Size-of-source Effect and Self-radiation Effect of an Infrared Radiation Thermometer (적외선 복사온도계의 복사원 크기효과 및 자기복사효과)

  • All radiation thermometers have a size-of-source effect (SSE) and a self-radiation effect (SRE). The SSE,defined as dependence of the detector signal of a radiation thermometer on the diameter of a source, is critically dependent on the wavelength since diffraction is the main cause. In this paper, we have measured the SSE and the SRE of TRT2 (Transfer Radiation Thermometer 2, HEITRONICS) widely used as a transfer standard in low and middle temperature range. At $300^{\circ}C$, The radiation temperature difference between the 60 mm diameter blackbody and 10 mm diameter blackbody due to the SSE was estimated to be $3.5^{\circ}C$ in low temperature mode ($8-14\;{\mu}m$) and $0.5^{\circ}C$ in middle temperature mode ($3.9\;{\mu}m$). In addition, the measured radiation temperature difference of the blackbody due to the SRE was found to be 110 mK when the body temperature change of TRT2 was set at $2.6^{\circ}C$.

  • MIRIS 우주관측카메라는 과학기술위성 3호의 주탑재체로서 $0.8{\sim}2.0{\mu}m$의 근적외선영역에서 우주배경복사와 우리은하 평면의 Pa-$\alpha$ survey 관측을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 임무를 수행하기 위해 MIRIS 우주관측카메라에는 MCT(HgCdTe) IR 검출기가 사용되고 6개의 필터를 장착할 수 있는 필터휠이 설계되었으며, 열잡음을 줄이고 원하는 SNR을 얻기 위해 모두 100K 이하로 냉각이 요구된다. 효과적인 냉각 및 저온유지를 위해서 외부의 열을 1차적으로 차단하는 Cryostat 외부용기와 100K 이하로 냉각되는 내부 Cold Box의 이중구조를 가지는 Dewar가 설계 되었다. 내부 Cold Box의 냉각은 소형 stirling cooler로 이루어지고 외부의 열 유입량이 Cooler의 냉각용량을 넘지 않도록 설계하였다. Cryostat 외부용기는 radiation cooling으로 냉각되어 200K 이하의 온도를 유지하며 내부 Cold Box로의 열유입을 최소화하기 위해 GFRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) 단열 지지대와 MLI(Multi Layer Insulation)가 사용된다. 또한 100K으로 냉각시 필터고정부와 Cold Box 구조에서 일어날 수 있는 구조적인 피로도를 줄이고 열변형에 의한 문제를 방지하기 위한 고려가 설계에 포함되었다. FM(Flight Model)은 고진공 환경의 우주공간에서 문제가 발생하지 않도록 설계되었다. 또한 EQM 진동시험결과를 토대로 발사환경에서 발생하는 강한 진동을 견딜 수 있도록 FEM(Finite Elements Method) 구조해석을 통하여 필터고정부에 flexible structure 설계와 완충제를 추가하고 필터휠 구동부와 harness 고정부 및 cooler 지지부를 비롯한 전체 구조물에서 충분히 진동을 극복할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

