본 연구에서는 전문직업관이 업무수행 능력에 미치는 영향을 간호 서비스 종사자들을 대상으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 간호 서비스 종사자 대상으로 수집한 193부의 설문조사 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 전문직업관의 구성 요소 중 전문적 자아개념이 업무수행 능력에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 그 다음은 업무 전문성인 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 사회적 인식은 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 업무수행 능력 향상을 위해 전문직업관을 어떻게 관리해 나가야 할 것인지에 대한 기초자료를 제공하엿다는데 의의가 있다.

This study examined the effects of professionalism and critical thinking disposition on job competency in nursing service workers. Furthermore, we explored the interactive impact of critical thinking disposition in terms of component factors in the relationship between the influence of professionalism on job performance. Our research results were as follows. First, we found that the self-concept of the profession and originality of the job in the professional view has a significant effect on job performance. Second, we discovered that systematicity and objectivity in the critical thinking disposition significantly affect job performance. Third, we found an interaction effect between each component of professionalism and critical thinking disposition. This study is significant because it is approached from the perspective of components of professionalism and the critical thinking disposition to improve job performance. In addition, the results of this study will contribute to the management of professionalism and essential dispositions of thinking to enhance nursing service workers' job performance.

The purpose of this study was to compare the self-esteem and professionalism of dental hygiene students according to an educational system(three-year course and four-year course). The subjects in this study were 579 dental hygiene students in Chungcheong Province, on whom a survey was conducted. The findings of the study were as follows: The result on self-esteem and professionalism rate according to their satisfaction level towards the course shows that self-esteem of those who answered "satisfied" 3.02 in three-year-course, and 2.96 in four-year-course(p<.05), while professionalism rate of those who answered "satisfied" reach 2.97 in three-year-course and 2.93 in four-year-course(p<.05). As to self-esteem by motivation of choosing the department, the students who chose the department in hopes of being well paid had the best self-esteem both in the three-year-course colleges(3.18) and four-year-course universities(3.02). In terms of professionalism, those who chose the department in consideration three-year-course colleges, and the students who wanted to get a lifelong job(3.29) were most excellent in the four-year-course universities(p<.01).

본 연구는 한국 여성사서들의 전반적인 직업실태 및 직업관을 조사 분석함으로 여성사서들이 향후 한국 사서직의 전문성 제고에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 봄에 그 목적을 두었다. 조사 대상은 전국의 공공, 대학, 전문도서관의 정사서자격증을 소지한 여성사서들이며 자기보고식 질문지를 통하여 자료를 수집, SPSS통계 팩케지에 의해 처리하였다. 여성사서들의 인구학적 특성 (연령별 분포; 결혼여부; 교육수준), 직업적 특성(관종별 분포; 직위; 재직연한; 업무지속성;전문직적 활동), 직업에 대한 태도(결혼후의 계속근무의사; 직업계속동기; 성차별요인; 직업만족도) 등이 분석되었으며 결론을 통하여 한국사서직의 전문성제고와 발전을 위한 구체적인 방안이 제안되었다. (본 연구는 연구자의 박사학위논문(1991) 내용의 일부를 발췌한 것으로 통계수치는 기존의 연구결과에 ‘한국도서관총계’(한국도서관협회, 1993)상의 수치를 반영한 것임.)

The purpose of this study was to explore how the college students of the beauty department changed their perspective about jobs, career development, and self-reflection in the process of job shadowing. We selected 8 students who were enrolled in the beauty department of a college located in the capital area and conducted individual in-depth interviews with them. According to the result of the study, First, participants have learned attitude, knowledge, competence, and an important matter necessary to achieve a excellent performance in the beauty job. In particular, they figured out that a core competency for a successful beauty job is to share a social relationship with the clients. Second, they recognized that doing a beauty job is very tough and then set a criteria to make a decision of their future job. Doing a Job shadowing made them being change in the area of job and their job perspective. Finally, they looked themselves back how they are satisfying with developing their career at the beauty department. This study is significantly meaningful in that it contextually showed how the college students are developing their job careers through an indirect job experience from a constructive point of view. Moreover, this study is different from the existing studies focusing on student's direct work experiences such as the existing internship programs, which focused on exploring the student's indirect work experience and the process of their vicarious learning. The result of the current study has a practical implication in terms of providing a basic perspective for career education for students of colleges.

