This study explores the structural behavior of module joints in floating concrete structures subjected to shear. Crack patterns, shear behavior and shear capacity of shear keys in joints of concrete module were investigated. Test parameters included shear key shape, or inclination of shear keys, confining stress levels and compressive strength of concrete. Test results showed that shear strength of joints increased as shear key inclination increased. Test results also showed that shear strength of concrete module joints increased with the increase of confining stress levels. The equation for predicting shear strength of joints was suggested, which was based on the test results. Shear strength prediction by using the equation suggested in this study showed good agreement with test results.
In this study, fiber elements and a spring are used to build a reinforced concrete shear wall model. The fiber elements and the spring reflect flexural and shear behaviors of the shear wall, respectively. The fiber elements are built by inputting section data and material properties. The spring parameters representing strength and stiffness degradation, pinching, and slip were determined by comparing behaviors of fiber element and VecTor2 results. 'Pinching4' model in OpenSees is used for shear spring. The parameter selecting process for shear spring is a complicated and time consuming process. To study the applicability of the fiber element, reinforced concrete buildings containing a shear wall are evaluated using nonlinear dynamic analysis with various wall aspect ratio (H/L), various beam heights, and stiffness and flexural strength of beam and wall ratios. The aspect ratio of the wall showed distinct difference in IDR (interstory drift ratio) of the models with and without spring. On the other hand, the height of beam and ratio of stiffness and flexural strength of beam and wall did not show clear relation.

Recently the use of concrete post-installed set anchors has been increasing because this constructing method is flexible and easy to attach or fix structural members when we repair, reinforce, or remodel a concrete structures. Depending on the shear strength of steel, the strength of concrete, edge distance and anchor interval, etc, the anchor loaded in shearing exhibits various failure modes such as steel failure, concrete failure, concrete pryout. In this study, the objective is to investigate the effects of the variations like anchor embedment depth, anchor interval, edge distance and concrete strength on the shear failure behavior of post-installed concrete set anchor embedded in concrete. The results of embedment depth experiments show that concrete strength has much effection on the shallow embedment depth. Steel failure occur to all results of the anchor interval experiments, but concrete is failed when edge distance experiments that less than the embedment depth. Through the comparision of the same parameters experiments results show that as strong as concrete strength are the displacement results are small.

For the purpose of improvement of the load carrying capacity and constructibility of the conventional steel-concrete composite girder through a effective appliance of the construction materials and optimization of the girder section, a new type section of composite girder and RC shear connection were proposed. In this study shear strength of the RC shear connection is estimated, and the characteristics of shear load-slip behaviour is analyzed. Push-out tests on shear specimens and FEM analysis with various design parameters are carried out, and results are analyzed. The results of test and FEM analysis showed that shear strength of RC shear connection is underestimated by the design provisions of the current design code. By regression analysis a empirical equation for the estimation of shear strength of RC shear connection is proposed.

This study presents the analysis of the identifications and determinations of the material parameters in the developed model in the former paper and their effects on the stress paths. It was shown that the influences of the parameters, specially involved in the strain rate and the viscous nucleus, were in generally acceptable range. From this point, the model was modified by identifying the plastic yield surface and the viscous yield surface in the same mathematical form. The modified model was successful in simulating stress path.
To evaluate the proposed shear strength models developed in a companion paper, the shear strengths of test specimens strengthened with FRP were predicted by ACl specification, and elsewhere. The advantage and disadvantage of the models were investigated by the comparisons with the test results. The characteristics and limitations of the existing model were investigated with respect to FRP types, strengthening methods, shear span to depth ratio and effective strength of FRP. The results of this parametric study showed that the proposed shear strength model is more accurate than other models.

This study investigates the shear behavior of architectural masonry veneer wall reinforced with specific reinforcement details proposed by this study. For this purpose, experimental tests were conducted using one un-reinforced masonry(URM) wall specimen and three reinforced masonry(RM) wall specimens under quasi static cyclic loads. Un-reinforced(plain) masonry wall is expressed that behavior and failure mode are different for aspect ratio(L/H) and axial compressive force. The test variables are wall aspect ratio and presence of reinforcement. These specimens are masonry structure for architectural clading that is not to exist the axial compressive force. thus the axial compressive force is excepted from test variable. Test result, Behavior of specimens are dominated over rocking mode, but final failure modes are combined with different behaviors. And FEMA273 has proposed the equation of shear strength of masonry pier subjected to in-plane loading. Shear strength equations are classified four types of failure mode that is Rocking, and Toe-Crushing, Bed-Joint-Sliding and Diagonal-Tension. FEMA273 equations predict the behavior modes well, but shear strength is shown in different result.
SFRC overcomes brittleness of concrete and has increases strength due to the action of confmement,
crack arrestmg mechan~sm and pull out resistances of steel f~bers ~ n s ~ d e the concrete.
These lead also to the increased strength and ductility under the shear stress. It has been reported
that the secondary remforcement effect of steel fibers IS more pronounced In shear than
flexure. Addition of hooked stee!, fibers into the cementitious materials enhanced shear resistance
and consequently improves structural behavior and shear strength of Reinforced
Hooked-Steel-Fiber Concrete Ream(RHSFCI3) under the shear forces. Experimental observations
were made on the main parameters effecting structural behavior of RHSFCB in this study.
The volume fractions of fibers, shear span to depth ratios, and spaclngs of stlrrups were taken
into account as the mam parameters. Some eyuatlons reported in the literatures, regardmg the
predict~ons of the shear strength of RHSFCB have been evaluated stdtlst~cdlly based on the tot
a1 number of 95 test results on RHSFCB faded In shear on shear flexu~al mode.
