Analysis on Changes in Strength, Chloride Diffusion, and Passed Charges in Normal Concrete Considering Ages and Mix Proportions (재령 및 배합특성을 고려한 보통 콘크리트의 강도, 염화물 확산계수, 통과전하량 변화 분석)

  • Concrete behavior in early-age is changing due to hydration reaction with time, and a resistance to chloride attack and strength development are different characterized. In the present work, changing strength and resistance to chloride attack are evaluated with ages from 28 days to 6 months. For the purpose, strength, diffusion coefficient, and passed charge are evaluated for normal concrete with 3 different mix proportions considering 28-day and 6-month curing conditions. With increasing concrete age, the changing ratio of strength falls on the level of 135.3~138.3%, while diffusion coefficient and passed charge shows 41.8%~51.1% and 53.6%~70.0%, respectively. The results of chloride diffusion coefficient and passed charge show relatively similar changing ratios since they are much dependent on the chloride migration velocity in electrical field. The changing ratios in chloride behaviors are evaluated to be much larger than those in compressive strength since the ion transport mechanism is proportional to not porosity but square of porosity.

  • To analyze the resistance of the bottom trawl which is composed with 6 seams net, the field experiment was carried out on the sea near Kokunsan Is., western sea of Korea. The resistance was respectively measured in the otter board and the net according to the change of warp length and towing speed. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. Total resistance of the test trawl gear are slightly increased according to the length of warp. 2. The resistance of net is increasing a little according to the length of warp, but it is expressed. $$ R_n/=10 \frac{d}{\ell}$representatively. 3. The resistance of otter board can be expressed $Rb=1810_{\upsilon}^0.8.$ 4. Comparing with the value of measuring resistance and Koyama formula resistance by the length of warp respectively, the resistance of test trawl gear is high in the slow towing speed, and the resistance of Koyama formula is high in the fast towing speed, and that the cross-point of the both line between the resistance of the test net and Koyama formula is moved to high according to the increment of warp length.

  • 1. 서론 : Polyimide는 내열성과 기계적, 화학적 특성이 다른 고분자막에 비해 뛰어나며 선택도 또한 비교적 높기 때문에($\alpha$= 3-7) 최근 많은 연구가 대상이 되고 있다. 그러나 trade-off현상으로 알려진 바와 같이 선택도가 우수한 고분자 재료는 투과계수가 떨어지고 투과계수가 높은 고분자 재료는 낮은 선택도를 갖고 있기 때문에 보다 광범위한 분야에 실용적인 막으로 사용하기 위해서는 이를 개선하는 연구가 필요하다. 최근의 연구는 높은 투과계수와 선택도를 가진 새로운 고분자 재료의 합성에 관한 연구, 뛰어난 투과계수를 가지고 있지만 선택도가 낮은 고분자막을 대상으로 여러가지 수식방법을 이용하여 투과계수를 감소시키지 않으면서 동시에 선택도를 향상시키기 위한 연구, 우수한 화학적 특성과 선택도를 가진 물질을 대상으로 복합막이나 비대칭막으로 만들어 투과 저항을 극소화시키기 위한 연구 등의 방향으로 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 Polyimide중 가장 큰 투과계수를 가진 것으로 보고된 6FDA-p-TeMPD막(P$_{O_2}$ = 122Barrer, $\alpha$$_{O_2/N_2}$ = 3.4)을 제조하여 분리 투과 특성을 향상시키려는 목적으로 UV처리를 하고 UV조사 시간과 강도(Intensity)를 변수로 투과 특성을 조사하여 가장 뛰어난 투과 특성을 나타내는 최적조건을 찾고자 하였다.

  • 조도계수는 하천의 흐름 저항을 총량적으로 나타내는 변수로서 흐름 계산에 큰 영향을 미치며 그 결과로 하천의 제방고 등 치수 시설물의 설계에 중요한 요인이 된다. 이에 따라 객관적이고 정량적인 조도계수의 산정은 오래 전부터 연구자들의 관심을 끌어왔다. 본 연구에서는 수위와 유량에 대한 현장 실측 자료를 토대로 Manning 식에 의해 조도계수를 산정하는 방법을 개괄하고 이를 실제 하천에 적용한 결과를 제시하였다. 2007년부터 2009년까지 호박돌, 자갈, 모래 하천과 자연 하천과 도시 하천을 포함하는 총 28개의 다양한 지점에 대해 조도계수가 산정되었다. 그리고 각 지점에서 산정된 유량에 따른 조도계수의 변화 특성이 분석되었다. 자갈 및 호박돌이 주된 하상재료인 하천에서는 조도계수가 유량 증가에 따라 대체로 감소하는 경향을 나타내고 있다. 반면에, 모래하천이나 도시 하천의 경우 유량 증가에 따른 조도계수의 변화가 거의 없거나 종종 조도계수가 증가하는 특성으로 나타나기도 한다. 자갈 하천의 경우 상대수심과 조도계수의 관련성을 분석한 결과 수심이 증가하면서 조도계수가 감소하는 특성이 잘 나타나고 있으며, 그 경향성은 Limerinos(1970)이 제시한 식과 상당히 근접한 결과를 나타내고 있다. 또한, 국내 하천의 자료를 이용하여 추정된 경험식을 제시하였다.

