  • The purpose of this study is to analyze affecting factors on the income, farming scale, and farming implementation of graduates of the Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries using panel model. For this, we used a generalized estimation equation among the panel analysis methods. The factors that have a positive (+) effect on income were men, married people, and successive farmers. In the case of parents' cooperative farming, dairy farming or poultry farming, matching the major at the time of graduation with the main items, the income was also high. Factors that have a positive (+) effect on farming scale were unmarried people, parents' cooperative farming, aquaculture cultivation, and poultry farming. The factors that implemented the mandatory farming implementation well were men, married people, parents' cooperative farming, aquaculture cultivation, and pig farming. Through the results of this study, it will be possible to help manage and support graduates and enrolled students.

  • English is a stress-timed language that has a phonetic system in which the speech is restructured by stress changes. On the other hand, Korean is a syllable-timed language in which each syllable is pronounced at almost the same length and intensity, and Korean and English have distinctly different metrical systems in general speech. However, as the language of the lyrics in K-Pop music is mixed in both languages, Korean and English, the Korean lyrics in K-Pop music have a metrical system by stress changes as in English. The writer's view is that the change in the metrical structure of Korean lyrics is inevitable in order to sustain the new Korean Wave. Therefore, in this study, dance music - a major genre of K-Pop music that focuses on rhythm expression - is classified into 1998, 2003, and 2009 according to the changes in the Korean Wave, and the metrical structure of each period is compared and analyzed. Based on this, the current K-Pop metrical structure features are derived and the K-Pop Korean writing method is proposed that deviates from the existing limited writing method which allocates one syllable per note. The author hopes this research will be used as a methodology for writing lyrics in Korean songs in K-Pop, as well as a way to encourage the use of Korean lyrics.

  • This study investigates the interactivity of smart LMS. To this end, smart LMS was used for one semester in the English course for economics majors and the surveys about its interactivity were conducted. The findings show that smart LMS enhanced the interaction between instructors and students, between students and students, and between students and learning contents. Especially in the classroom, the activity bulletin made possible the instructor's immediate feedback about team-based activity outcomes. Also, outside the classroom, Wiki made it convenient for students to collaborate with each other. In addition, activity outcomes in the activity bulletin and course materials uploaded on smart LMS contributed to the interactivity. However, what is recommended to do to increase the interactivity are to prepare instructional strategies for students to get used to using smart LMS and smartphones as their learning tool, to test the target systems of smart LMS in advance, and to take proper actions to solve the problems of smartphone's data and battery.

  • This study aims at analyzing the course selecting standards of college students including Electives and Major courses. For the purpose of this study, we developed a survey through analyzing previous related-research and conducting interviews and pilot study. Using our survey questions, on- and off-line survey was conducted for 301 college students from November 1st to December 5th. As a result of the survey, college student's course selecting standards consist of five factors including 'convenience in learning', 'characteristics of instructors', 'practicality of courses', 'expectations of and interests in learning', and 'external factors.' With the result of factor analysis, we analyzed course selecting standards of college students divided into Electives and Major courses. For electives, 'convenience in learning' was most considered among five factors, followed by 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors', 'characteristics of instructors' and 'practicality of courses.' On the other hand, 'characteristics of instructors' was the highest consideration of college students when selecting courses in Major subjects, followed by 'convenience in learning', 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors' and 'practicality of courses.' This study examined what standards affect college student's course selection, considering Electives and Major courses respectively. We suggested further study on how college students select their courses and how this affect their satisfaction with college education.
