The Derivation of Error Estimates with Various Shape Functions for Time Integration Using Finite Element Approach (유한요소 기법을 적용한 시간적분법에서 형상함수에 따른 오차추정치 유도)

  • 불연속 갤러킨 정식화에 기초를 둔 시간적분법에 대하여 시간을 변수로 한 유한요소적 접근법을 시도하였다. 단일 형상함수와 두 형상함수 정식화에 대해 각각 선형, 이차 형상함수를 적용하여 모두 네 종류의 시간적분법을 유도하였으며, 각 방법에 대하여 시간시텝의 증가에 따른 변위와 속도의 관계를 나타내는 증폭행렬을 계산하였다. 유도된 방법들의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 부하가 갑자기 변화는 진동 문제를 해석하고 변위의 오차를 비교하였다. 네 가지의 방법에 대하여 국부 오차 추정치를 개발하였으며, 오차 추정치의 정확도를 수치예를 이용하여 평가하였다. 단일 형상함수 정식화에서 이차 형상함수를 이용한 오차 추정치가 실제 국부오차를 잘 나타내었으며 유도된 오차 추정치는 시간간격제어 기법에서 시간간격의 크기를 결정하는 척도로 이용 가능하다.

  • Engine turbulences obtained by LDV measurement near the compression TDC was analyzed by the classic turbulence theory. Turbulences were quantified by a cycle resolved analysis and processed to reveal integral time scale and length scale. Three different definitions were applied to obtain the turbulence time scales and then compared each others. The classic turbulence theory with the several assumptions for engine application proven to be very efficient for understanding engine turbulence in this study. It was found that the integral length scale is strongly affected and increased by tumble flow.

  • The combustion phenomena of a reciprocating engine is one of the most important processes affecting performance and emissions. One effective way to improve the engine combustion is to control the motion of the charge inside a cylinder by means of optimum induction system design, because the flame speed is mainly determined by the turbulence at compression(TDC) process in S.I. engine. It is believed that the tumble and swirl motion generated during intake breaks down into small-scale turbulence in the compression stroke of the cycle. However, the exact nature of their relationship is not well known. This paper describes cycle resolved LDV measurement of turbulent flow inside the cylinder of a 4-valve engine under motoring(non-firing) conditions, and studies the effect of intake port configurations on the turbulence characteristics using following parameters ; Eulerian temporal autocorrelation coefficient, turbulence energy spectral density function, Taylor micro time scale, integral time scale, and integral length scale.

  • This study is realized using fuzzy evaluation and AHP(the analytic hierarchy process) for the optimum search of traffic route and estimated by the quantitative analysis in the vague subjective judgement. It is different from classical route search and noticed thinking method of human. Appraisal element, weight, appraisal value of route is extracted from basic of the opinion gathering fur the driving expert and example of route model was used for the finding of practice utility. Model assessment was performed attribute membership function making of estimate element, estimate value setting, weight define by the AHP, non additive presentation of weight according to $\lambda$-fuzzy measure, Choquet fuzzy integral.

  • On the notion that the Reynolds stresses are transported with different time scale depending on the transport direction, the third order velocity correlations are represented by a new turbulent gradient transport model with tonsorial Lagrangian time scale. In order to verify the proposed model, DNS data are first obtained in a turbulent channel flow at Re = 180 and tonsorial Lagrangian time scales are computed. The present model predictions are compared with DNS data and those predicted by the third-order turbulent transport model of Hanjalic and Launder that uses a scalar time scale. The result demonstrates that the Reynolds stresses are indeed transported with different time scale depending on the transport direction.

  • Autocorrelation function is widely used as a tool measuring linear dependence of hydrologic time series. However, it may not be appropriate for choosing decorrelation time or delay time ${\tau}_d$ which is essential in nonlinear dynamics domain and the mutual information have recommended for measuring nonlinear dependence of time series. Furthermore, some researchers have suggested that one should not choose a fixed delay time ${\tau}_d$ but, rather, one should choose an appropriate value for the delay time window ${\tau}_d={\tau}(m-1)$, which is the total time spanned by the components of each embedded point for the analysis of chaotic dynamics. Unfortunately, the delay time window cannot be estimated using the autocorrelation function or the mutual information. Basically, the delay time window is the optimal time for independence of time series and the delay time is the first locally optimal time. In this study, we estimate general dependence of hydrologic time series using the C-C method which can estimate both the delay time and the delay time window and the results may give us whether hydrologic time series depends on its linear or nonlinear characteristics which are very important for modeling and forecasting of underlying system.