The purpose of this study was to investigate nurses' consciousness of biomedical ethics and professionalism in general hospitals. Participants in this study were 163 nurses working in 3 general hospitals. Data analysis was done using SPSS / WIN 24.0 program. As a result of this study, the consciousness of biomedical ethics of the nurse was moderate. The highest sub-area was 'right to life of fetus' and 'artificial abortion' was the lowest sub-area. The professionalism of the subjects was moderate. The highest sub-area was 'reference professional group' and 'sense of mission' was the lowest sub-area. The nurses' consciousness of biomedical ethics was related to professionalism. Therefore, nurses should be educated to help ethical decision making so that they can have bioethical value and bioethical decision making ability according to the changes and demands of the times. In addition, institutional arrangements to improve professionalism should be provided.

This paper aims to comprehend the career plan and job view of the students of Dept. of Dental Hygiene who are expected to graduate with a bachelor of science degree, explain the characteristics of their jobs after graduation, compare them with the graduates of associate of science degree and finally give a basic data necessary for developing careers in the future. From the survey of 184 would-be graduates of Departments of Dental Hygiene at 6 universities that produce dental hygiene graduates in 2011 and 251 would-be graduates with a A.S. degree of Dept. of Dental Hygiene, whose course takes 3 years, this paper reaches the conclusion below. More graduates with B.S. degree in dental hygiene than those with a A.S. degree want to attend graduate school after graduation. It is found that most of the graduates with B.S. degree in dental hygiene wanted to work as a dental hygienist until they reach retirement age after getting a job. They favor dental hospitals, which give them a higher salary and ensure them of retirement age. They have a lower-esteemed job view: they think that their jobs are socially lower regarded, compared with graduates with a A.S. degree. It is found that those who wish to attend graduate school have lower job satisfaction than those who want to get a job after graduation. It is necessary for the educational institutes of dental hygiene to teach their graduates have a positive attitude their job and for the association to make an active effort to increase the job satisfaction of dental hygiene students as well as dental hygienists by enhancing social recognition of a dental hygiene.

This study was carried out to enlighten on the factors by which newspaper headlines are determined and to empirically explore how news influence variables, editor's role orientation and professionalism have impact on deciding headlines. It turned out from the survey of 345 journalists working in the editorial departments of 17 major national daily and economic newspapers that 7 determinant factors have impact on editors deciding headlines: creativity, standardized expression, fairness, consideration for a readers, reflection of company policy, summarization and intriguer. In addition, the determinant factors of headlines were analyzed to have correlation with news influence variables such as the government-sponsors, readers and colleagues, and company policy and the management. In the awareness of role, also, it was shown that the editors who considered social integration as important place weighted on the reflection of company policy, fairness and creativity; those editors who placed power monitoring on priority took fairness and creativity seriously; and the editors who believed that delivering information was important thought of fairness, consideration for a readers and summarization as important. In addition, the organization-oriented editors turned out compliant to a system, positive on the governmental policies and sought for social stability; those editors who put a premium on a sense of objective balance and neutrality showed a strong aspect of a professional in social reform, check against government and the social governance by the privileged.

This study identifies the relationships between professional values, bioethics and death ethic perception in Korean nursing students. The study included 284 nursing students. Data was obtained through convenient sampling, adopting a cross-sectional design methodology. Professional values among nurses were significantly different according to occupational view (p<.001), ethical perception (p<.001) and ethical values (p<.001). Death ethic perception was significantly different based on ethical education (p<.05) and ethical values(p<.05). Positive correlations were found between nursing professional values, bioethics and death ethic perception, death ethic was significant predictors of professional values with an explanatory power of 15.0%. The findings of this study may assist in providing a detailed understanding of values among Korean nursing professionals, bioethics and death ethic perception.
