지난 05년 12월에 내린 폭설로인해 전라도 지역 양계농가에 큰 피해가 잇따라 발생했다. 전국적으로 양계를 포함해 3천 5백억원의 피해를 입은 것으로 알려지고 있는 가운데 본회 최준구 회장은 지난 1월 10~11일 이틀에 걸쳐 호남지역을 방문, 피해현장을 돌아보았다. 이날 최준구 회장은 광주·전남 도지회를 방문하여 양계농가 회원들과 함께 폭설피해 대책 논의를 했다. 큰 피해가 말해 주듯이 호남 양계인들이 다수 모여 피해상황과 대책논의를 위해 광주ㆍ전남도지회에 모였다. 방문일정으로 전남지역은 윤한성 지회장과 김회동 상무가 동행했으며 전북지 역은 박옥룡 지회장과 이희환 상무가 동행해 실질적인 피해현황을 파악하는데 도움을 주었으며 최준구 회장은 방문 농가마다 격려금을 전달하며 위로의 뜻을 전하였다. 본고는 방문한 4개 농장에 대해 피해실태를 간접적으로 파악해 보았다.

This paper outlines a plan to promote South Jeonnam region's logistics capability in connection with the regional logistics bases such as Gwangyang Port, Jangseong Integrated Freight Terminal, Mokpo Port and Muan International Airport. The capability of regional innovation bodies, and industrial innovation generally, needs to be improved by establishing a systematic regional innovation plan. Smaller import and export logistics bases, presently scattered in downtown Gwangju and its suburban area, need to be integrated as soon as possible, in advance of the completion of a traffic network connecting all of the triangle logistics bases. Moreover, plans to develop Muan International Airport to the status of a hub airport need to be established, and its function as an air freight terminal should be strengthened. Gwangyang Port and Mokpo Port should be developed as Korea's key harbors with international logistics bases the two ports, presently conducting simple cargo work, should be transformed into general logistics ports conducting logistics, assembling, trading, and international business by developing their surrounding areas.

This paper investigated the awareness and activation of food tourism festivals in Gwangju, Jeonnam Province. A survey was conducted for the visitors of the Gwangju Kimchi Festival at nearby Gwangju Jeungoe park from October 15 to 19, 2011, and finally 207 respondents were analyzed. As a results of this study, the visitors who visited the Gwangju Kimchi Festival have a lot of interest in local food and food festivals. Also, most of the visitors have much more affection for the area and the food culture developed by geographical influence. The Gwangju Kimchi festival proved to be the most popular food tourism festival in Gwangju, Jeonnam among others. There are much more food festivals than other regions in Gwangju, Jeonnam because of popularity of food festivals, a variety of food, and various kinds of food ingredients. What is necessary to activate the food tourism festivals in Gwangju, Jeonnam includes a variety of programs related to food tourism experience, the development of competitive food tourism products, and PR for well-being food of these areas.

Central government of Korea devised the balanced national development as one of important agenda of government administration, and set up special act for balanced national development. According to special act, a plan to transfer public institutions to local areas was publicized on June 24, 2005. Thus 175 public institutions located in the capital area will be transfered to 11 local governments, and innovative cities will be built in local areas until 2012. However, Gwangju and Jeonnam province adopted not two individual innovative cities but one common innovative city in cooperation with two local governments. This study focuses on the characteristics of location selection process of common innovative city in Gwangju and Jeonnam province. Discussion about construction of common innovative city was started in need of new model for common development of two provinces, and most of peoples agreed a plan to establish on common innovative city within Jeonnam area near Gwangju area. Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Innovation Council, in particular, played an important role in the process of location selection and initial discussion about common innovative city. In addition, Common innovative city to be built in Naju city will be provided positive regional development effects in several dimensions. In result, it has been evaluated as a successful model of innovative city to be constructed with transfer of public institutions to local areas.

고층건물은 랜드마크로서 그 도시를 대표해 정치, 경제, 사회적으로 엄청난 파급효과 창출이 입증되면서 세계 유수 도시가 경쟁적으로 추진하고 있다. 광주광역시와 전라남도는 광주·전남을 상징하는 고층 건물 건립을 진행하고 있으며 현재 시공 중이거나 시공 예정인 고층 건물은 $\Delta$금호생명 광주사옥(30층) $\Delta$대우 디오빌(24층) $\Delta$광주은행 본사(20층) 등이다. 광주·전남 지역에 건립된 고층건물에 대해 알아본다. 본지는 지난 6월 서울특별시에 이어 전국에 건설 중이거나 건설 예정인 고층건물에 대한 정보를 수록할 예정이다.
