Accuracy Improvement Methode of Step Count Detection Using Variable Amplitude Threshold (가변 진폭 임계값을 이용한 걸음수 검출 정확도 향상 기법)

  • In this study, we have designed the variable amplitude threshold algorithm that can enhance the accuracy of step count using variable amplitude. This algorithm converts the x, y, z sensor values into a single energy value($E_t$) by using SVM(Signal Vector Magnitude) algorithm and can pick step count out over 99% of accuracy through the peak data detection algorithm and fixed peak threshold. To prove the results, We made the noise filtering with the fixed amplitude threshold from the amplitude of energy value that found out the detection error was increasing, and it's the key idea of the variable amplitude threshold that can be adapted on the continuous data evaluation. The experiment results shows that the variable amplitude threshold algorithm can improve the average step count accuracy up to 98.9% at 10 Hz sampling rate and 99.6% at 20Hz sampling rate.

  • The multimedia system using computing environment should support the fast access speed on the large scaled high quality data in the functional side. And it can support interaction and adaptiveness on system users. But it is hard to support it all effectively in the existing multimedia systems. In this paper, we design the multi-tier hybrid multimedia system. The proposed system is based on the characteristics of a multimedia medium, and it has the merits of the CD-ROM based method and the web based method. On the experiments, we verified the efficiency of the proposed system.

Real-time Implementation of AMR-WB Speech Codec Using TeakLite DSP (TeakLite DSP를 이용한 적응형 다중 비트율 광대역 (AMR-WB) 음성부호화기의 실시간 구현)

  • AMR-WB (Adaptive Multi Rate Wideband) speech codec, the most recent voice codec standardized by 3GPP, has the wider audio bandwidth of 50∼7000 Hz and operates on nine speech coding bit rates between 6.60 and 23.85 kbit/s. This Paper presents the real-time implementation of AMR-WB speech codec by using a 16 bit fixed-point TeakLite DSP. The implemented AMR-WB codec requires the complexity of 52.2 MIPS at 23.85 kbit/s mode and also needs the program memory of 17.9 kwords, data RAM of 11.8 kwords, and data ROM of 10.1kwords. It was verified through passing the all test vectors provided by 3GPP with maintaining bit exactness. Stable operations on the real-time testing board were also proved without any distortions and delays for the audio in/out.

Lightweight Deep Learning Model for Real-Time 3D Object Detection in Point Clouds (실시간 3차원 객체 검출을 위한 포인트 클라우드 기반 딥러닝 모델 경량화)

  • 3D object detection generally aims to detect relatively large data such as automobiles, buses, persons, furniture, etc, so it is vulnerable to small object detection. In addition, in an environment with limited resources such as embedded devices, it is difficult to apply the model because of the huge amount of computation. In this paper, the accuracy of small object detection was improved by focusing on local features using only one layer, and the inference speed was improved through the proposed knowledge distillation method from large pre-trained network to small network and adaptive quantization method according to the parameter size. The proposed model was evaluated using SUN RGB-D Val and self-made apple tree data set. Finally, it achieved the accuracy performance of 62.04% at mAP@0.25 and 47.1% at mAP@0.5, and the inference speed was 120.5 scenes per sec, showing a fast real-time processing speed.

  • With the rapid advance of computer and communication technology, the amount of data transferred is also increasing more than ever. The recent trend of education systems is connecting related information semantically in different systems in order to improve the utilization of computerized information Therefore, Web-based teaching-learning is developing in the ubiquitous learning direction that learners select and organize the contents, time and order of learning by themselves. That is, it is evolving to provide teaching-learning environment adaptive to individual learners' characteristics (their level of knowledge, pattern of study, areas of interest). This paper proposes the efficient evaluation method of learning contents in a mediator for the integration of heterogeneous information resources. This means that the autonomy of a remote server can be preserved to the highest degree. In addition, this paper proposes the adaptive optimization of learning contents such that available storage in a mediator can be highly utilized at any time. In order to differentiate the recent usage of a learning content from the past, the accumulated usage frequency of a learning content decays as time goes by.

