Purpose : This study was conducted to examine the Experience of Adaption to Work in Comprehensive Nursing Service Units of Nurses. Methods : Empirical data were collected from 8 nurses through in-depth interviews. Eight participants who had more than 6 months of clinical experience in the general ward and had more than 6 months of work experience in Comprehensive Nursing Service Units were selected as participants. The main question was what does it mean to work in Comprehensive Nursing Service Units? All interviews were recorded and transcribed, and then analyzed using Giorgi's interview. Results: As a result of the analysis, five topics were derived. 'Facing a changed work environment', 'A sense of unexpected heterogeneity in work', 'Evaluation of immediate reality.', 'Finding strategies and promoting balance', 'Growing up as a professional nurse.' Conclusion: Based on these findings, There is a need to build a system that can adapt to work and continue to develop programs for capacity building in Comprehensive Nursing Service Units of Nurses.

The study was to understand the meaning and nature of clinical practice by examining the clinical experience of male nursing college students who have experienced clinical practice and to obtain basic data on how male nurses influence the career setting in clinical practice. to be. Participants in this study were male students who are currently in the Department of Nursing at H University, and three snowmen were selected as 3rd grade students and 3rd grade male students who had clinical practice, and analyzed meaningful statements according to Colaizzi data analysis To understand the meaning of students' clinical experience. The findings were divided into three categories, with six themes and 14 meaningful statements. The male nursing students experienced discrimination on the grounds of 'negative nursing image experienced in ward practice', 'the burden of self to be handled', and 'the charm of nursing found in the special part training experience'. Conflict and confusion over the profession were causing. However, among them, the professionalism of the nurses was confirmed and the pleasure of learning was found, and the results of this study can provide a holistic view of the clinical practice experience of male nursing students. In addition, it can be used as a basic data useful for counseling and guidance on academic adaptation and clinical practice adaptation of male nursing college students, and is expected to be useful for counseling career decision after graduation of male nursing students.

This was a qualitative study to explore and better understand the adaptation experience and processes of peoples with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS), as well as to develop a substantive theory using the grounded theory method. There were 13 patients (12 females and 1 male) who received FMS treatment from Rheumatic Medicine outpatient department of one general hospital. The data were collected through an in-depth interview between January and May of 2014. Transcribed interview contents were analyzed by the grounded theory method of Corbin and Strauss (2008). As a result, a total of 98 concepts, 26 sub-categories, and 10 categories were identified through the open coding process. The process of adaptation experience showed 4 steps: perception of uncertainty and limited condition, evaluation of self-control possibility and determinations of expectations of life, searching and trying of strategies, as well as self-regulation. The 4 types of adaptation experience were expansionary, complacently, effusively and withering. The 'protective self-regulation' theory was derived from the core category of 'learning to self-regulation method'. Patients with FMS has repeatedly attempted these strategies of protective self-regulation in order to gain stability from uncertainty and limited condition of the disease. Based on these results, it is necessary to develop an educational program for patients and families which has appropriate nursing intervention strategies in accordance with the types of adaptation.

This study seeks to critically examine the significance and limits of the cluster adaptive cycle model for analysis of cluster evolution and to propose research issues for future analysis of cluster evolution based on this critical examination. Until the 1980s, research on industrial complexes including clusters was based on a 'static perspective' that focuses on the aspect of economic space at a specific point in time, but the research paradigm has recently shifted to a 'dynamic perspective' focusing on 'evolution' of 'complex adaptive systems'. As a result, the adaptive cycle model has attracted attention as an analysis tool of dynamically evolving clusters. However, the cluster adaptive cycle model has emerged by being appropriately modified and expanded according to the properties of the cluster and its evolution. The cluster adaptive cycle model is a comprehensive analysis framework that identifies the characteristics of cluster evolution in terms of resource accumulation, interdependence, and resilience and classifies cluster evolution paths into six different categories. Nevertheless, there is still a need for further discussion and supplementation in terms of theoretical and empirical research to expand and deepen the model. Therefore, research issues for future analysis of cluster evolution are to specify and elaborate the cluster evolution model, to emphasize the concept of resilience, and to verify the applicability and usefulness of the model through empirical research.
The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of family social capital and community social capital on how successfully children adapt to school. Utilizing the second year data from the 1st year of middle school panel found in the 2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical linear model analysis were conducted successively on 2,056 second-year middle school students living in 93 communities. The data produced was used to determine what degree of influence family social capital and community social capital exert on the ability of children to successfully adapt to school. First, 6.1% of the variables relating to school adaptation were explained by differences among communities, and the remaining 93.3% were explained by differences among individuals. Second, the examination of the effects of family social capital showed that students who experienced lower rates of neglect also experienced less abuse, had parents who were more interested in and better informed about their lives, and better adapted to school. Third, the examination of the effects of community social capital showed that the higher the community spirit the communities had, the better the young students in the communities adapted to school. Fourth, when the effects of family social capital and community social capital were examined in conjunction with each other, it was found that the less neglect the students experienced, the less abuse the students experienced, the greater the interest their parents had in their close friends, the better they themselves adapted to school. In relation to community social capital, the level of community spirit was still found to exert positive effects on the ability of young students to successfully adapt to school.

