A Study of Verification Methods for File Carving Tools by Scenario-Based Image Creation (시나리오 기반 이미지 개발을 통한 파일 카빙 도구 검증 방안 연구)

  • File Carving is a technique for attempting to recover a file without metadata, such as a formated storage media or a damaged file system, and generally looks for a specific header / footer signature and data structure of the file. However, file carving is faced with the problem of recovering fragmented files for a long time, and it is very important to propose a solution for digital forensics because important files are relatively fragmented. To overcome these limitations, various carving techniques and tools are continuously being developed, and data sets from various researches and institutions are provided for functional verification. However, existing data sets are ineffective in verifying tools because of their limited environmental conditions. Therefore, this paper refers to the importance of fragmented file carving and develops 16 images for carving tool verification based on scenarios. The developed images' carving rate and accuracy of each media is shown through Foremost which is well known as a commercial carving tool.

Combination Key Generation Scheme Robust to Updates of Personal Information (결합키 생성항목의 갱신에 강건한 결합키 생성 기법)

  • According to the Personal Information Protection Act and Pseudonymization Guidelines, the mapping is processed to the hash value of the combination key generation items including Salt value when different combination applicants wish to combine. Example of combination key generation items may include personal information like name, phone number, date of birth, address, and so on. Also, due to the properties of the hash functions, when different applicants store their items in exactly the same form, the combination can proceed without any problems. However, this method is vulnerable to combination in scenarios such as address changing and renaming, which occur due to different database update times of combination applicants. Therefore, we propose a privacy preserving combination key generation scheme robust to updates of items used to generate combination key even in scenarios such as address changing and renaming, based on the thresholds through probabilistic record linkage, and it can contribute to the development of domestic Big Data and Artificial Intelligence business.

A Size Simulation of Automatic Storage and Retrieval System for a B1 Type Mobile Harbor (반잠수식(B1) 모바일 하버에 도입될 자동창고 시스템의 크기 결정을 위한 시뮬레이션)

  • The volume of the world's container transportation has been increasing. To serve this transportation need, the size of the container carrier is getting larger. The global ports are required to deepen the waterways as well as to prepare infrastructure to serve these super-size container carriers. However, few ports around the world could meet the requirements. To solve these difficulties, the concept of the Mobile Harbor has been developed. An onboard Automatic Storage and Retrieval System(AS/RS) has been proposed for the B1 type Mobile Harbor to maximize the container throughput within the limited space of the Mobile Harbor. A scenario of operations and freight movements of the B1 type Mobile Harbor is prepared and the storage size of the B1 type Mobile Harbor through the computer simulation is estimated. The size of the Mobile Harbor and the size of the AS/RS has also been estimated. The optimized size of the Mobile Harbor could be proposed.

  • 우리나라의 농촌유역은 일반적으로 상류의 농업용저수지와 하류의 배수장을 통해 홍수조절이 이루어지며, 각 농업수리구조물의 운영이 유역의 홍수 및 침수 발생에 큰 영향을 끼친다. 농촌유역의 홍수 대응 능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 농업수리구조물의 통합적 운영이 필요하나 현실에서 이를 시험 운영하기 위해서는 시간적·경제적으로 한계가 있다. 따라서 농촌유역 내 농업수리구조물을 연계한 통합 해석 시스템을 활용하여 다양한 구조물 운영 시나리오에 따른 홍수 위험을 예측하고 효율적인 대응 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 농업수리구조물을 연계한 홍수·침수 모의 시스템을 구축하기 위하여, 농촌유역에서 홍수·침수 모의를 위한 요소별 모듈을 구성하고, 각 모듈의 연계 기술을 개발하였다. 홍수·침수 해석 모듈은 농업용저수지 상류 유역에서부터 하류 하천 및 농경지까지 통합적으로 분석할 수 있도록 강우 분석 모듈, 강우-유출 모듈, 저수지 운영 모듈, 하천 수위 모듈, 농경지 배수 모듈의 5가지로 구성하였으며, 데이터베이스 모듈을 통해 기초자료를 저장하고 모듈 간의 입출력 과정을 처리하였다. 강우 분석, 강우-유출, 농경지 배수 모듈은 python 코드를 기반으로 자체적으로 구축하였으며, 기존의 모형 (FARD, HEC-HMS, GATE2018)들과 비교한 결과 거의 동일한 모의 결과를 나타냈다. 저수지 운영 모듈과 하천 수위 모듈은 각각 미 공병단의 HEC-5, HEC-RAS 모형을 CLI (Command Line Interface) 방식으로 외부 구동하도록 구성하였다. 전체 모듈 간의 연계에는 python 라이브러리인 Dask를 적용하여 대량의 데이터에 대한 병렬 처리 구조를 갖춤으로써 다양한 기상자료와 운영 시나리오에 따른 반복 작업을 효율적으로 수행하도록 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 홍수·침수 모의 요소별 모듈과 연계 기술을 기반으로, 농업수리구조물의 연계 운영을 통합적으로 모의함으로써 홍수 대비를 위한 효율적인 구조물 운영안을 도출할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on Domestic Policy Framework for Application of Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage(CCS) (이산화탄소 포집 및 저장 실용화를 위한 국내 정책 연구)