  • This paper proposes the system to manage profiles effectively that are necessary for content adaptation services. The proposed profiles for providing content adaptation services are used in the various services. However, currently, there are lack of the interoperability in profiles due to the different configuration, which is affected by different services. The service providers also spend a lot of operating costs by operating profiles respectively. To solve theses problems, the system which can integrate and manage the various kinds of the profiles is necessary. Based on profile services architecture and the previous profile research to the necessary functions for the proposed integrated management system of profile are derived. The proposed integrated management system of profile supports also the functions such as receiving, processing, saying, managing, providing and supports profiles that are made of RDF form and comply with the CC/PP specification. The metadata constitution technique and dynamic technique for effective content adaptation also are applied. As a result of performance evaluation the proposed techniques improve the performance 4% compared with the previous techniques.

Design of Network-adaptive Transmission Architecture for Guaranteeing the Quality of Virtualization Service (가상화 서비스의 QoS 보장을 위한 네트워크 적응적인 전송 구조 설계)

  • Virtualization service processes all operation including the data creation, storing, and disposal in a server and transmits processed data as the streaming media form. Therefore, client can use the same environment as the traditional desktop environment without considering the type of device. Virtualization service should consider not only the video quality but also the delay bounds and continuity of video playback for improving the user perceived Quality of Service(QoS) of streaming service. In this paper, we propose a network-adaptive transmission architecture that focuses on guaranteeing QoS requirements for virtualization service. In order to provide those, the proposed architecture have the transmission rate adaptation function based on available bandwidth and the content bit-rate control function based on sender buffer state. Through each function, proposed architecture guarantee the delay bounds and continuity of virtualization contents playback. The simulation results show that proposed network-adaptive transmission architecture provides a improve performance of throughput and transmission delay.

Improved Method to Select Targets in Phase Gradient Autofocus on Real Time Processing (실시간 처리를 위한 PGA 표적 선택기법 개선)

  • Motion errors which are caused by several reasons, non-ideal path, errors of navigation systems, and radar system errors, have to be corrected. Motion compensation methods can compensate the motion error, but not exactly. To correct these residual errors, several autofocus methods are invented. A popular method is phase gradient autofocus (PGA). PGA does not assume specific circumstances, such as isolated point targets and shapes of errors. PGA is an iterative and adaptive method, so that the processing time is the main problem for the real time processing. In this paper, the improved method to select targets for PGA is proposed to reduce processing time. The variances of image pixels are used to select targets with high SNR. The processing of PGA with these targets diminishes the processing time and iterations effectively. The processed results with real radar data, obtained by flight tests, show that the proposed method compensates errors well, and reduce working time.

  • 컴포넌트를 기반으로 하는 소프트웨어 개발 방법론은 시스템의 규모가 크고 구성이 복잡한 지리정보 시스템에 효율적으로 적응될 수 있다. 이것은 특히 개방형 GIS를 위한 설계와 구현 방법에도 이용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 복합 피쳐를 지원하는 3차원 지리정보시스템의 컴포넌트 기반 설계 사례에 대해 설명한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 OpenGIS 규격과의 호환성을 고려하고 복합 피쳐 및 복합 지리요소를 지원하며 객체 지향 분석 설계 방법론을 이용하여 설계되었다. 본 시스템은 3차원 지리요소의 모델링, 가시화, 공간분석 기능과 4차원 공간 데이터에 대한 질의 기능을 포함하고 있다. 향 후 복잡한 도심 건물 지역을 대상으로 층별 시공간 관리 분석 시스템 등으로 응용될 전망이다.

Zero-shot Text Classification based on Reinforced Learning (강화학습 기반의 제로샷 텍스트 분류)

  • 전통적인 텍스트 분류 방법은 상당량의 라벨링된 데이터와 미리 정의된 클래스가 필요해서 그 적용성과 확장성이 제한된다. 그래서 이런 한계를 극복하기 위해 제로샷 러닝(Zero-shot Learning)이 등장했다. 텍스트 분류 분야에서 제로샷 텍스트 분류는 모델이 대상 클래스의 샘플을 미리 접하지 않고도 인스턴스를 분류할 수 있도록 하는 중요한 주제이다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 정책 네트워크를 활용한 심층 강화 학습(DRL) 기반 접근법을 제안한다. 이러한 방법을 통해 모델이 새로운 의미 공간에 효과적으로 적응하면서, 다른 모델들과 비교하여 제로샷 텍스트 분류의 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있었다. XLM-R 과 비교하면 최대 15.9%의 정확도 향상이 나타났다.
