Development of a Dedicated Algorithm for the Analysis of DC Electrical Outputs of Cantilevered Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvesters (외팔보 압전 진동 에너지 수확 장치의 직류 전기 출력 해석을 위한 전용 알고리즘 개발)

  • For most applications of the vibration energy harvesting technology as in wireless sensor networks for smart buildings and plants, the evaluation of DC output performance of vibration energy harvesters is typically required. However, there is no dedicated algorithm for the evaluation. The lack of a dedicated algorithm results from difficulties in the direct incorporation of nonlinear rectifying and regulating circuitry into finite element models of piezoelectric vibration energy harvesters. In this study, we develop a dedicated algorithm and present software based on it for the evaluation of not only AC but also DC electrical quantities. Here, an equivalent electrical circuit model is employed. The COMSOL multiphysics simulation tool is adopted for extracting equivalent electrical circuit parameters of a piezoelectric vibration energy harvester and MATLAB is used to make a graphical user interface. The AC voltage and power outputs calculated by the proposed algorithm under various conditions are compared with those by a traditional finite element analysis. The DC output voltage and power through a rectifier are obtained for varying values of smoothing capacitance and external resistance.

  • Recently, as to changes in the paradigm of domestic manufacturing CNC industry, the application of advanced technologies in machine tools are actively being pursued. IT in responsible for controlling it is the most important part in the field of CNC. The biggest lack of the necessary expertise in the field of motion control in CNC is coding G-Code in setting adjust coordinate directly and convert it through expensive foreign s/w rather than using windows language in PC based controller. In this paper, We implemented G-Code convert program that is change various type of CAD data to G-Code data and CAD/CAM application program and developed exclusive motion controller which is to run a robot directly using changed data.

  • 최근 현실의 이미지나 배경에 3차원 가상 이미지를 겹쳐서 하나의 영상으로 보여주는 증강현실 기술들이 개발되고 있으며, 특히 애플리케이션에 따른 증강현실기반의 소프트웨어 들이 많이 개발되어 지고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 증강현실 기반의 애플리케이션은 GPS를 사용하여 사용자에게 서비스를 제공하는데, GPS값이 정확하지 않아 위치에 대한 신뢰도가 떨어지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 GPS 기능과 지자기, 자이로, 가속도 센서를 통한 방향감지 인식을 포함하여 증강현실 기반의 애플리케이션을 개발하여 위치에 대한 신뢰도를 증가하고자 한다. 특히, 캠퍼스 가이드 서비스 애플리케이션을 개발하여 기존의 다른 애플리케이션의 문제점을 개선하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we propose the implementation techniques of IC card chipset that is compatible with international standard ISO-7816 and supports WindowsCE operating system to expropriate various electronic cash and credit card. This IC card interface chip set is composed with 32 bit ARM720T Core and AES(Advanced Encryption System) cryptography module for electronic commerce. Six IC card interfaces support T=0, T=1 protocol and two of them are used to interface with user card directly, the others are used for interface with SAM card. In addition, It supports a LCD controller and USB interface for host. We improved the performance about 70% than software based It card chip set and verified using Hynix 0.35um process.

  • The objective of this paper is to show how digital signal processing experiment(DSPE) was designed and to present its experimental results in orbit and on the ground. The multi-missional and flexible DSPE was designed in a reliable manner. Among several experiments executed in orbit and on the ground, a high-speed(19.2kbps) software modulator experiment was discussed in this paper. A 32bit floating-type TMS320C30, which was developed for commercial purposes, was used on LEO micro-satellites, KITSAT-1 and KITSAT-2. This digital signal processor(DSP) can be applied to the various payloads of the next generation satellites.

  • Nowadays, double-system of TFM(Track-side Functional Modules) developed instead of single-system in use of high speed line to acquisition more availability. Safety Law for Railroad recommend to quality certification of development and general railway machines. It is important to select metrics which form the bases for testing software products. A number of package software development part do not open source cords, so testing external characteristic vectors having relationship with metrics. In this paper, review the process for the TFM Point Modules, Universal Modules and Switchers, think about the test methode of circuit boards output performance by using TFM tester and Simulators.