  • This study examines the current status and policy development of Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage(CCS), which is a technology to mitigate climate change, in Korea and foreign countries. It also analyzes IEA CCS regulatory framework as a guideline and provides limitations and implications for marine geological storage in the Republic of Korea. Although CCS master plan is established at national level, related laws are not amended and detailed polices are not yet provided. Established 'Intergovernmental CCS committee' lacks its cooperative mechanism and flexibility. Only limited and segmented economic analyses are performed and funding for large scale of CCS project is not secured. In addition, information sharing is limited and public awareness activities are insufficient. Therefore, this paper provides some policy suggestions on establishing a legal framework based on the 'Marine Environmental Management Act', strengthening the role of intergovernmental CCS committee, conducting CCS economic analysis based on various scenarios, providing economic incentives and public participation strategies, and establishing a specialized agency for information sharing.

Probable Volcanic Flood of the Cheonji Caldera Lake Triggered by Volcanic Eruption of Mt. Baekdusan (백두산 화산분화로 인해 천지에서 발생 가능한 화산홍수)

  • The historical accounts and materials about the eruption of Mt. Baekdusan as observed by the geological survey is now showing some signs of waking from a long slumber. As a response of the volcanic eruption of Mt. Baekdusan, water release may occur from the stored water in Lake Cheonjii caldera. The volcanic flood is crucial in that it has huge potential energy that can destruct all kinds of man-made structures and that its velocity can reach up to 100 km $hr^{-1}$ to cover hundreds of kilometers of downstream of Lake Cheonji. The ultimate goal of the study is to estimate the level of damage caused by the volcanic flood of Lake Cheon-Ji caldera. As a preliminary study a scenario-based numerical analysis is performed to build hydrographs as a function of time. The analysis is performed for each scenario (breach, magma uplift, combination of uplift and breach, formation of precipitation etc.) and the parameters to require a model structure is chosen on the basis of the historic records of other volcanos. This study only considers the amount of water at the rim site as a function of time for the estimation whereas the downstream routing process is not considered in this study.

Urban Street Planting Scenarios Simulation for Micro-scale Urban Heat Island Effect Mitigation in Seoul (미시적 열섬현상 저감을 위한 도시 가로수 식재 시나리오별 분석 - 서울시를 대상으로 -)

