A Developement of Group-Level Distance Education System Using the Generator of Hierarchical WBI Documents on the WWW (WWW에서 계층적 WBI 문서 생성기를 이용한 수준별 원격교육시스템 개발)

  • Recently the user of distance education system using Intemet-Web are increasing rapidly. This paper shows that Hierarchical WBI documents generator by using CGI is devised and applied to development of distance education system for group-level spoken english. This overcomes the problems of the ready-made programs, which took a lot of time and cost. To generate WBI documents, The key is established to each document saved in server by types of the hierarchical structure and is transmitted to client. By client transmitting this key to server when next documentary is required. Sever can know what documents the client needs. The WBI documentary generator tells the keys transmitted from the client, automatically generates a new documentary to send, and delivery it.

  • TCP/IP 프로토콜을 사용하여 서버와 클라이언트를 연결하고 서버는 무선랜을 이용하여 여러 개의 디바이스를 제어할 수 있는 분산제어시스템을 구현했다. 디바이스의 제어 명령과 모니터링을 하는 클라이언트는 LAN을 통하여 서버에 접속한 후 디바이스 제어 명령을 서버에 전달한다. 서버는 디바이스 제어 명령을 수신한 후 실제 데이터만을 골라내어 디바이스가 받아들일 수 있는 데이터 형식으로 변환하여 RF 모듈을 통해 디바이스에 전달한다. 서버로부터 데이터를 수신한 디바이스는 제어명령을 실행한 후 센서는 디바이스의 상태를 체크하여 RF모듈을 통하여 서버에 전달한다. 다시 서버는 디바이스의 상태를 클라이언트가 받아들일 수 있는 데이터형식으로 변환하여 전달하고 클라이언트는 서버로부터 데이터를 수신하여 디바이스의 상태를 모니터링 한다. 각각의 디바이스는 자신만의 마이크로 프로세서를 가짐으로서 서버로부터 간단한 명령을 받아 각 프로세서가 스스로 판단하고 동작을 하게 된다. 서버와의 연결이 끊어질 경우 마이크로프로세서에 마지막 들어온 제어명령의 상태를 유지한다. 이 논문은 인터넷을 이용한 무선장치의 제어할 수 있는 안정된 시스템의 구현방법을 제시하며 서로 다른 프로토콜을 연결시키기 위하여 데이터의 구조를 변환시키고 여러 개의 디바이스가 안정된 동작을 도록 하는 방법을 제안했다.

  • 기본적으로 전력전송개념에서 최대의 전력이 전달하기 위해서는 전력전송단과 부하단사이의 임피던스를 맞추어 주어야 최대의 전력이 전달된다. 무선전력전송 역시 RF Source와 송수신 코일간의 임피던스를 맞추어야 최대의 전력전달과 효율을 기대할 수 있다. 따라서 송수신 코일과 부하간에 임피던스 매칭은 필수적으로 필요하다. 매칭이 원할하지 않을 경우 RF Source에 반사전력이 반사되어 심각한 손실을 발생할 수 있으며, 수신부의 부하단에 최대로 전력이 전달되지 않으며 전체 시스템 효율이 나빠지게 된다. 임피던스 매칭회로 타입에는 여러가지 타입이 사용되는데 대표적으로 L type, T Type, π type이 일반적으로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 L type, T type, π type 방식을 이용하여 각 타입별 매칭범위와 매칭특성에 대한 기초실험을 수행하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 효율적인 환자 이송 및 치료를 위한 응급구조사와 의료기관 간의 의사소통 및 질 관리를 위한 EC&M (Efficient Communication and Management) 시스템을 제안한다. 이는 관련 앱을 효율적으로 사용하여 응급차 배치부터 병원 도착 시 환자 수속 작업 등을 최소화하고, 각 작업의 수행시간을 최소화 한다. 또한 이 시스템의 사용자는 소방청, 의료기관, 119 응급 구조사이고, 이 중 응급구조사에 초점을 두었다. 이는 PRE-KTAS를 소방청과 의료기관에 동시전달하여 전달된 PRE-KTAS를 통한 적절한 의료기관을 배치하고 선정된 응급의학 전문의에게 직접의료지도를 요청할 수 있다. 그리고 응급구조사는 의무기록활동지를 작성하여 의료기관에 전달하여 내용전달의 효율성을 높인다. 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안하는 응급구조사와 의료기관 간의 정보 공유 시스템은 기존에 제안하는 앱을 사용하지 않고 발생했던 많은 문제를 해결 할 수 있을 것이므로 기존의 앱보다 우수할 것으로 기대된다.

