The Effect of Sensory Integrative Intervention Focused on Proprioceptive-Vestibular Stimuli on Adaptive Response of Children With Sensory Defensiveness: Case Study (고유-전정감각 중심의 감각통합 중재가 감각방어 아동의 적응반응에 미치는 효과: 사례보고)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of sensory integrative intervention focused on proprioceptive-vestibular stimuli on adaptive response of children with sensory defensiveness. Methods : Subject of this study was a 6 years and 5 month old boy. The subject underwent a sensory integration (SI) treatment which was part of the SI treatment course administered by the Korean Sensory Integration Society, in 2011. The treatment goal and treatment plan had established based on the evaluation results. Treatment was done with 4 sessions and the adaptive responses of the subject were measured as outcome of the SI treatment. Results : During the SI treatment, the subject could participate in activities involving tactile stimulation without over-arousal. He also showed improved social interaction skills and his play was qualitatively extended. Conclusion : According to the results of this study, it was verified that sensory integrative intervention focused on proprioceptive-vestibular stimuli has positive effective on adaptive response for children with sensory defensiveness. For the future study, it is suggested to use standardized assessments in evaluation and provide information in changes of daily occupation as outcome data.

  • Introduction : This study presents a case report of a child with sensory integration dysfunction(mixed sensory modulation disorder and dyspraxia), and describes strategy of the sensory integration intervention to encourage child's inner drive and the change of adaptive response. Main Subject : The subject was a boy, age 5 years and 10 months, who participated in short-term intensive sensory integration therapy program which was provided in a 2008 sensory integration treatment course. Based on results of assessment to the child, This study identifies the treatment goals, contents of treatment and analyze adaptive response' change of four therapy sessions. Conclusion : This case report demonstrates improvement of the adaptive response by sensory integration intervention and impotent to encourage the child's inner drive. However, subjective date, which is sensory integration may produce an effect that is evident during treatment sessions and in home environment have suggested.

Individual Variation of Radiation Adaptive Responses in Patients Undergoing Imaging Studies Using $^{99m}Tc$ Labeled Radiopharmaceuticals ($^{99m}Tc$ 표지 방사성의약품을 이용한 핵의학 영상검사를 받은 환자에서 방사선 적응반응의 개인간 차이에 대한 연구)

  • It was reported that radiopharamaceuticals induced radiation adaptive response (RAR) in patients undergoing nuclear medicine imaging studies. Individual variations of RAR were not studied well. The purpose of this study was to evaluate individual variation of RAR in patients undergoing nuclear medicine imaging studies. Peripheral lymphocytes were collected from 23 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-diethylenetriamine$ pentaacetic acid $(^{99m}Tc-DTPA)$ renal scintigraphy, 18 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-methylene$ diphosphonate $(^{99m}Tc-MDP)$ bone scintigraphy and 21 patients undergoing $^{99m}Tc-tetrofosmin\;(^{99m}Tc-TF)$ scintigraphy were collected before and 4 hours after injection of radiopharmaceuticals. The lymphocytes were exposed to challenge dose of 2 Gy gamma rays using a cell irradiator. Numbers of ring-form (R) and dicentric (D) chromosomes were counted under the light microscope. and used to calculate the frequency of chromosomal aberration [Ydr=(D+R)/total number of counted lymphocytes]. Adaptation index (k) was defined 3s ratio of Ydr in conditioned lymphocytes over Ydr in unconditioned lymphocytes. Coefficients of variance of k in $^{99m}Tc-DTPA,\;^{99m}Tc-MDP\;and\;^{99m}Tc-TF$ were 35%, 34% and 21%, respectively k was not dependent upon age, sex, and underlying diseases. There was a wide variation of RAR induced by radiopharmaceuticals among patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures. It remains to be determined for causes of such variation.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the radiation adaptive response (RAR) in peripheral lymphocytes (PL) of patients induced by Tc-99m MDP and Tc-99m DTPA scintigraphies. Materials and Methods: Lymphocytes from 45 patients (25 males, 20 females, mean age $44{\pm}18$ years) were collected before and after scintigraphies using 740 MBq Tc-99m MDP (n=22) or Tc-99m DTPA (n=23). Lymphocytes from 20 controls (12 males, 8 females, mean age $43{\pm}7$ years) were also collected. They were exposed to challenge dose of 2 Gy ${\gamma}-rays$ using a Cs-137 cell irradiator Number of ring-form (R) and dicentric (D) chromosomes was counted under the light microscope. From them a representative score, Ydr, was calculated as Ydr=(D+R)/cells. Adaptation index (AI) was defined as difference of Ydr between unconditioned and conditioned lymphocytes. Ydr was also measured after an administration of cycloheximide (CHM), a protein synthesis inhibitor, before challenge dose. Results: RAR was induced in both groups of patients. CHM abolished the adaptive response in both groups. AI of Tc-99m MDP group was significantly higher than that of Tc-99m BTPA group. Conclusion: Tc-99m MDP induced RAR was more prominent than those induced by Tc-99m DTPA.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a teacher's encouragement response and to prove its effect. In order to do so, this study includes three sub-studies. First study is to identify the categories of teacher's encouraging verbal response. second study is to examine whether a teacher's encouraging verbal response can be developed, and third study is to identify how a teacher's encouragement has an effect on school adjustment of elementary children. The results of the study are followings: First, listening, asking, supporting, accepting, and describing are established as teacher's encouraging verbal responses. Second, a teacher can develope his encouraging response through self-discipline. Third, teacher's encouragement is effective on the enhancing of children's school adjustment.