  • Global warming becomes a serious issue that poses subsidiary issues like a sea level rise or a capricious climate over the world. Because of severe heat-wave of the summer in Korea in 2016, a big attention has been focused on urban heat island since then. Not just about heat-wave itself, many researches have been concentrated on how to adapt in this trendy warming climate and weather in a small scope. A big part of existing studies is mitigating "Urban Heat Island effect" and that is because of huge impervious surface in urban area where highly populated areas do diverse activities. It is a serious problem that this thermal context has a high possibility causing mortality by heat vulnerability. However, there have been many articles of a green infrastructures' cooling impact in summer. This research pays attention to measure cooling effect of a street planting considering urban canyon and type of green infrastructures in neighborhood scale. This quantitative approach was proceeded by ENVI-met simulation with a spatial scope of a commercial block in Seoul, Korea. We found the dense double-row planting is more sensitive to change in temperature than that of the single-row. Among the double-row planting scenarios, shrubs which have narrow space between the plant and the land surface were found to store heat inside during the daytime and prevent emitting heat so as to have a higher temperature at night. The quantifying an amount of vegetated spaces' cooling effect research is expected to contribute to a study of the cost and benefit for the planting scenarios' assessment in the future.

A Numerical Study on the CO2 Leakage Through the Fault During Offshore Carbon Sequestration (해양지중에 저장된 이산화탄소의 단층을 통한 누출 위험 평가에 관한 수치해석 연구)

  • To mitigate the greenhouse gas emission, many carbon capture and storage projects are underway all over the world. In Korea, many studies focus on the storage of $CO_2$ in the offshore sediment. Assurance of safety is one of the most important issues in the geological storage of $CO_2$. Especially, the assessment of possibility of leakage and amount of leaked $CO_2$ is very crucial to analyze the safety of marine geological storage of $CO_2$. In this study, the leakage of injected $CO_2$ through fault was numerically studied. TOUGH2-MP ECO2N was used to simulate the subsurface behavior of injected $CO_2$. The storage site was 150 m thick saline aquifer located 825 m under the continental shelf. It was assumed that $CO_2$ leak was happened through the fault located 1,000 m away from the injection well. The injected $CO_2$ could migrate through the aquifer by both pressure difference driven by injection and buoyancy force. The enough pressure differences made it possible the $CO_2$ to migrate to the bottom of the fault. The $CO_2$ could be leaked to seabed through the fault due to the buoyancy force. Prior to leakage of the injected $CO_2$, the formation water leaked to seabed. When $CO_2$ reached the seabed, leakage of formation water stopped but the same amount of sea water starts to flow into the underground as the amount of leaked $CO_2$. To analyze the effect of injection rate on the leakage behavior, the injection rate of $CO_2$ was varied as 0.5, 0.75, and $1MtCO_2/year$. The starting times of leakage at 1, 0.75 and $0.5MtCO_2/year$ injection rates are 11.3, 15.6 and 23.2 years after the injection, respectively. The leakage of $CO_2$ to the seabed continued for a period time after the end of $CO_2$ injection. The ratios of total leaked $CO_2$ to total injected $CO_2$ at 1, 0.75 and $0.5MtCO_2/year$ injection rates are 19.5%, 11.5% and 2.8%, respectively.

Development of a Core management Algorithm for Optimal Design of AMBIDEXTER Transient Cores (AMBIDEXTER 천이노심 설계최적화를 위한 노심관리 알고리즘 개발)

