The need for customized website design has been increased these days. There are two approaches for customizing website design. A Static/Selective approach is easily applied to website design, but is hard to provide a more refined customized service due to its lack of accumulation of customer data. In the Transparent/Adaptive approach, it is easy to apply an intrinsic value of customer, but without sufficient customer data, inappropriate customization is liable to occur. In this paper, directions such as "control of customer participation level", "collection of contextual information" and "development of filtering methods for design elements are suggested for the integrated use of these approaches. use of these approaches.

Purpose: This study analyzed the factors related to adaptation of people who wears progressive lenses glasses for the first time. Methods: 463 presbyopia (Aged 41~78) without any ocular diseases with the progressive lens glasses were prescribed from 2010 to 2011 at B clinic in the Gwangju city. Progressive lenses adaptation were analyzed according to gender, age, distance refractive state, presbyopic addition, progressive lens design, the old glasses, astigmatism type, and anisometropia etc. High, mid and low-adapted groups were categorized as the status of wearing progressive lenses glasses, re-wearing, occasionally wearing and failed to weraing, respectively. Results: Men showed significantly higher adaptation (p=0.02) than women. Presbyopic addition (p=0.05) and progressive lens design (p=0.02) were statistically significant. However, it was found that there was so statistical significance for the factors of age, distance refractive state, the old glasses, astigmatism type, and anisometropia. Conclusions: According to the results of this study, when progressive lenses were prescribed, we should consider for adaptation gender, presbyopic addition, and progressive lens design etc.

현재 DSP는 음성 및 오디오 신호처리 시스템, 디지털 통신 시스템, 제어 시스템, 영상처리 시스템 등 많은 영역에 걸쳐 성공적으로 사용되고 있다. 몇가지 대표적인 활용분야를 살펴보면, 음성신호 압축 분야 [1-4], MPEG (moving picture expert group)과 같은 오디오신호 압축분야[5,6], 그리고 디지털 통신 시스템에서의 적응 반향제거기, 적응 동화기, 채널간섭 제거, 변복조기, 채널 코딩, 암호화기[7-14] 등에서도 DSP가 사용되고 있다. 그리고 수중 음향 신호처리[15], 디지털 필터 디자인, 전력 스펙트럼 추정, 수중 음향 신호처리 같은 디지털 신호처리 분야[16-23]와 적응 신호처리[24-26], 이외에도 능동 소음 제어기 및 적응 제어기와 같은 제어 시스템 [27]에도 유용하게 이용되고 있다. 또한 영상 압축, 디지털 방송, 의료기기 등과 같은 영상처리 분야[28-32] 및 그 밖의 많은 분야에서 DSP의 활용은 점점 커져가고 있는 추세이다.

This study examines and compares various recommendation techniques which have been used successfully in other fields and seeks for opportunity to improve design personalization service more effectively. Throughout the literature study, several major recommendation techniques were identified, namely 'contents-based filtering', 'collaborative filtering', and 'demographic filtering'. In order for finding out relative advantages and disadvantages, a case study was carried out by applying different techniques. The result showed that in general, demographic filtering was evaluated least efficient among the techniques. Content-based filtering showed the best efficiency among them. Another significant finding was that the collaborative filtering had a better efficiency as the number of test subjects is increased. In conclusion, we suggest that design recommendation services can be improved by applying contents-based or collaborative filtering for better efficiency of recommendation. And, if the number of test subjects is large enough, it may be possible to remarkably improve the efficiency of design recommendation services by using collaborative filtering.

To provide efficient video streaming service over a wireless networks, the rate adaptation scheme should be applied at the low layer and the quality adaptation scheme should be considered at the high layer. In this paper, we propose a new cross-layer design which includes rate adaptation scheme at the MAC/PHY layers and quality control at the application layer. Proposed rate adaptation scheme improves the wireless channel utilization by transmitting the consecutive frames and selects optimal transmission mode by calculating the goodputs for each transmission mode. Based on selected transmission mode, the rate adaptation scheme calculates the rate limits and informs that to the application layer. Then the video streaming application utilizes this rate limits to adjust the quality of the video stream. Through performance evaluations, we prove that our cross-layer design improves the quality of the wireless video streaming service by means of the proposed rate adaptation scheme.