Finite Element Analysis of Transfer Length in Pretensioned Prestressed Concrete Members (프리텐션 PSC부재의 전달길이 해석 및 예측에 관한 연구)

  • The transfer of prestress force in pretensioned prestressed concrete (PSC) members is of great concern because it affects directly the distribution of stress around the transfer zone. The design provision of current design code on the transfer length considers only the prestress intensity and the diameter of prestressing steels. However, other factors such as concrete compressive strength and concrete cover may affect greatly the transfer length. The purpose of the present paper is to explore the various factors that affect the transfer length in pretensioned PSC members. The bond stress-slip relation between prestressing steel and concrete was modeled first from experimental data and then this model was incorporated into the interface element. The interface element was used to perform the finite element analysis for pretensioned PSC members. The results indicate that the compressive strength and concrete cover are also very important parameters which affect the transfer length greatly. This means that the current design code, which considers only the effective prestress and diameter of prestressing steel, must be improved to take into account the other important variables of compressive strength and concrete cover. The present study allows more realistic analysis and design of pretensioned PSC members.

Fire Alarm Sound Transmission in Apartment Units (공동주택에서의 화재경보음 전달)

  • To reduce the number of casualties in the case of fire, an alarm sound needs to be delivered to the people who remain in the apartment unit. On the other hand, it was reported that the fire alarm sound generated in the elevator hall was not delivered sufficiently to the people staying in the apartment units. In this study, the background noise level and noise level generated in an apartment unit were measured during the day and night time. In addition, the transmission of the fire alarm sound into the each room of apartment units was simulated and compared with the background noise level. The fire alarm sound generated in the elevator halls was reduced by the fire door and doors, and was not transmitted sufficiently into the internal spaces of the apartment units. Starting evacuation action was difficult after hearing the fire alarm sound generated outside the apartment units. To improve the transmission of an alarm sound to the inner spaces of apartment units, an acoustic simulation was carried out for cases where the alarm sound generator was installed on a wall-pad in the living room and the alarm sound generator was installed on the ceiling of each rooms in apartment units. Background noise of + 15 dB and 75 dB (A) were satisfied when alarm sound generator was installed on the ceiling of each room.

Wave Reflection and Transmission from Buoyant Flap Typed Storm Surge Barriers - Hydraulic Experiments (부유 플랩형 고조방파제의 파랑 반사 및 전달 - 수리실험)

  • To evaluate wave reflection and transmission from buoyant flap-typed storm surge barriers, hydraulic experiments were performed by using regular and irregular wave conditions. Buoyant flap-typed storm surge barriers consist of buoyant main body connected with foundation structure in the seabed by hinge. The characteristics of wave reflection, transmission and dynamic response of the structure were investigated for 36 regular and 4 irregular wave conditions. It was also evaluated the usage of plain plate attached on the buoyant main body as one of alternatives to control wave reflection and transmission. From the hydraulic experiments, it was found that the case of plain plate attached on the offshore side is very effective to improve the wave transmission as well as reflection. But, the effect of the case on the harbor side might be negligible.

  • In this work, signal transmission properties of SATA connector have been improved using its differential impedance calculation and its design revision to closer impedance matching. Using 3 dimensional electromagnetic field simulator, the differential mode S-parameter was calculated to investigate its signal fidelity. The differential impedance is calculated from the equation of the odd mode impedance with inductance, capacitance, mutual inductance, and mutual capacitance. The differential impedance of SATA connector was calculated to be 107.3Ω and did not meet the design specification with 100Ω±5. In order to achieve its impedance range and improve its signal transmission properties, SATA connector's design has been revised with two different directions and analyzed through the calculation of differential impedance, differential reflection loss, and differential insertion loss.

Evaluation of Convective Heat Transfer Performance of Twist-Vane Spacer Grid in Rod Bundle Flow (봉다발 유동 내 비틀림 혼합날개 지지격자의 대류열전달 성능 평가)

  • The performance of convective heat transfer in rod bundle flow was experimentally evaluated using a twist-vane spacer grid. A 4×4 square-arrayed rod bundle was prepared as the test section, with a pitch-to-diameter ratio(P/D) of ~1.35. To check the convective heat transfer performance, the circumferential and longitudinal variations in rod-wall temperatures were measured downstream of the twist-vane spacer grid. In the circumferential measurements, the rod-wall temperature toward the twist-vane tip showed the lowest value, which might be due to the deflected water flow caused by the twist-vane. On the other hand, the wall temperature of the longitudinal measurements near the twist-vane spacer grid decreased dramatically, which implies that the convective heat transfer performance was enhanced. A heat transfer enhancement of ~35 % was achieved near downstream of the twist-vane spacer grid, as compared with the upstream value. Based on the present experimental data, a correlation for predicting the heat transfer performance of a twist-vane spacer grid was proposed.

  • Biological treatment is promising alternative to conventional air pollution control method. Bioreactors for air pollution control have found most of their success in the treatment of dilute and high flow waste air streams containing volatile organic compounds and odor. The studies of mass transfer in biotrickling filters for air pollution control were of importance in order to control and optimize the purification process. The objectives of this study were to develop the experimental methodologies to evaluate the mass transfer coefficients of gas/liquid(trickling liquid), gas/solid(biomass) and liquid/solid in three phase biotrickling filtration. Also, this study characterized the influence factors on mass transfer such as dynamic holdup volume, gas/liquid flow rate ratio, biomass weight in reactor and recirculation rate of trickling medium for each phase of biotrickling filter.