  • 스크류 채널 내에 주기적을 배리어를 설치함으로써 단축 스크류 압출 공정에서의 혼합 성능이 높여질수 있음이 S.J. Kim과 T.H. Kwom에 의해 밝혀진 바있다. 그들은 이새 로운 스크류를 통한 혼합이 카오틱하는 점으로부터 이 새로운 스크류를 카오스 스크류라고 명명했다. 우리는 카오스 스크류가 장착된 단축 압출공정에서 역학계 이론과 혼합운동학을 연계하여 연구를 수행하였다. 포인카레 단면을 통한 연구로부터 우리는 배리어의 배열이 islan의 크기에 대단히 밀접하게 관련되어 있음을 발견하였다. 연속적인 쉘 변형은 카오틱 유동에서 유체 요소를 지수 함수 형태로 늘이는 늘임과 접힘으로 이루어진 카오틱 혼합 메 카니즘을보여준다. 유체요소의 국부 늘임은 원리상으로는 계산되어질수 있으나 수치 해석상 의 어려운 점이 있다. 정규 유동에서와 달리 카오틱 유동에서는 입자 추적이 Runge-Kutta 적분중의 시간간격에 대단히 민감하다. 그래서 실제 사용될수 있는 시간 간격에 의해 계산 된 국부 늘임율 및 혼합효율의 정확도가 보장되어지지 않는다. 이러한 점들을 고려하여 우 리는 새로운 혼합 척도로 $\sigma$z를 제안하는데 이값은 비교적 긴 유체선분이 채널방향을 따라 늘어나는 비에 관련된 값이다. 배리어 영역의 길이가 짧을수록 $\sigma$z는 큰값으로 나타나지만 포인카레 단면에 의한 연구에 따르면 배리어의 주기가 너무 짧다면 두 개의 거대한 island 가 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그리고 이러한 사실은 유체요소의 늘임비가 크다는 것이 항 상 좋은 혼합성능을 뜻하는 것은 아니라는 점을 보여준다. 이러한 관점에서 볼 때 혼합 스 크류를 설계하는데 있어서는 포인카레 단면을 병행하여 ${\sigma}_z$의 값을 사용하는 것이 바람직할 것이다.

  • This paper presents acquisition algorithm and an improved detection technique for the DS/CDMA (direction sequence code division multiple access) RAKE receiver in multipath fading channel. The DS/CDMA systems use the RAKE receiver, an accurate code acquisition is required for the RAKE branches. The algorithmis able to findthe pseudonoise (PN) code delay estimates for the RAKE branches in a multipath fading channel. In this paper a numerical method and computer simulation simulation have been developed for the acquisition system. The detection probability and mean acquisition time are investigated asa performance measure of the system using the Monte Carlo method. And also in order to analyze the effect of the acquisition on the RAKE receiver this paper bring out the effect of integration time, doppler frequency, processing gain and the number of users on the acquired code phase.

  • This paper shows alternative route search and preference route search for the traffic route search, and proposes the use of the fuzzy non-additive controller by the application of AHP(analytic hierarchy process). It is different from classical route search and notices thinking method of human. Model evaluation was performed attribute membership function making of estimate element, estimate value setting, weight define by the AHP, non additive presentation of weight according to $\lambda$-fuzzy measure and Choquet fuzzy integral. Finally, alternative route search was possible to real time traffic route search for the well variable traffic environment, and preference route search showed reflection of traffic route search disposition for the driver individual. This paper has five important meaning. (1)The approach is similar to the driver's route selection decision process. (2)The approach is able to control of route appraisal criteria for the multiple attribute. (3)The approach makes subjective judgement objective by a non additive. (4)The approach shows dynamic route search for the alternative route search. (5)The approach is able to consider characteristics of individual drivers attributed for the preference route search.

An Experimental Study of Turbulent Uniform Shear Flow in a Nearly Two-Dimensional $90^{\circ}$ Curved Duct (II) - Turbulent Flow Field- (2차원 $90^{\circ}$ 곡관에서 균일전단류의 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (2) -난류유동장-)

  • An experimental study is made of turbulent shear flows in a nearly two-dimensional 90.deg. curved duct by using the hot-wire anemometer. The Reynolds normal and shear stresses, triple velocity products, integral length scales, Taylor micro length scales and dissipation length scales are measured and analyzed. For a positive shear at the inlet, the afore-mentioned turbulence quantities are all suppressed. However, when the inlet shear flow is negative, they are augmented, i.e., the convex curvature suppresses the turbulence whereas the concave curvature augments it. It is found that the curvature effects are rather sensitive to the triple velocity products than the Reynolds stresses. The evolution of turbulence under the curvature with the different shear conditions is well described by the modified curvature parameter S' and the non-dimensional development time ${\tau}$.'