최근 우리나라는 고령화시대로 접어들면서 노인들의 사회적 적응 향상을 위한 노력이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 노인들의 수단적 일상생활활동, 특히 금융활동을 원활하게 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 노인에게 적합한 ATM 인터페이스를 새롭게 디자인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 은행에서 제공되는 실제 ATM 화면과 동일한 디자인 구성과 기능을 하는 태블릿 PC 기반 콘텐츠를 개발하고, 이를 통해 노인들을 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 노인에게 적합한 ATM UI를 제시하고자 한다.

As the development of urbanization has cause some environmental problems and natural disasters such as natural earthquakes and floods have brought about impact, designers have turned their attention to the independent prevention ability of urban ecosystems in face of environmental pollution and natural disasters, as well as its ability to adapt to the future. This study introduces 'elasticity theory' to discuss the practical application of elasticity design in landscapes and to solve the problem of lack of elasticity in space, which can provide more scientific reference meaning to create economic, cultural, and social values for space. After selecting 'The High Line' as the object, this paper investigates the previous theories and practical cases, and infers ecology, sustainability, diversity, and adaptability. And then this paper applies five components and analyzes the specific application of these five components of the landscape spatial elasticity strategy, and summarizes the application characteristics and influencing factors of elasticity design in 'The High Line' landscape planning. It can be known from the research that elasticity strategy which is reflected in the design process is the systematic management of landscape space. Elasticity design itself can strengthen environment quality and satisfy the requirements of the environment to defense external shocks so as to adapt to environment changes. Therefore, the elasticity design can strengthen the sustainable development of the city and establish a periodic recycle system.

Various streaming technologies are being studied to guarantee the QoE of viewers due to the development of realistic media. HTTP adaptive streaming is a typical example, and it is based on HTTP / 1.1 and TCP. These protocols have become one of the causes of delaying the image delay and increasing the waiting time of web pages. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a QUIC-DASH system applying the UDP-based transmission protocols QUIC and HTTP / 2 to the MPEG-DASH system after analyzing various transmission protocols and development process of HTTP. Through experiments, the QUIC-DASH system confirmed the possibility of providing optimal performance in terms of transmission speed of LTE environment than existing system. We also suggest various future studies for better performance.

The aim of this study was to investigate how the psychological factors of human interrelation or human socialization are associated with the visual design based on sociological and psychological theories. To accomplish this goal, human socialization was examined on the basis of physiology, philosophy, and psychology. Then a case study was employed to assess how they function in the area of visual design. In literature, the sources of psychological factors of human socialization were categorized into 11 items including the sexual hedonic pursuit. These items were used for the evaluation of 40 printed media advertisements, all of which were the winners of the Korea Advertising Awards from 1994 to 2003. As a result, it was revealed that most advertisements responded to the items of adaptive value and cultural imprinting as biological bases. Also, it was discovered that the existential foundation of advertising has been based on mutual distrust and the payoff matrix as a mind of social unrest. In conclusions, it was illustrated that future advertising will remain based on adaptive value, cultural imprinting, social learning, and imitation learning, as long as advertising continue to hold its reason for existence.

최근 비즈니스 프로세스 통합에 관련된 다양한 연구를 통해, 수많은 비즈니스 프로세스 언어 및 표기법들이 개발되고 있다. 표준화되지 않은 다양한 비즈니스 프로세스 언어들은 비즈니스 프로세스를 자동화하려는 기업들뿐만 아니라, 비즈니스에 참여하는 일반 사용자에게도 혼동을 가져온다. 본 논문은 다양하고 표준화되지 않은 비즈니스 프로세스 언어들을 모두 디자인할 수 있기 위한 적응적인 모델을 제안한다. Jena와 JGraph와 같은 기존 모델의 장점들을 조합하고 단점을 보완하여 개발되었다. 본 논문에서 제안한 모델은 파이프-필터 아키텍쳐를 이용해 비즈니스 프로세스의 데이터를 단계적으로 추출한다. 그리고 추출된 데이터는 다양한 환경에 적응하기 위해, 해쉬 또는 링크드 리스트의 자료 구조에 저장되어 관리된다. 마지막으로, 저장된 데이터들은 사용자의 요구에 따라 실행언어로 변환되거나 다시 GUI에 보여 진다.
