슬롯 유무에 따른 초고속 마이크로 터빈용 영구자석 전동발전기의 손실해석 및 비교 (Comparison on Electromagnetic Losses of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor/Generator according to slotted and slotless for High-speed Micro Turbine)

  • This paper deals with comparison on Electromagnetic losses of slotted and slotless high-speed PM Machine for Micro Turbine. Losses are consist of core losses, copper losses and eddy current losses. We are using both analytical method and 2D Finite Element Method for more detailed losses analysis. And then We compare Electromagnetic losses of slotted and slotless PM synchronous machine. This machine has designed of a generator of 800W, 400000rpm and a starter of 400W, 200000rpm.

  • This paper presents the double side PM synchronous motor/generator for core loss reduction in flywheel energy storage system. The use of double PM rotor causes the elimination of core loss in no-load state of machine. Because flywheel rotational speed is reduced by core loss, double PM rotor is very effective in flywheel system. This paper suggests two types of double side PM rotor, Halbach magnetized array and parallel magnetized array. And characteristic comparison according to thickness of rotor back core is performed.

  • This paper deals with the magnetic field analysis and compution of cogging torque using an analytical method in high speed brushless motor/generator. The magnetic field is analyzed by solving space harmonics field analysis due to magnetizing distribution and the cogging torque is analyzed by combining field analysis with relative permeance.

  • The $CO_2$ emission can be decreased due to freedom of generator maintenance scheduling(GMS). This paper proposes assessment of $CO_2$ emission considering generator maintenance scheduling(GMS) and evaluates effect of the GMS on $CO_2$ emission. And also, this paper assesses the $CO_2$ emission and the probabilistic production cost simulation of nuclear and thermal power generators considering operation of hydro and pumped generator. The minimum reliability criterion level satisfied production cost minimization function model is used in this paper. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by simulation studies for a real size power system in Korea in 2010.

전동/발전기 코어에 의한 초전도 플라이휠 에너지 저장장치의 회전손실 특성 평가 (Rotational loss assessment of flywheel energy storage system by Motor/Generator core)

  • In this paper, the rotational loss of the superconductor flywheel energy storage system (SFES) by motor/generator stator core was assessed. To do this, the vertical axial type SFES with journal type superconductor bearing was manufactured. To quantitatively assess the rotational loss by the stator core, the rotational losses by superconductor bearing and the degree of a vacuum were measured. In case of variation of the inner radius and outer radius of the stator core, the rotational losses were measured. From the experimental results, It is confirmed that the rotational loss can be reduced by means of the optimal stator core design.

  • 본 논문에서는 플라이휠에너지를 이용한 다이나믹 UPS 시스템에서 유도기를 이용하여 플라이휠의 에너지를 저장 및 재생하는 시스템 제어 기법을 제시하였다. 유도발전기의 슬립주파수 제어와 벡터제어 기법의 특성을 비교하고, 또한 벡터제어 기법을 사용 시 전동 모드에서 발전 모드로의 전환할 때 직류링크 커패시터 전압의 과도 특성을 개선하는 기법을 개발하였다. 32비트 DSP를 사용한 실험을 통하여 이 기법의 성능을 확인하였다.

  • 현재 풍력발전 기술은 전 세계에서 가장 빠르게 성장하고 있는 기술로서 2010년도에 세계 보급량은 200GW를 넘을 것으로 추정되고 있다. 이에 우리나라도 풍력발전 기술 집약에 전력하고 있지만 풍력단지에 대한 운영 경험은 매우 제한적이며, 연계 기준 수립에 대한 기초가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 한국계통의 특성을 고려한 연계 기준 및 최적 운영 방안 수립을 위한 다양한 국가에서 적용하고 있는 풍력 발전 단지에 대한 연계 및 운영 기준에 대한 검토가 필요한 실정이며 세계 각국에서 적용되고 있는 풍력 발전기의 계통 연계 기준을 분석 및 검토하였다.

  • Both of induction generator and synchronous generator is available in the hydroelectric power plant. If the output of the power station is large, the synchronous generator is mainly used but when its output is low, the induction generator is often used. If the output capacity is small, there is a case in which induction motor is used as a generator. Torque at rated operation and start of the induction motor is different depending on the shape of the rotor. Small and medium-sized squirrel-cage induction motor is used primarily double cage rotor or deep bar. In this study, we attempt to interpret characteristics for double cage rotor or deep bar that occur when operating in the induction generator based on the parameters that have been designed and manufactured as an induction motor.

  • The rotational loss is one of the most important problems for the practical applications of PM synchronous motor/generator. This rotational loss is divided as the mechanical loss by windage and bearing and iron loss by hysteresis loop and eddy current in the part of the magnetic field. So, In this paper, a double-sided PMSM/G without the iron loss is designed by analytical method of the magnetic field and estimation of the back-EMF constant represented as the design parameter. This design model consists of the double-sided PM rotor with Halbach magnetized array and coreless 3-phase winding stator. The results show that the double-sided PMSM/G without iron loss can be applicable to the required system without the rotational loss.

  • In high speed applications, the slotless permanent magnet(PM) motors appear an attractive solution, being almost insensitive to magneto-motive force harmonics and to pulse width modulation(PWM) current ripple and exhibiting lower stator iron losses and rotor losses (significant with square wave current control). So, this paper deals with methods for design of permanent magnet synchronous motor/generator.
