Development of Novel on-line Landweber Algorithm for Image Reconstruction in Electrical Impedance Tomography (전기 임피던스 단층촬영법에서 영상 복원을 위한 새로운 on-line Landweber 알고리즘 개발)

  • Electrical impedance tomography is an imaging modality for determining the electrical properties inside a domain. Small currents are injected and the resulting voltages are measured through the electrodes. The internal electrical properties are reconstructed based on these voltage and current data. In this paper, a novel on-line Landweber algorithm was developed to fast estimate the resistivity distribution in the inverse calculation. Additionally, to enhance the reconstruction performance, a step-length was computed from the eigenvalue of the weighting matrix. The numerical experiments have been performed to evaluate the reconstruction performance of the proposed method.

  • Electrical impedance tomography is a relatively new nondestructive imaging modality in which the internal conductivity distribution is reconstructed based on the injected currents and measured voltages through electrodes placed on the surface of a domain. In this paper, a fast iterative Gauss-Newton method is proposed to increase the spatial resolution as well as reduce the inverse computational time in the inverse problem, which could be applied to online binary mixture flow applications. To evaluate the reconstruction performance of the proposed method, numerical experiments have been carried out and the results are analyzed.

  • An active-matrix LCD using thin film transistors (TFT) has been widely recognized as having potential for high-quality color fiat-panel displays. Pixel-Design Array Simulation Tool (PDAST) was used to profoundly understand the gate signal distortion and pixel charging capability, which are the most critical limiting factors for high-quality TFT-LCDs. In addition, PDAST can estimate voltage distributions in common electrode which can affect pixel voltage and feed-through voltage. Since PDAST can simulate the gate, data and the pixel voltages of a certain pixel on TFT array at any time and at any location on an array, the effect of common electrode voltage can be effectively analyzed. The information obtained from this study could be utilized to design the larger area and finer image quality panel.

  • In this paper, optical noise is reduced by a differential detector with an optical fiber coupler in an optical wireless system. An $1\times2$ optical fiber coupler divides the received optical signal by 2 equally, and connects them to the two photodiodes in a differential detector. The output voltage variation due to the abrupt change of optical noise distribution in space disappears because the two photodiodes effectively detect the optical signal at the same point. The signal to noise ratio in a differential detector with a fiber coupler was 8 dB higher than in a single photodiode with an optical filter.

  • In this paper, we introduce a multi-coil antenna which is useful for reducing the effects of radio frequency noise in an inductively coupled RFID system. A multi-coil antenna is composed of a central coil and four subsidiary coils that are connected in series. A multi-coil antenna is designed so that the total noise disappear when the induced voltages of a central coil and subsidiary coils are added. The noise in a multi-coil antenna was about 30 dB lower than that in a single coil antenna. The multi-coil antenna is very effective in noise reduction even in an environment that the spatial distribution of RF noise is changed abruptly, and the induced noise was about 16 dB lower than that in a dual coil antenna.

Improvement in Bottom Detection for Hydroacoustic Assessment of Demersal Fish (저서어자원량의 음향추정에 있어서 해저검출 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • bottom as a reference basis, some theoretical elements which form bottom echoes during acoustic survey of demersal fish were considered. A stable bottom detection method based on maximum voltage difference, which was not influenced by variable levels and waveform transformation. The method has been shown to be effective using in-situ bottom echo waveforms and computer simulation data. A comparison between near-bottom SV profiles acquired in Funka Bay, Hokkaido, of Japan, the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, of Korea, with the threshold method and maximum differential voltage method, shows that the SV obtained with the maximum differential voltage method is 4-6 dB higher than those with threshold method within 2m from the bottom.

  • In this study, the characteristics of pH variations and contaminant distribution in soil are investigated during electrokinetic treatment for the purpose of restoring contaminated soil with heavy metal. For these objects, laboratory test for the kaolin contaminated by lead was performed. During electrokinetic treatment, lead was transported from anode to cathode. And 75% of lead removed within 80% region of the specimen. Most lead, however, that transported from anode to cathode precipitated in the vicinity of cathode compartment, thus the amount of lead removed by electroosmosis was little. Electrokinetic treatment satisfied regulation criteria of Korean Soil Environment Conservation Law within almost region of the specimen. But enhancement methods can be regarded as inevitable requisite for the cathode region.

  • In this paper, the vibration characteristics of a linear stepping motor(LSM) are analyzed using the ACSL. A magnetic equivalent circuit is based on the structure of the LSM, and then the electric equivalent circuit of the LSM is derived by solving equations for the magnetic equivalent circuit. A normal force is calculated using finite element method(FEM). And the vibration characteristics(continuous vibration) of the LSM are simulated by the ACSL(Advanced Continuous Simulation language) with the voltage equations, the thrust equation, the normal force equation and the kinetic equation.

  • 본 논문에서는 44V AC 및 DC전원에서 직렬아크에 의한 전선 접속부에서의 산화물 성장 특성에 대하여 실험, 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 전선은 동전선과 황동선으로 각각 지름 1.0mm을 사용하였으며, 교류의 경우 3가지 접속조건, 직류의 경우 4가지의 접속 조건으로 하여 전선 접촉면에서 직렬아크가 발생하였을 때 2A, 3A, 4A의 전류에서 산화물의 성장 특성과 접촉면 양단의 전압강하 변화, 산화물의 성장 길이 및 방향, 온도 분포 등에 대하여 분석하였다. 실험, 분석결과, 동전선과 동전선의 접속에서 가장 산화물의 성장이 잘 이루어짐을 볼 수 있었으며, 교류에서는 접촉면을 중심으로 좌우로, 직류에서는 접촉면을 중심으로 +극(양극) 방향으로만 산화물이 성장함을 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 AC 및 DC 전원에서의 전기안전을 위한 기술 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Analysis of Thermal Characteristics by Poor Contacts at the Connection Parts of DC Power Appliances (DC 전원설비 접속부에서의 접촉불량에 의한 발열특성 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 DC전원설비 접속부에서의 접촉불량에 의한 발열 특성에 대하여 실험, 분석하였으며 사용된 DC 전원설비는 상용 교류전원을 직류전원으로 변환하는 AC/DC 컨버터의 출력전원을 이용하는 LED 가로등 조명설비의 전원 접속부을 대상으로 하였다. 외부의 기계적 진동에 의해 동전선 접속부에 아크와 열이 발생하며 이때 발생한 발열 온도와 열 분포를 측정하였으며 적열부가 형성된 후 25분이 경과하였을 때 최고 $842.68^{\circ}C$까지 온도가 상승하였으며 접속부의 접촉전압은 1.5~1.6V, 통전전류는 6.6~6.9A로 약간의 변화만 나타남을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 DC전원에서 동전선 접속부에서의 산화물 생성과 증식 거동에 대하여 분석하였으며 AC전원에서와 유사하게 산화물이 형성되어 성장함을 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 실험과 분석 결과는 향후, DC 전원설비에서의 전기화재 예방을 위한 자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
