The failure of distinguishing homographs in describing relations of individual authors and relations of authorship(i.e. distinction of persons with the same name or persons of the same literary author's name) will cause difficulties of retrieving exact information. It is because relations of automorphism cannot be formed between the two sets mentioned above. Therefore, it is ultimately necessary to set up the criteria or tools to distinguish homographs in order to retrieve more exact information. In the past, some efforts were made to develop authority data in order to solve the homograph problems by individual libraries, documents and portal sites in Korea. It is well understood that developing authority data by an individual institution was very difficult with no criteria or no rules to clarify the homograph problems at the national level. This study is to develop ways of recognizing individual names including subject words and proper nouns. The results of the study will present methods of distinguishing and describing homographs between individual author sets, and authorship sets particularly focused on the areas of arts and popular culture.

This study came up a library thought and the theory of cataloging through analyzing the life and writings of Seymour Lubetzky who founded the principals of cataloging in the twentieth century. This study investigated the historical social, ideological, and cultural context, using a literature survey and the methodology of historical research. Moreover, this study aimed a comprehensive research based on the results of domestic and foreign fragmentary studies, and analyzed the effects of Lubetzky's thought of cataloging. Thus, this study found Lubetzky's library and cataloging thought. The theory of cataloging that analyzes the above findings is the design of cataloging rules and a bibliographical relationship establishment. First of all, the principles of descriptive cataloging should contain the necessity, simplicity, unity, consistency, finality, and the characteristics of interrelations, and clarify the purpose of cataloging. The bibliographical relationship is built on dividing a work as an intellectual product into a book as a physical substance. Moreover, a basic entry is entered on the basis of author names for planning the concentration of works, and a corporate name and an anonym are contained in the author names for extending the concept of author.

This study investigates the various statistical data and measures of coauthorship network in the Korean LIS Research Community such as patterns of coauthorship, structural properties, types of cluster, centrality & impact analysis. This issues are mostly addressed through a Social Network Analysis of articles published from 2000 to 2009(10 years) in Korean Library & Information Science major four Journals. The coauthorship network was constructed and various measures of four centralities, PageRank, Effect size were calculated. The results show three implications. 1) There presents a phenomenon of Pareto's law in the articles publishing counts. 2) The top authors based on publishing counts prefer co-work publishing than solo-publishing. 3) The counts of article publishing are significantly correlated with five measures of network and not correlated with the case of power centrality.

In this digital environment, license contracting and technical protection measure are being used by copyright holders as a means to restrict the rights of information users. The study reviewed the conflicting relationship between the copyright law and the contract law for digital resources the use of which is based on license contracting, and investigated the legal interpretations of the conflicting relationship between the two. And then based on the analysis of IF LA's position on copyright in the digital environment, the study suggested the expected role of librarians to cope with the technological overrides of copyright rules and to expand the rights of information users.

Catalog serves a dual purposes. One is finding function(or identifying function) that is identified and located specific items and the other is collocating function which is displayed specific author's all works and all related editions. This study is re-examined the functions of catalog. For catalog's effective serving this study is provided and overviewed the FRBR(Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Record) models as reference conceptual model for functions of catalog.

Locating function of a particular item is more of added entry than a main entry heading. This function was expanded especially in the machine readable cataloging by introducing the control number and standard bibliographic number. Assembling function of the main entry heading is on a level with that of cross reference and notes, added entries, uniform headings. Links among all variant forms of a heading in hypercatalog will be made for collocating of all publications of a given author. The link of bibliographic records in this catalog can be freed from the dependence on standardized heading form. The function of the catalog is not affected even though by abandoning the concept of main entry heading. Further efforts should be made to raise users' finding opportunities through expansion of acces points and linking devices among related records.

The purpose of this study is to review the processing of Korean related personal identities included in the OCLC WorldCat Identities Network and propose how to improve its errors. With twelve samples of English and Korean personal and subject identities, their related identities and works were examined, and their bibliographic records were retrieved from WorldCat. In searching WorldCat, inconsistencies in default search queries and the processing of identities with a date or a fuller form of name were observed.

As Graphic Information is a intuitive, simple and definite media to transfer information to human, It is widely used and deserved as a information exchange and store media. But the graphic information is so abstract that a human may misunderstand that's real meaning. So In order to transfer a Exact information to a human, a additional picture and description is needed. So, in this paper, A authoring system is suggested that it can be able to give a additional information at each region in graphic information, and to structurize relations between each region and to give linking information between each region using XML Linking Notation. In this paper, An suggested authoring system is implemented to support a authoring facility which is to display graphical information of CGM(Computer Graphic Metafile) and BMP, and to define structural information by selecting each region of graphics image on screen directly, and to save that structural information and linking information with XML Linking notation, and to support a browsing facility which to find hot spot using a structurized graphic information and then to show a proper graph.

From the viewpoint of Information Ethics. I tried to examine the moral justification of Intellectual Property Rights in the age of the digital information society. Lockian traditional argument of property rights which is based on the value of labor and Hegelian theory of personalization, both are not enough to justify the new Intellectual Property Rights. The notions of Intellectual Property Rights are to be changed. One change is from the absolute dominion over material property to the limited dominion over intellectual property. The change from property rights to process control rights is the other. To protect these intellectual property rights, there are three possible protection devices that we might take - legal protection, technical protection and moral protection. I argued that both legal and technical protection have some limitations, so the final way to protect the IP rights is to attempt to establish the moral protection as a fundamental solution.

Bruxism이란, 일반적으로 기능이외의 목적으로 상하악 치아를 악물거나 갈음질 하는 것이라고 정의된다. 동일한 상태를 서술하는 용어로 neuralgia traumatica, Karolyi effect, occlusal habit neurosis, parafunction 등이 있으며, 수면중의 이갈음질을 bruxism, 주간의 습관성 이갈음질을 bruxomania로 구분하기로 한다. 또한 centric bruxism과 eccentric bruxism으로 분류하기도 한다. eccentric bruxism은 통상적 의미의 수면중의 bruxism이며, 하악의 측방운동중의 이갈음질이고 뽀드득하는 갈음질 소리를 냄, 저작근육의 긴장도가 증가되어 있으면서 등장성수축을 나타내고, 비중심위의(eccentric) 교합간섭이 주요 유발인자인 반면에 centric bruxism은 중심교합위에서 상하악 치아를 간헐적으로 악무는 것(clenching)은 의미하고 - 지속적으로 악무고 있는 것은 clamping이라고 함.- 주로 주간에 행하며 갈음질소리를 들을 수 없고, 역시 저자근육의 긴장도가 증가되어 있으며 등률성수축을 나타내고, 중심교합위에 근접하여 존재하는 교두간섭이 유발인자이다. bruxism이나 clenching과 부정교합의 관계는 bruxism과 clenching은 부정교합을 야기할 수 있고, 부정교합도 역시 bruxism과 clenching을 유발시키는 작용을 할 수 있는 악순환적 관계이다. 현저한 부정교합을 가지고 있는 bruxism환자의 교정치료는 그 목적이 bruxism의 치료라기보다는 오히려 부정교합의 치료이며 부차적으로 bruxism의 치료를 기대하게 된다. 그러나 bruxism이 장기간 지속되어 치아 및 그 주위조직, 악관절과 신경근계에 심한 손상을 주었을때의 교정치료는 일반적으로 제한을 받을 뿐만아니라 bruxism의 처치에는 거의 무의미한 치료가 될 수 있다. 따라서 거자는 bruxism 환자의 교정치료라는 제목의 원고 청탁을 받았으나 편집위원의 양해아래 장치를 이용한 bruxism의 치료에 관하여 서술하려 한다.