An Experimental Study on Pullout Behavior Characteristics of the Steel Strip Reinforcement Bolted with Braced Angles (버팀재 볼트 접합형 강재스트립 보강재의 인발거동특성에 관한 실험적 고찰)

  • In this study, the steel strip reinforcement bolted with braced angles expected to mobilize skin friction resistance as well as bearing resistance is proposed. Laboratory pullout tests are conducted to investigate the characteristics of pullout behavior. From the test results, friction effects between soil and reinforcement are evaluated with the width of reinforcement, magnitude of surcharge, and existence of bearing resistance member. Further to analyze interference effects for bearing resistance member, pullout tests are also carried by varing the number, the location, and the spacing of braced angles. Based on the test results, pullout resistance factor is evaluated under the consideration of location of braced angles and the degree of interference for spacing ratio.

Effect of Concentration Polarization on The Pervaporation of Aqueous Chlorinated-Organic Solution (유기염화물 수용액의 투과증발에 미치는 농도분극의 영향)

  • The pervaporation experiments of aqueous solutions of trichloroethylene (TCE) and chlorobenzene (CB) through the silicone rubber (polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS) membrane were carried out and the effect of concentration polarization on the separation characteristics was investigated. The resistance-in-series model was used to explain the boundary layer resistance. It was clear that the concentration polarization phenomenon had a significant effect on the permeation behavior in the pervaporation separation of the trace organic chlorides from aqueous solutions. With the same membrane thickness, the permeation of TCE, which has a stronger affinity for the PDMS, appeared to be more influenced by the boundary layer resistance than that of CB. The effect of boundary layer resistance was reduced and the membrane resistance became dominant with increasing membrane thickness at a given hydrodynamic condition. The separation factor was increased to approach the intrinsic separation factor of the membrane with its thickness.

Assessment on the Energy Efficiency Performance by the Fore-body Retrofit of the Coastline (연안선박의 선수부 개조에 의한 에너지 효율 성능 분석)

  • The primary objective of this study was to assess the energy efficiency performance of an optimized hull form capable of saving energy based on existing vessels. The bow shape of existing vessels was investigated, giving consideration to design draft and speed. Resistance performances were also assessed for existing vessels according to operating conditions. Commercial CFD codes and model test materials were used to assess effective power. An optimized hull form with minimum resistance was selected given real operating conditions. The effective horsepower of existing and optimized vessels was estimated at three speeds. Resistance performance for an optimized vessel showed a 6 % improvement in effective horsepower at design speed (12 knots) compared to existing vessels. Quasi-propulsive efficiency employed experimental data, while energy efficiency performance was analyzed based on operating days, bunker fuel oil C cost, daily fuel oil consumption and specific fuel oil consumption. Energy efficiency performance for an optimized vessel showed a gain of 30 million won per year in reduced costs at design speed (12 knots) compared to existing vessels.

  • To evaluate the hydraulic resistance behind bodies in a large scale grid numerical model, a drag stress term which is formulated by the drag force is introduced in the depth-integrated Reynolds equations. And also, the applicability and problems of this model are discussed through various numerical experiments where the analytical solutions exist. In the case of a single body, the error range of velocity difference between analytical and numerical solutions is within $\pm$10% and the wake width behind the body shows a good agreement with the analytical solution. When the drag coefficient and the eddy viscosity are precisely decided, the numerical solutions behind a row of bodies will be efficiently used in real situations.

  • The solidification rate is of special importance in determining the casting structures and properties. The heat transfer characteristics at the interface between the mold and the casting is one of the major factors that control the solidification rate. The thermal resistance exists due to the air-gap formation at the mold/casting interface during the freezing process. In this study two-dimensional Stefan problem with air-gap resistance in the rectangular mold is considered and the heat transfer characteristics is numerically examined by using the enthalpy method. The effects of the major parameters, such as mold geometry, thermal conductivity, heat transfer coefficient, and initial temperature of casting, on the thermal characteristics are investigated.

Analytical Expressions of Temperature Dependent Breakdown Voltage and On-Resistance for Si Power MOSFETs (실리콘 전력 MOSFET의 온도 관련 항복 전압과 ON 저항을 위한 해석적 표현)

  • Analytical Expressions of temperature dependent breakdown voltage and on-resistance for silicon power MOSFETs are induced by employing the temperature dependent effective ionization coefficient extracted from temperature dependent ionization coefficients for electron and hole, and electron mobility in silicon. The analytical results for temperature dependent breakdown voltage are compared with experimental results for tile doping concentration, 4x10$^{14}$ cm$^{-3}$ , 1x10$^{15}$ cm$^{-3}$ , 6x10$^{16}$ cm$^{-3}$ respectively. The variations of temperature dependent on-resistance and breakdown voltage dependent ideal specific on-resistance are also compared with the ones reported previously. Good fits with the experimental results ate found for the breakdown voltages within 10% in error for the temperature in the range of 77~300K at each doping concentration.