  • 디바이스 사용 환경이 다양해지면서 이를 고려한 반응형 UI/UX 개념이 대두되고 있다. 이를 위해 기존 데스크탑 기반의 UI에 국한되지 않고 다양한 모바일 디바이스 환경 및 사용자 특성을 고려한 적응적인 UI/UX를 제공해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-21을 기반으로 반응형 웹 UI/UX를 제공하는 새로운 프레임워크를 제안한다. 기존 반응형 웹 디자인은 주로 조합한 여러 단위 기술을 이용하여 해상도의 변화에 반응하여 엘리먼트를 적응 시키는 방법을 사용한다. 제안하는 기술은 단일 프레임워크를 이용하여 컨텐츠 및 리소스를 보다 다양한 환경 정보를 사용하여 적응시킨다. 이는 기존 방법과 비교하여 서비스 제공자가 많은 종류의 리소스 및 데이터를 서비스 함에 있어 3rd 파티 컨텐츠 프로바이더의 참여 및 수정이 용이하도록 하였으며 자동으로 사용자 환경을 파악하여 맞춤형 컨텐츠 제공이 가능하도록 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 SCORM을 기반으로 한 e-Learning 시스템에서 학습자의 학습 활동을 트래킹하여 학습자의 수준을 적응적으로 판단하는 기법을 제시하였다. 제시된 기법에서는 모집단의 크기가 작을 경우 교수자가 지정한 난이도를 이용하여 학습자의 수준을 판단하고, 모집단의 크기가 충분히 클 경우에는 문항반응이론을 적응한 난이도에 의해 학습자의 수준을 판단하였다. 문항반옹이론을 적용할 시점에서 교수자가 지정한 난이도가 문항반응이론에서 추정한 난이도와 차이가 날 경우, 교수자가 지정한 난이도를 문항반응이론의 난이도로 수정하는 적응적인 기법을 제시하였다. SCORM의 트래킹 기능을 이용하여 실험한 결과 문제를 푼 학습자의 수가 적을 경우에는 학습자 수의 변화에 따라 학습자의 수준이 계속 바뀌는 문제점이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 모집단의 크기가 작을 경우, 본 논문에서 제안한 방법에 의해 교수자가 지정한 문항의 난이도를 이용하여 학습자의 수준을 판단하는 것이 효과적이었다.

Photosynthetic Responses of four Oak Species to Changes in Light Environment (광환경 변화에 대한 네 참나무 수종의 광합성 반응)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the photosynthetic responses of four Oak species (Quercus mongolica, Q. serrata, Q. acutissima and Q. variabilis) by shading treatment. We investigated light response curve, photosynthesis (A)-intercellular $CO_2$ concentration (Ci) curve, leaf growth and chlorophyll content at the level of 35, 55 and 75% shading treatments and under the full sunlight. In our results, Q. variabilis and Q. acutissima showed increased leaf growth, chlorophyll content and net apparent quantum yield but reduced chlorophyll a/b and carboxylation efficiency under the low light intensity. Therefore, light absorption and light utilization efficiency were improved under the low light intensity. Q. mongolica showed the similar responses that Q. variabilis and Q. acutissima showed, but net apparent quantum yield was reduced. The effects of shading treatment on Q. serrata were lower than those of other three species.

Research on individualizing emotion recognition by autonomic nervous response using adaptive TDP(Time Dependent Parameters) (자율신경계 반응의 적응적 TDP(Time Dependent Parameters) 추출을 통한 감성 인식 개인화에 대한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 생리신호를 이용한 감성인식의 정확도를 높이기 위한 개인화 방안에 대해 연구하였다. 이전연구 결과인 TDP(Time Dependent Parameters)를 이용한 감성인식방법은 자율신경계 반응을 4 단계로 세분화하여 감성인식의 정확도를 높일 수 있었다. 하지만 평균 정확도는 향상된 반면 개인별로 정확도의 개인차가 발생하였다. 본 연구는 개인차를 줄이기 위해서, 개인의 반응에 따라 감성인식을 위한 룰베이스가 변화하는 적응적 TDP 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 시각자극을 이용한 감성유발 실험결과를 분석하여 감성인식 개인차가 감소하였는지 확인하였다. 실험은 4 명을 대상으로 하였으며 한 명당 24번의 시각 자극을 제시하여 96개의 데이터가 수집되었다. 데이터는 자율신경계 반응과 주관적 감성을 측정하였나 TDP 를 이용한 분석과 적응적 TDP 분석방법으로 감성을 인식한 결과를 비교한 결과 평균 정확도는 증가하지 않았지만 전반적인 정확도 수준은 상승하는 것을 확인하였다. 그러므로 적응적 TDP를 이용할 경우 개인차를 줄일 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.
