The purpose of this study is to have the development of special libraries in Korea and produce policy alternatives and current implications as well as to analyze the management evaluation of Korea special libraries in 2011. The evaluation of 39 detailed index scored at 51.8 out of 100. There were five evaluation territory. Among them, the facility environment's score was the highest as 77.3 and manpower was 53.5, library management were 51.0. The information resource and service territory were analyzed under 50 as scored 49.3 and 45.4. Closely look at the detailed index, the highest index was 'user amenity' (96.7) from facility environment and the lowest index was 'participation record of the long-term educational training of library staff' (13.0). This study diagnosed current management of libraries and problem as well as to analyze the result of administration evaluations of special libraries in nation throughout 2012. The institution type of special libraries in Korea is very varied such as central administrative agency, government-funded research institute, local government, and education office in local-affiliated institute, business, private organization, hospital, the press and so on; therefore, the analysis result can be utilize for basic information to provide future special libraries type in order to make differentiated policy making.

This study aimed to analyze the overall operation status of the Bank of Korea library representing the economic library in Korea, investigate user satisfaction and demand, and to propose a direction for the development of the economic library in the future. To this end, a case study was conducted on changes in the external environment of major libraries at home and abroad, and a user survey was conducted. As a result, the future tasks include introducing smart systems, robotics some library services, non-face-to-face service response spaces that reflect the times, introducing big data analysis services, strengthening user-tailored systems, and activating SNS communication. It proposed developing specialized libraries, online reference and research support services, and providing original DBs for publications to strengthen expertise, maintaining and expanding cloud services, maintaining and expanding cooperative projects, and collecting national knowledge and information.

The purpose of this study are to analyze tasks of the public librarians through Job Analysis ('DACUM') and to survey the demands of professional librarian (professional librarian types), As the results, In public libraries, technical services (classification, cataloging etc.,) is reduced, while reading, culture (continued education), and information service are increased. Also, we identified 5 types of professional librarian which is composed 4 function oriented types, and 1 user oriented types, is suggested : reading coach, cultural service librarian, external work librarian, computing support librarian, children librarian.

This study outlined the meaning, roles, and competencies required for specialized law librarian; examined the American educational system in law librarianship and analyzed the situation of American Schools of Library and Information Studies for the education of specialized law librarian; and recommended the special law librarianship program under the Department of Library and Information Science in the Graduate School.

대학 및 연구소 도서관의 디지틀 도서관 구축작업이 본격화되고 있다. 국내에 디지틀 도서관 구축을 시작한 대학은 현재 두군데 정도지만, 도입을 고려하고 있거나 준비중인 곳을 따져보면 빠른 시간에 확산될 '열린' 시장이다. 디지틀 도서관은 대학 도서관 뿐 아니라 정부출연연구소, 지방자치단체 등에서도 활용가치가 높다. 또 멀티미디어 데이터까지 처리하므로 VOD, AOD 서비스를 할 수 있는 방송국, 박물관 등에서도 디지틀 도서관 구축은 앞으로 필수적이라 볼 수 있다. 이 분야를 집중 공략하고 있는 시스템통합 및 전문업체들의 구축전략 및 기술현황을 살펴본다.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of the book services and academic information services provided by the major search portals of Korea and the United States. This study also investigates the relationships between search portals and academic libraries. The results of this study can be implemented for the development and improvement of the portals' book and academic information services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing services from search portals. The results of this study can also provide implications for the differentiation of academic library services.

This study aims to examine the case of using the social network services in the korea library, and then search the type of social network services and the status of it's introduction. It is used to the study of the introduction and the invigoration of social network services on the compatible library. First, we extracted the list of four type's high level management libraries from 2010 to 2012. Second, we examined the website's homepage of the list of 32's university library, 41's public library, 40's school library, 9's special library. Third, the result of analysis identified the feature and difference of the using the social network services of these libraries. Fourth, on the base of the result, it suggested some items of introduction's issue and the directions of future research.

본 논문에서는 디지털 시대 흐름에 따라 최근 들어 종이책보다 전자책 이용률이 높아졌기에 이를 바탕으로 독서의 접근성을 더 높이기 위한 온라인 도서관 시스템을 제안한다. 해당 시스템에서 사용자의 경우, 온라인으로 도서 검색 및 대여, 희망도서 신청 그리고 자유게시판 등의 시스템을 편리하게 사용할 수 있다. 관리자의 경우, 간편한 도서 및 회원 관리 기능, 공지사항 기능뿐만 아니라 도서 현황이나 대여 현황 등을 그래프 및 차트로 시각화하여 서비스를 제공한다. 주요 사용하는 페이지는 반응형 웹 페이지로 구현을 하였기에 PC뿐만 아니라 다양한 기기로도 활용할 수 있도록 사용자의 편의성을 제공한다.

This study reports the result of the survey on collection management from 154 school libraries in Korea. The questionnaire is consisted of three section: state of collection, state of book use, and collection management system. Results reveal that (1) elementary schools and middle schools have many books for each student compared to the KLA's School Library Standards; (2) the component ratio of literature books is the biggest in school library collections; (3) the ratio of library book use is overwhelmingly higher in elementary schools than middle schools and high schools; (4) 64.6 percent of library books in the sample are never used during 2013-2015; (5) 74 percent of libraries have its own collection management document; (6) Almost all schools compose its own committee for library management, the committee plays an important roles in the communication among school members, collection development and promotion.

본 연구의 목적은 전문도서관인 공무원교육원 도서관의 공동수서정책을 위해 이용자의 요구를 인용문헌분석을 통해 파악하고자 하였다. 이을 위해 3개 공무원교육원의 주이용자인 장기교육생의 인용문헌을 자료의 유형분석, 자료의 최신성 분석, 인용문헌수 분석, 외국문헌 이용현황과 핵심자료를 파악하고자 하여 공무원교육원 도서관의 공동수서정책에 반영하고자 하였다. 그 결과 형태별로는 연구보고서의 인용율이 가장 높았으며, 평균인용건수를 분석한 결과, 교육수료보고서의 1인당 평균인용건수는 29.42권으로 조사되었다. 발행시기별로 분석한 결과, 출판 후2${\sim}$5년 내의 자료를 40.6%로 가장 많이 인용하는 것으로 조사되었으며, 언어별 분석 결과, 국내서로 기술된 문헌의 인용율은 90.1%로 조사되었다. 핵심자료를 파악한 결과 단행본의 최대 피인용문헌빈도(3회 이상)는 155권 이었으며, 학술지는 112종, 통계자료는 34권이었다.
