Data were collected using questionnaires from 214 students who were 3rd years in the nursing university in Gwangju, June 2019. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. The mean scores for the major satisfaction(3.71±0.53), communication skills(3.50±0.38), image of nurses(3.80±0.52), nursing professionalism(3.70±0.56) were above average. It was found that there were significant differences in the nursing professionalism depending on age, motivation for nursing clinical practice. Significant relationships were found among major satisfaction(r=.531, p=.000), communication skills(r=.531, p=.000), image of nurses(r=.836, p=.000) and nursing professionalism in nursing students. The results of stepwise multiple regression indicates that image of nurses(β=.705, p=.000) and communication skill(β=.136, p=.001) and major satisfaction(β=.133, p=.002) and predicts 72.8% in clinical practice competency(F=191.248, p<.001). In conclusion, to enhance nursing professionalism for nursing students, it is necessary to develop and utilize a program that enhances image of nurses, communication skills and major satisfaction.

  • To survive in the highly competitive environment, a vocational education institution must offer its students an attractive system of competency based vocational education. A first-term freshman at university and college should also be allowed to adjust the course selection Early exposure within one or more fields of study creates a high level of enthusiasm which helps students maintain their motivation. It also helps students decide if course selection is right for career choice and they should be provided a large number of diverse occupational opportunities later In this paper, we discuss how to activate the vocational education. Also we developed vocational guidance program for course selection through the subject for vocational guidance and the learning map for learning plan. This program was assessed through the survey on opinions of freshman.

  • Federated Learning is divided into synchronous federated learning and asynchronous federated learning. Asynchronous federated learning has a time advantage over synchronous federated learning, but asynchronous federated learning still has some challenges to obtain better performance. In particular, preventing performance degradation in non-IID training datasets, selecting appropriate clients, and managing stale gradient information are important for improving model performance. In this paper, we deal with K-asynchronous federated learning by using non-IID datasets. In addition, unlike traditional method using static K, we proposed an algorithm that adaptively adjusts K and we can reduce the learning time. Additionally, the we show that model performance is improved by using stale gradient handling method. Finally, we use a method of judging model performance to obtain strong model stability. Experiment results show that overall algorithm can obtain advantages of reducing training time, improving model accuracy, and improving model stability.

Methods: A self-administered questionnaire on choice of major and career values was completed by 224 students from March 2nd to March 15th of 2022. The collected data were analyzed using several metrics and tests with IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 software: frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and linear regression. Results: The average scores of the motive to choose a major, career values, satisfaction with the major, and immersion in the major were 3.15, 3.91, 3.56, and 3.45, respectively. There were significant correlations between all four variables (p<0.05). Career values and satisfaction with the major positively influenced a student's immersion in that major; the explanatory power of the model was 77% (p<0.01). • This study aims at analyzing the course selecting standards of college students including Electives and Major courses. For the purpose of this study, we developed a survey through analyzing previous related-research and conducting interviews and pilot study. Using our survey questions, on- and off-line survey was conducted for 301 college students from November 1st to December 5th. As a result of the survey, college student's course selecting standards consist of five factors including 'convenience in learning', 'characteristics of instructors', 'practicality of courses', 'expectations of and interests in learning', and 'external factors.' With the result of factor analysis, we analyzed course selecting standards of college students divided into Electives and Major courses. For electives, 'convenience in learning' was most considered among five factors, followed by 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors', 'characteristics of instructors' and 'practicality of courses.' On the other hand, 'characteristics of instructors' was the highest consideration of college students when selecting courses in Major subjects, followed by 'convenience in learning', 'expectations of and interests in learning', 'external factors' and 'practicality of courses.' This study examined what standards affect college student's course selection, considering Electives and Major courses respectively. We suggested further study on how college students select their courses and how this affect their satisfaction with college education.
