  • The purpose of this study was to compare the difference between the adaptive and internalizing/externalizing maladaptive behaviors of the sensory processing problemtic group classified from non-disabled preschoolers and to confirms the effects of sensory processing sub-factors on adaptive and maladaptive behaviors. This study participated in 335, 3-6 years typical preschoolers, carried out Short sensory profile, Vineland-II adaptive behavior scales. The study result in the sensory processing showed a significant positive correlation with the adaptive behavior, and a significant negative correlations were found in the internalizing/externalizing maladaptive behaviors. In the t-test, the problemtic group had lower adaptive behavior scores than the typical group. This study confirmed that atypical sensory processing affected not only adaptive behavior, but also internalizing/externalizing maladaptive problems, that sensory processing difficulties were more related to emotional and behavioral issues.

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis of food adaptation and dietary behavior of marriage migrant women in according to their acculturation type, and find out their relationship. The survey was conducted by well-trained researchers using questionnaires translated into English, Chinese and Vietnamese. Food adaptional score was the highest in the assimilation type, and the separation type was the lowest. Dietary behavioral score in daily intake of milk and dairy foods was the highest in the assimilation type. There were positive correlations occurred between food adaptional score and dietary behavioral score, and also, between food adaptional score and assimilation score. Analysis of structural equation models shows that only assimilation affects food adaptational score, and food adaptational score affects the improvement of dietary behavior. In conclusion, marriage migrant women's positive attitude of new cultures, assimilation, might help them not only adapt to new cultures, but food adaptation and right dietary behaviors.

  • This study aimed at promoting interests and concerns about adolescents' behavior problems and inducing efforts for various preventive and therapeutic solutions by examining the relations of adolescents' family system types, school adjustment, and behavior problems. The subjects of this study were 1,444 middle school students who reside in Seoul and 1,382(male adolescents 747, female adolescents 635) self reported questionnaires were used for final analysis. The result of this study are as follows. First, female adolescents were experiencing more internalizing behavior problems than male adolescents. The gender difference must be considered in the prevention and solution of the behavior problems. Second, the level of adolescents' school adjustment in the maladjusted family type was the lowest, and the level of adolescents' school adjustment in the adjusted family type was the highest. Improving the level of the family functioning can effectively increase the level of the school life the most behavior problems, and those of the adjusted family type were adaptability. Third, adolescents of the maladjusted family type were experiencing the most behavior problems, and those of the adjusted family type were experiencing the least behavior problems. Fourth, if adolescents' school adjustment was in the high level, adolescents were experiencing the lower behavior problems. Therefore, developing educational and counseling programs that can constantly observe adolescents' school adjustment and improve maladjustment problems is adolescents' school adjustment and behavior problems in all family system types. Specially, the negative correlation between male adolescents' school adjustment and externalizing behavior problems and the negative correlation between female adolescents' school adjustment and internalizing behavior problems were higher in the maladjusted family type and middle-adjusted family than in the adjusted family.

  • This study focused on appreciative inquiry(AI) of salespeople who have to respond to various types of emotions according to the desires of individual customers at service contact points and the effect of emotional labor on adaptive selling behavior and customer satisfaction. Dyadic questionnaires were administerd to 115 automobile salespeople and 2 customers who received service from each salesperson, and the collected data was analyzed by using structural equation modeling. The results showed that AI had positive influences on deep acting and surface acting. Only deep acting was found to have positive relationship with adaptive selling behavior, but not to surface acting. Adaptive selling behavior had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. This study will contribute to identifying the need for AI access for salespersons and for activating adaptive selling behavior through emotional labor related to AI practice.

The survey of 587 students was conducted between December 17-24, 2012 in Gwangju. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 for window program: frequency, means, factor analysis, cluster analysis, Chronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, and ANOVA. There were significant differences in the many adolescents's adapted to school life based on the clothing behavior conformity and the attitude toward the name-brand. The results showed that, if it is not extreme, adolescents had the more the clothing behavior conformity on peer & mass media than less, they did well adapt on school life. • Although people have had more opportunities to enjoy various types of game, most of players have felt less satisfaction with the games. This is the reason that since most Non-player Characters (NPCs) are simple and uniform, they have some limitations for competing with a variety of players. Thus, technologies for creating intelligent NPCs that can compete with each player at a similar level are required. In this paper, we present an action information management method for creating adaptive NPCs based on the algorithm for calculating their action efficiency. This algorithm is useful to the adaptation method for saving and controlling player-appropriate action. In our method, adaptive NPCs observe the actions of players and collect the relationship data between status and action. The efficiency value of the action data is calculated and data of similar status are grouped, and finally stored at the action database. The game system of NPC updates the action database and stores diverse actions. Then, NPC selects action with high efficiency value. We have tested our algorithm on an action game. A random test subject performed a one-on-one game against an adaptive NPC in real-time. As a result, the action dispositions of both the subject and NPC are analyzed in a log file to determine whether or not the disposition of the subject is similar to that of the NPC. The statistics of the diverse test results shows that NPCs become adaptive to players with error rate within less than 6%.