  • In this paper, the design of a VLSI-based multilayer neural network is presented, which can be used as a dedicated hardware for character-type segmentation and character-element recogniti on consuming large processing time in conventional software-based Hangul printed-character recognition systems. Also the architecture and its design of a neural coprocessor interfacing the neural network with a host computcr and controlling thc neural network are presented. The architecture, behavior, and performance of the proposed neural coprocessor are justified using VHDL modeling and simulation. Experimental results show the successful rates of character-type segmentation and character-element recognition is competitive to those of software-based Hangul printed-character recognition systems with retaining high-speed.

  • 전력선 통신은 새로운 통신전용 선로나 별도의 추가 시설 없이, 기존의 전력 공급용 전력선로를 통신선로로 병용할 수 있다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 하지만 이러한 전력선 통신은 다양한 부하의 운전과 빈번한 부하의 기동 정지로 인하여 잡음이 발생하며 이에 본 연구에서는 전력선 채널의 협대역 잡음에 대처하는 변조방식을 제시함과 동시에 최근 들어 고용량 데이터 전송이 빈번한 홈 네트워크분야에 응용될 수 있는 고속 전력선 통신 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 전력선 통신의 변조기법은 현재 무선 LAN에서 보편화된 변조방식으로 적용되고 있는 IEEE 802.11b의 CCK(Complementary Code Keying) 변조 방식이다. 채널 모델링은 댁내 전력선망을 기준으로 $10kHz{\sim}30MHz$ 대역에서의 전력선로 및 가정용 부하 특성에 기초한 모델링을 하였고 전력 계통 과도해석 소프트웨어인 PSCAD로 채널 모델을 구성하여 홈네트워크 환경에서의 전력선 통신의 신호 특성을 분석하였다.

OWL 시스템 시험모델 개발

  • 한국천문연구원은 우주물체 전자광학 감시체계 기술개발 사업을 통해 자국위성의 추적감시를 위해 0.5m 광시야 감시관측소 국제 네트워크(OWL : Optical Wide-Field patroL)를 구축할 예정이다. OWL 시스템의 설계 검증을 위해 시험모델을 개발하였고, 연구소 내에 테스트베드에 설치하여 종합적인 테스트를 수행하고 있다. OWL 시험모델은 해외 설치모델과 동일하게 제작하였으며 돔을 제외한 모든 서브시스템을 국산화하였다. 유효구경 0.5m의 Richey-Cretian 형식의 광학계로 1.75도의 광시야를 구현하였고 영상보정을 위해 5개의 보정 렌즈를 사용하였다. 인공위성 추적을 위해 초당 10도 이상 기동이 가능한 alt-az 방식의 마운트를 개발하였다. 단일 노출에서 다수의 인공위성 궤적을 얻기 위해 chopper 제어 시스템을 도입하였고, chopper, 필터휠, de-rotator, CCD 카메라 등 4개의 부분품을 하나로 묶어 간결한 back-end를 구성하였다. 시스템의 안정성 향상과 유지보수의 용이성을 위해 망원경 및 관측소 제어 전용보드를 개발하였고, 전자동 무인관측을 위한 스케줄러 및 운영소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 시험모델을 이용하여 수 개월간 테스트을 수행하고, 관측결과 분석을 통하여 문제점을 수정보완한 후 OWL 시스템의 최종 설계안을 확정할 예정이다.

  • As DMB, 3D game, Internet and movie is serviced for the recent mobile devices, high resolution display devices beyond VGA become used. Implementation of real-time moving pictures of 30렌 by software programming is difficult because the performance of mobile processors is not so high. The full frame moving picture can be supported by using specific hardware. In this paper, an OLED controller that is consists of flash memory controller and OLED interface is proposed for real-time moving picture on mobile displays. The proposed OLED controller is implemented in FPGA and the performance is evaluated.
