The Development of Terminal for Long Distance Data Transmission Using UHF RFID Module (UHF RFID 모듈을 이용한 원거리 데이터 전송 전용단말기 개발)

  • This research paper is to develop remote data transmission terminal which is adequate to RFID R/W by using UHF/RF RFID R/W module (WJR7090) and Bluetooth communication(FB755AC) with ARM chipset(AT91SAM7S256). The developed UHF RFID R/W terminal performs tagging of RPID value and transmit the value to server with Bluetooth communication, the transmitted RFID tag value is compared to the Database value and the result is transmitted to the terminal. Performance test was done in order to prove the performance of the terminal, and the test result of the terminal's excellency and transmitted/recevied packet is described.

  • In this paper, we mainly describe the development of exclusive u-device essentially required to implement new ITS services (taxi call service, service for transportation vulnerable, transport information service, walker's navigator, electronic payment service, call information service etc.). To design this device, Samsung main CPU S3C2440A was selected and large memories (ROM and RAM) which are required for new ITS services are applied. In addition, all of GPS, RFID module, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions are included to develop an exclusive device indispensable in the ubiquitous society. For this, in this paper, we first examined detailed design of an exclusive u-device development, and based on the designed contents, the performance of a realized u-device was evaluated. If services are created by linking new ITS services with relevant public institutions or companies, based on application of the exclusive u-device developed as above, they would be expanded to a new blue ocean, expectedly resulting in a big spillover effect in local societies.

  • In this paper, we developed UHF RFID R/W system using AT91SAM7S256(ARM chip), UHF RFID R/W module (WJ7090) and wireless LAN(IEEE 802.11.a/b). And we developed a transmission/receiving packet which is send to UHF R/W module in AT91SAM7S256. In order to show the usefulness of UHF RFID R/W system, we executed a performance test. The developed UHF RFID R/W system shows better performance for reading of RFID tag and data transmission through wireless LAN.

  • The advancement of Internet and information technology allows people to access information and knowledge resources without the limit of time and place. Recent the development of various readers and wireless communication technologies has made It possible to facilitate the widespread use of electronic books. This paper is describes the definitions, features and advantages of e-books, and examines researches of technologies standards, and digital rights managements related to e-books in Korea and other countries. It also observes a future growth in the production and utilization of e-books in libraries.

Moderator Effects of e-Book Terminal Type on Factors Influencing Satisfaction of the e-Book User (전자책 사용자만족도 영향요인에 대한 단말기유형의 조절효과)

  • The terminals of e-Book(electronic Book) are classified into two types which consist of special-purpose terminal equipment and general-purpose terminal equipment. Although the terminal products inr the two types have had a strong race in the e-Book market each other, both enterprises and consumers want the two type to remain persistently with competition in good faith. Therefore, it is necessary for each type camps to find blue ocean by establishing differentiation strategies of each type. In this paper, we designed the research model that independent variables consist of hardware quality and software quality, dependent variable is user satisfaction, moderator variable is the terminal type. Through the research model, we investigated factors having a influence on the user satisfaction of the e-Book terminal that consists of hardware and software. In particular, we investigated if the degree of the influence is different between the two types. As a result, we got conclusions as followings. First, the quality of hardware and software in the terminal had significant influences on the user satisfaction. Second, the degree which the hardware quality has influenced user satisfaction was not different between the two types, but the degree which the software quality has influence on user satisfaction was different between the two types. As a implication of this result, we found that special-purpose terminal provider need to establish a strategies for raising the quality of e-Book viewer to provide different product from general-purpose terminal.

휴대인터넷 시장- 휴대인터넷시장 선점경쟁 ‘뜨겁다

  • 휴대인터넷은 이동환경에서 2.3GHZ 주파수 대역을 이용해 휴대형 무선단말기로 인터넷에 접속, 다양한 정보 및 콘텐츠 사용이 가능한 서비스다. 휴대인터넷의 단말기는 노트북, PDA 등 다양한 형태가 될 것이며, 서비스 초기 전용단말기 형태에서 통합형 멀티모드 단말기로 진화될 것으로 예상된다. 이동성은 기술방식에 따라 상이하지만, 현재 2.4GHZ대역의 무선랜보다는 다소 높고 이동통신보다는 떨어지는 준이동성을 보유하고 있다. 휴대인터넷 시장을 둘러싼 사업자들의 준비현황과 주요이슈를 살펴봤다.

지상파 DMB 데이터 전송 기술과 활용

  • 2005년 지상파 DMB 서비스가 시작 된 이후 핸드폰, 전용단말기, PMP 등 DMB 단말기 수요가 폭발적으로 증가하면서 DMB서비스는 일상에서도 쉽게 접할 수 있는 아이템이 되었다. 사람들은 언제 어디서나 TV방송과 라디오 서비스를 받을 수 있게 되었다. 또한 최근 KBS, MBC, YTN, SBS등 DMB 방송을 활용한 TPEG 서비스가 시작되면서 DMB의 활용이 한층 증가되었으며 사람들의 관심도 증가되고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 지상파 DMB를 통하여 제공가능 한 데이터와 전송기술에 대하여 살펴본다. 또 이를 활용 한 서비스와 향후 시장동향에 대해 알아본다.

Dynamic Access Control Algorithm in CDMA Slotted ALOHA Systems (CDMA 슬롯 ALGHA 시스템에서 동적 접속 제어 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문에서는 전용 코드 방식의 CDMA 슬롯 ALOHA 시스템에서 패킷 전송 확률을 동적으로 제어하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 전용 코드 방식의 CDMA 슬롯 ALOHA 시스템에서는 고유의 확산코드론 이용하여 패킷을 전송하므로 패킷 충돌로 인한 전송 실패는 없는 반면, 다원 접속 간섭에 의한 비트 오류가 패킷 전송의 실패 요인 된다. 제안한 알고리즘에서는 기지국이 망의 부하에 따라 단말기들의 패킷 전송 확률을 계산하여 방송하고, 단말기에서는 이를 기반으로 패킷 전송을 시도한다. 성능 분석의 결과, 제안한 알고리즘은 망의 부하에 따라 적응적으로 전송 확률을 제어함으로써 동시에 전송되는 패킷의 수를 일정하게 유지시킬 수 있었으며, 이로 인하여 시스템 성능이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.