This study tried to investigate the effects of the adaptation of middle-aged and elderly adult learners to college life on happiness. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey and analysis were conducted on 321 middle-aged and older adults studying at two-year and four-year colleges in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province, and the results are as follows. First, college life adaptation according to the general characteristics of middle-aged and elderly learners are higher for those in their 50s and 2nd grade in good health condition. Happiness was the highest women, 60s and those in the form of households where only couples live. Second, there is a static correlation between the adaptation of middle-aged and elderly adult learners to college life and happiness, and the correlation between satisfaction with internal growth and satisfaction with meaning was the highest. Third, it was found that middle-aged and elderly adults' adaptation to college life influenced happiness, and the adaptation to adult student relationships, which is the lower part of the adaptation to college life, had the greatest impact on happiness. The above research results suggest that the various positive experiences experienced in university life can affect happiness by easing student relationships, psychological stability, and physical tension, and improving one's own satisfaction with internal growth.

This Research is a descriptive study conducted to identify the academic stress, interpersonal relationships, and degree of adaptation to college life of nursing students who experienced COVID-19, and to identify factors influencing college life adaptation. The subjects of the research were sophomore students enrolled in 3 university nursing departments in G city. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were analyzed. The research result showed a significant negative correlation (r=-.584, p<.001) for academic stress and college life adaptation, and a significant positive correlation (r=.505, p<.001) for interpersonal relationships and college life adaptation. The regression model to confirm the influencing factors on college life adaptation was shown to be significant (F=64.462 p<.001). Academic stress (β=-.542, p<.001), interpersonal relationships (β=.339, p<.001), and housing type (β=.199, p<.001) were found to be significant predictive factors. The explanatory power of these variables was 54.6%. Through the results of this research, it will be possible to provide basic data for developing educational programs to reduce academic stress, improve positive and smooth interpersonal relationships, and improve emotional support for college life adaptation.
This study investigates convergent influence on college life adaptation and its association with life stress, depression and ego resiliency among of nursing students. The data of life stress, depression and ego resiliency on college life adaptation was collected for the nursing students of G city from Dec. 5th 2015 to Feb. 8th 2016. There was a significant difference in life stress, college life adaptation according to club experience and grade level, depression according to best friend and ego resiliency according to satisfaction with major. Adaptation to college life was negatively correlated with life stress and it was positively correlated with ego resiliency. Life stress and ego resiliency is a significant predictor of college life adaptation in nursing students. Their explanatory power was 32.9%. In order to help nursing college students to adapt to college life well, it will be necessary to provide the intervention to decrease the degree of life stress and to the improvement convergence program on ego resiliency.
This study designed to know subjective structure about clinical experience of adaptation of new nursing staffs in a general hospital and using Q-methodology. Using Q-methodology, 40 new nursing staffs sorted working a general hospital through personal interview. The statement positions on the sorting continuum were scored from +4(representing the highest level of agreement) through 0(at the neutral position on the continuum) through to -4(representing the highest level of disagreement). Factor analysis of the data was undertaken using PC QUANL program to determine if any patterns were discernible. The five types extracted all had eigenvalues greater than 1.0 and explained 62.38% of the variation in responses.: (1) New workload type, (2) Interest and responsibility type, (3) Improve the situation type, (4) Lack of knowledge and technology type, and (5) Excessive workload type. The significant differences found in the subjective structure of clinical experience of adaptation of new nursing staffs in ad general hospital. The findings of this study could contribute to the development of an effective programmes of education and personnel clinical practice strategies.
This study attempts to understand new immigrants' socio-economic adaptation by linking them with the restructuring economies in large US metropolitan areas. Selecting Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Atlanta, we examine the industrial distribution of employed Hispanic and Asian immigrant groups with respect to the industrial change experienced between 1980 and 1990, and residential concentration represented by higher location quotients. The findings are that new immigrant groups are employed in overall industrial sectors close to that of total population and their large residential concentrations are displayed near downtown as well as outlying areas. These suggest that new immigrant groups experience different socio-economic adaptation from those generalized in the previous European immigrants, concentrated in manufacturing sector and near downtown area. This study proposes that divergent economic restructuring across metropolitan areas and new immigrants' backgrounds should be considered for better understanding of immigrants' economic adaptation in the current economic restructuring and its spatial manifestation in the US contexts.
