  • The study identifies the major themes for integration education program which enhances the relationship between the north Korean refugees and their south Korean hosts. The themes were selected based on qualitative analysis of the socio-cultural conflicts experienced by the refugees and the hosts in the acculturation process. Twenty-eight north Korean refugees over age 20 participated in semi-structured interviews, and two south Korean groups in close contact with the refugees, police and volunteer teachers, were interviewed in focus groups. The interviews were recorded and transcribed for categorization and coding. The study views the acculturation issue as the two-sided integration task for both the north Korean refugees and the south Korean hosts rather than as the one-sided acceptance and assimilation task for the refugees.

  • In this study, I collected materials through the survey whose object is 573 students of technical high schools and 512 students of academic high schools in Seoul and Kyunggi areas, for examining dangerous factors and protective factors which influence on school resilience in technical high schools. The studying results are as followed. First, as the result of analyzing correlation between school resilience and dangerous factor, the higher dangerous factor was, the lower school resilience was. Second, as the result verifying the effects of dangerous factor on school resilience, discrimination of teacher, delinquency bond and anti-sociality made an effect on students in technical high schools and discrimination of teacher, delinquency bond and depression made an effect on students in academic high schools. Third, as the result analyzing correlation between school resilience and protective factor, the higher protective factor was, the higher school resilience was. Forth, as the result verifying the effects of protective factor on school resilience, support of teacher, democratic atmosphere of school, sense of responsibility, family cohesion, self-worth, rational supporting attitude made an effort on students in technical high schools and support of teacher, democratic atmosphere of school, sense of responsibility and family cohesion made an effect on students in academic high schools. Fifth, as the result analyzing the difference between dangerous factor and protective factor according to grade of school and standard of school resilience, there was an interaction in variables of anti-sociality, depression, delinquency bond and self-worth.

  • This study aimed to demonstrate 'moderated mediation' effect of self-control on the relationship of neuroticism-smart phone addiction-school adaptation. For this purpose, we carried out a survey targeting middle school students who were vulnerable to smart phone addiction, and 1,400 middle school students responded to questionnaire. The results showed that the moderated mediation effect of self-control was statistically significant. In detail, school satisfaction and school performance, the sub-factors of school adaptation, showed significant results but social relation non-significant. Concerning moderating effect of self-control, results supported significantly moderating effect, demonstrating that high level of self-control showed consistently lower level of smart phone addiction than low level of self-control regardless of level of neuroticism. We can find the meanings of this study in having demonstrated, on the one hand, the causal process of smart phone addiction, and on the other, moderating effect and moderated mediation effect on this causal process through interaction between neuroticism and self-control. Finally, limitations and suggestions for future research were discussed.

  • In this paper we consider the multi-robot system that collects target objects spread in an unexplored environment. The robots cooperate each other to improve the capability and the efficiency. The robots attract or intimidate each other as behaviors of bacterial swarms or particles with electrical moments. The interactions would increase the working efficiency in some environments but it would decrease the efficiency in some other environments. Therefore, the system needs to adapt to the working environment by adjusting the strengths of the interactions. The strengths of the interactions are expressed as sets of gene codes that mean the weights of each kind of attracting or intimidating vectors. The proposed system adjusts the gene codes using evolutional strategy. The proposed approach has been validated by computer simulation. The results of this paper show that our inter-swarm interacting strategy and optimizing algorithm improves the working efficiency, adaptively to the characteristics of environments.

  • This paper aims to provide a context-specific interpretation on the shifting process of in-house R&D spaces in a large Korean firm in the context of rapidly changing markets and technology. Drawing on the case study of LG Electronics Company, one of the Korea's flagship companies, I examine the causes and mechanisms leading to a shift in domestic R&D spaces and the nature of learning processes between R&D teams and between R&D and other organizational units, particularly manufacturing. It appears that the current reshaping processes of domestic R&D spaces in LGE focus more on the clustering of core R&D laboratories than the geographical integration of conception and execution. However, it should not simply be viewed that such a move would be reduced to the linear model of innovation and organizational learning. Instead, it involves the firm-specific mode of regulating organizational competences. As contextual variables to induce such a firm-specific mode of organizational change, I consider the spatial form of organization, the spatial sources of knowledge and learning, and the powers of relational learning that can be made between distanciated actors and teams.

  • Positively biased asymmetry between positive and negative cognition is the basic assumption of heuristic human functioning. This article describes the SOM(states of mind) model for emotional judgement, a psycho-mathematical model built on affective-cognitive assessment research on the balance of positive and negative thoughts and feelings. The SOM model suggests that subjects on the average choose a positive over a negative pole with the probability 0.62 and the precise value of this constant coincides with algebraic “golden section” .618:.382. Statistical analyses of 32 normal subjects shows that the mean of SOM ratios of self-referent judgement and incidental recall task for positive/negative emotional words are .62(SD=.08) and .58(SD=.4). Also, the SOM ratios are significantly correlated with self-referent judgement for positive/negative emotional words. Implications of cognitive balance and future research directions for emotional science are discussed.

  • In this paper, we propose the active model based on the distributed object group framework which provides adaptive information sharing service to support it to various Healthcare home service. And we applied it to Healthcare home service. This proposed model provides information that collected from physical environment of the home network and sensors for healthcare service according to situation of the user. We uses information of the healthcare information database which was constructed previously, and we uses TMO scheme for to solve each other different periodic qualify. We uses information of the healthcare information database which was constructed previously, and we uses TMO scheme for to solve each other different periodic quality. Specialty, We wrote about interaction of various Healthcare Home services for adaptive information services, and wrote about u-healthcare framework based on DOGF. Finally, we apply active model to healthcare monitoring service, and we showed its result and performance evaluation.
