An extensive range of pumping facilities are employed in the regional water supply system in metropolitan areas, and optimization and the systematic combination of the Pump facilities have direct bearing on the stability and economy of the water supply system concerned. These systems must be able to guarantee stability, efficiency and offer high reliability. Preparation of metropolitan area regional water supply system construction project must include a basic plan which takes into account the suitability of pumping facilities to be used, the environment in which facilities will be installed, man-power requirements and basic operational and management policies. This paper contains over-all analysis of the management of metropolitan area regional water supply systems as like Jayang, Paldang 1st pump station. In the study, it aims to prepare counterplan which will be operated and managed the pump upon the operational conditions and to suggest the proposal for water facilities codes to decides total head of pump in Korea.

The characteristics of centrifugal pump performance according to fluid viscosity change were studied experimentally. A small volute pump with low specific speed was tested by changing the viscosity of an aqueous solution of sugar and glycerin, which is considered a Newtonian fluid. After finishing the test, the total head, shaft horsepower, and pump efficiency were compared with those of a water pump. The results are summarized as follows: (1) when the fluid viscosity is increased, the shut-off head shows very little change but the total head decreases gradually as the flow increases, and this makes the H-Q curve leaning rapidly, and (2) when the fluid viscosity is increased, the shaft horsepower shows very little change at the shutoff condition; however, the shaft horsepower increases more rapidly with an increase in the flow and viscosity.

We have developed a method to evaluate pumping rates from a system of pumping-well family. For a given system actual pumping rates depend on pump characteristics and the sum of the static head and the dynamic head. The static head is the elevation difference between the natural groundwater level and the outlet of the pipeline that connects all the wells. Major components of the dynamic head are groundwater drawdown in the well and pipeline head loss. The dynamic head and the pump characteristics depend on the pumping rates. Actual pumping rates are determined at the intersections of the system total-head curves and the pump characteristic curves. The Newton-Raphson's method is used to solve the nonlinear simultaneous equations. The method is applied to a hypothetical well family. Impacts of various design and operational parameters on the pumping rates are analyzed.

운영 자료의 조사$\cdot$분석을 위해 수도권 광역상수도의 취수장, 가압장 및 정수장들을 발문하여 각 펌프장에서 관리하고 있는 운전일보, 기기이력카드 등과 한국수자원공사에서 발간하는 월보 및 년보와 각 단계별 실시설계 보고서 및 준공도소를 수집하여 통계 처리한 결과를 요약하여 보면 다음과 같다. 각 단계별 수도권 광역상수도의 취수량 및 송수량은 운영을 시작한 초기부터 1990년까지 증가하다가 점점 수량이 감소하는 추세이다. 팔당 1 취수펌프장은 계획 취수량의 $95.5\%$, 2 취수펌프장은 $89.8\%$를 공급한 후 계속 감소되었고 설계 시 $100\%$의 용수량을 만족시키지 못하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 최근 IMF로 인하여 건설경기 둔화와 용수 수요량이 감소하였을뿐만 아니라 지방자치단체별로 취수펌프장을 독자적으로 건설하여 수요량 감소가 심화되었기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 각 단계별 광역상수도 중 펌프의 운전토출압력과 운전흡입압력으로 부터 전양정을 계산하여 보면 설계된정격양정보다 낮은 수치인 저양정$\cdot$대유량으로 운전되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 운전은 캐비테이션을 발생시키고 이로 인하여 임펠러에 침식이나 균열이 발생하여 10년에 한번씩은 임페러를 교체한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 펌프의 교체 주기는 $15\~20$년인 것으로 조사되었다.

슬러리 기포탑 반응기는 열 및 물질 전달의 용이성, 낮은 운전비용 및 장치의 간단성의 장점을 가지고 있어서 Fischer-Tropsch 반응, bio-reaction 등에 많이 응용되고 있다. 특히, 반응물은 기체 상태로 반응기에 투입이 되는데, 이 기포입자의 상승하는 힘을 바탕으로 기상/액상/고상이 균일하게 혼합되게 된다. 많은 연구자들이 이러한 기포탑 반응기의 성능을 개선하고자, 다양한 반응기 디자인에 대하여 보고하고 있다. 특히 반응기 내부에 tray를 설치함으로써, 기포 포집율을 증진시기고 액상의 역류를 최소화시키는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 다양한 기공크기를 갖는 tray를 활용함으로써 높이에 따른 기포 포집율의 변화 및 반응기 내에 기포 입자의 거동 특성에 대하여 살펴보았다.

본 논문에서는 universal line 입력 및 전 부하영역에서 영전압 스위칭(Zero Voltage Switching) 보장을 통한 500kHz 고 주파수 구동의 Dual Mode control LLC 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안 회로는 전 부하영역에서의 ZVS(영전압 스위칭)보장으로 고주파 구동이 가능하여 전원회로의 부피 중 상당량을 차지하는 수동소자의 부피를 대폭 저감 할 수 있다. 또한, 소용량 전원회로는 PFC(Power Factor Correction)의 규제가 없기 때문에 universal line 입력에 대응이 가능해야하므로, 제안회로는 변화하는 입력전압과 출력전류에 따라 PFM과 PWM의 두 가지 모드로 동작하여 universal line 입력 및 전 부하 영역에서 정확한 출력전압 제어가 가능하다. 최종적으로 제안 회로의 타당성 검증을 위하여 60W급 adapter의 전원회로를 위한 시작품을 제작하여 고찰된 실험 결과를 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 환경에서 CHAP 인증 기법을 이용한 로밍 서비스 지원방법을 기술한다. 이를 위해 특별히 GPRS 망으로 이동한 이동 ISP 망 가입자가 자신의 홈 ISP 망을 접속하여 인증을 받기 위한 기법을 제시한다. 또 이동 ISP 망 가입자의 단말에서 정의되어야 할 인증 메시지 구조와 GPRS 망 게이트웨이에서 구현 될 메시지 구조를 제시한다. 아울러 GGSN과 ISP 망간의 인증 메시지 구조를 정의하며 이들 제안된 내용에 대해 시험 환경 구축을 통해 실제 시뮬레이션 결과를 보였다.
