emergency medical service system to be more advanced.

  • The development of decentralized power has appeared as part of an effort to decrease the energy loss and the cost for electric power facilities through installing small renewable energy generation systems including solar and wind power generation. Recently a new era for decentralized power environment in building is coming in order to handle the climatic and environmental change occurred all over the world. Especially solar and wind power generation systems can be easily set up and are also economically feasible, and thus many industrial companies enter into this business. This paper suggests the overall architecture for the decentralized renewable power system and the prediction method of power on climatic change. The ultimate goal is to help manage the overall power efficiently and thus provide the technological basis for achieving zero-energy house.