  • AMBIDEXTER-NEC의 천이노심은 $^{Nat}Th$$^{Nat}U$의 주입만으로 전 출력의 Break-even 노심에 도달하기위한 중간 단계이다. 선행연구에서 수행한 전 출력노심인 평형노심의 핵종수밀도에 도달하기 위해서 평형노심에서의 기저물질, 잠재핵분열성물질, 핵분열물질의 수밀도를 각 SEU-기반, Pu-기반, ADS-기반에서 그대로 유지하여 초기노심을 구성하였다. 또 각 시나리오에 대해 최대첨두출력과 원자로의 안전성을 고려해 Excess Reactivity를 5mk 내에서 초기노심을 결정하였다. 각 노심은 주 핵분열성물질 $^{235}U$, $^{239}Pu$$^{233}U$의 핵반응단면적 특성에 따라 평균 전환율이 각각 0.95, 0.83 및 1 .21 로서 핵연료물질의 적절한 선택만으로도 전환로, 연소로 및 증식로로 설계할 수 있음을 보여준다. 이러한 $Th/^{233}U$, U/Pu 핵연료주기를 사용하는 AMBIDEXTER-NEC 용융염핵연료 원자로의 초기노심에서 시작한 천이노심은 평형노심에장전할 충분한 $^{233}U$ 양을 확보해야 하므로 천이노심의 목표는 평형노심 $^{233}U$의 요구량에 최소한의 기간에 가장 적은 외부주입을 통해 도달하는 것이다. 천이노심에서 임계가 유지되는 AMBIDEXTER-NEC 원자로시스템의 3군 핵종변환 코드인 HELIOS-SQUID-AMBIBURN 체제를 개발하였고 그림 1.에 나타내었다. 이 알고리즘은 각 초기노심 중원소의 미시단면적, 중원소를 제외한 원소들의 거시단면적, 임계도를 만족하는 중성자속 및 외부주입율을 계산하여 SQUID 및 AMBIBURN 입력자료를 제공한다. 또한 일정시간 중원소의 핵종농도, 외부주입율과 중성자속이 일정하다는 가정 하 에 반복수행 하고 SEU-기반과 Pu-기반의 경우에는 각각 핵변환을 거쳐 재순환되는 $^{233}U$$^{239}Pu$의 양을 바로 주입하는 최대재순환 경우와 평형노심 요구 장전량에 이를 때까지 시설 내 저장하는 최소재순환 경우로 상황을 모사하였다. 그림 2 는 각 시나리오별 초기노심에서부터 200FPD까지 단위 용융염 체적당 $^{233}U$의 수밀도 시간변화를 나타낸 것이다. 그림을 보면 50일 이후부터는 수밀도의 변화가 일정한 기울기를 보이고 있고 재처리공정에서 $^{233}Pa$를 분리하는 최소재순환의 경우에는 최대재순환보다 2-3%정도에 지나지않아 그림에서 나타내지않았다. SEU-기반 및 Pu-기반에서 $^{233}U$의 증가율이 각각 2.54E+13, 2.81E+13 #/cc/d 로 Pu 기반이 조금 더 큰 증가율을 나타내고 있지만 평형노심 농도 1.04E+20 #/cc/d 에 도달하기 위해서는 두 경우 모두 매우 긴 시간이 걸릴 것을 예상할 수 있다. 요컨대 250MWth AMBIDEXTER-NEC가 평형노심을 이루기 위해 필요로 하는 $^{233}U$을 생산하는데 제안한 SEU-기반, Pu-기반 시나리오는 천이노심주기기간이 전형적인 원자로 수명 3-40년 보다 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 장전될 $^{233}U$의 확보를 위한 최적옵션은 초기노심부터 ADS와 같은 외부생산시설로부터 전량을 공급 받아 운전하는 것이라 판단된다.

Recent Technique Analysis, Infant Commodity Pattern Analysis Scenario and Performance Analysis of Incremental Weighted Maximal Representative Pattern Mining (점진적 가중화 맥시멀 대표 패턴 마이닝의 최신 기법 분석, 유아들의 물품 패턴 분석 시나리오 및 성능 분석)

  • Data mining techniques have been suggested to find efficiently meaningful and useful information. Especially, in the big data environments, as data becomes accumulated in several applications, related pattern mining methods have been proposed. Recently, instead of analyzing not only static data stored already in files or databases, mining dynamic data incrementally generated in a real time is considered as more interesting research areas because these dynamic data can be only one time read. With this reason, researches of how these dynamic data are mined efficiently have been studied. Moreover, approaches of mining representative patterns such as maximal pattern mining have been proposed since a huge number of result patterns as mining results are generated. As another issue, to discover more meaningful patterns in real world, weights of items in weighted pattern mining have been used, In real situation, profits, costs, and so on of items can be utilized as weights. In this paper, we analyzed weighted maximal pattern mining approaches for data generated incrementally. Maximal representative pattern mining techniques, and incremental pattern mining methods. And then, the application scenarios for analyzing the required commodity patterns in infants are presented by applying weighting representative pattern mining. Furthermore, the performance of state-of-the-art algorithms have been evaluated. As a result, we show that incremental weighted maximal pattern mining technique has better performance than incremental weighted pattern mining and weighted maximal pattern mining.