In(1-x)Al(x)Sb Grading Buffer 기술을 사용한 InSb 박막의 최적화

  • 6.48 ${\AA}$의 격자 상수를 갖는 InSb 물질은 0.17 eV의 낮은 에너지 밴드갭과 78,000 cm2/Vs의 전자 이동도를 갖는 물질로서 고속의 자성 센서소자, 장파장의 광 검출기 그리고 고속 전자소자 등의 분야에서 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나, 전기적 특성이 우수한 InSb 물질을 소자로 구현하는데 있어서 큰 어려움이 있다. InSb와 격자 크기가 잘 맞으면서 절연이 우수한 기판의 부재가 가장 큰 문제가 되는 부분이다. 즉, 격자 부정합을 최소화하며 동시에 절연기판을 사용함으로써 소자의 특성을 잘 살려야 하는 것이다. 이러한 이유로 인하여 InSb 기반의 소자가 널리 사용되지 못하고 있는 것이다. 현재 범용으로 사용하고 있는 기판은 격자 부정합이 14%인 GaAs, 11%의 InP 그리고 18%의 Si 등이 있다. 이번 발표에서는 GaAs 기판 위에 격자 부정합을 최소화하여 InSb 박막을 최적화 시켜 성장하는 방법에 대해서 소개하고자 한다. InSb 박막 성장하는데 있어 논문으로 보고된 여러 가지 방법들이 있다. 기판과의 격자 부정합을 줄이기 위하여 저온-고온 (L-T)의 의한 메타몰픽(metamorphic) buffer 층을 성장 후 InSb 박막을 성장하는 방법[1] 그리고 단계별 buffer를 성장하는 방법[2] 등을 통해서 많은 진보가 있었다. 하지만, 우리는 GaAs 기판 위에 AlSb 박막을 성장 하면서 동시에 In과 Al의 양을 서서히 변화시키는 grading 기술을 사용하였다. 즉, 물질 각각의 격자상수를 고려하여 GaAs (기판)-AlSb-InAlSb-InSb로 변화를 주어 격자 부정합이 최소가 되도록 하여 만들어진 buffer 위에 InSb 층이 만들어 지도록 하여 GaAs 기판 위에 InSb 박막을 성장 할 수 있었다. grading 기술을 이용하여 만들어진 buffer 위에 성장된 0.3 um의 InSb 박막 층은 상온에서 전자 이동도가 약 38,000 cm2/Vs에 이르는 것을 확인하였다. InSb 박막의 두께가 약 1 um 되어야 30,000 cm2/Vs 이상의 전자 이동도를 얻을 수 있다고 많은 논문을 통해서 보고 되고 있으나 우리는 단지 0.3 um의 InSb 박막두께에서 이와 같은 전기적인 특성을 확인하였기에 이상과 같이 보고 하고자 한다.

A Study on the Distribution of Atmospheric Concentrations of Sulfur Compounds by GC/FPD (GC/FPD에 의한 대기 중 황화합물 농도분포에 관한 연구)

  • Sulfur compounds which are well-known odor-active compounds in industrial area have very low detection threshold values. Trace amounts of volatile sulfur compounds in enviroment air around several odor sources were concentrated in liquid argon bath and determined by gas chromatograph with flame photometric detector (FPD) which exhibits very good selectivity and sensitivity. 25% ${\beta}$,${\beta}$-Oxydipropionitrile on 60/80 Chromosorb W was used as adsorbent for the preconcentration of sulfur compounds in air sample and also as packing material for a packed glass column. Concentration volume of air sample was different from place to place in the range of 0.1~3.0L. Atmospheric concentrations of sulfur compounds in air of residential districts and boundaries of business establishments, and also those in the exhausted gases of emission points such as a sewage disposal plant in industrial area were measured.

Effects of Storage Temperature on the Survival of Vibrio mimicus K-1 in Seawater and Arkshell (해수와 피조개에서 Vibrio mimicus K-1의 생존에 대한 보관온도의 영향)

  • The cell density changes of Vibrio mimicus K-1 in sea water and arkshell feeding it were examined at various temperature. The strain was suspended in sterilized sea water and storaged at experimental temperature $(5,\;10,\;15,\;20,\;and\;28^{\circ}C)$). At intervals of up to 10 days, aliquots of each suspension were plated onto BHI agar. At 5 and $10^{\circ}C$, the plate counts of V. mimicus K-1 showed a rapid decline, which 3s known to be a reault of this bacterium's entering into the viable but non culturable state. At 20 and $28^{\circ}C$, however, V. mimicus K-1 are stable over the 10 days experimental periods. V. mimicus K-1 was fed to arkshell, which was subsequently stored at temperatures ranging from 5 to $20^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. The samples of arkshell were homogenized and plated at intervals to determine the cell density of V. mimicus K-1 and total aerobic population of bacteria present. At 5 and $10^{\circ}C$, the numbers of V. mimicus K-1 in sea water rapid decreased over the 10 days experimental periods. However, little change of V. mimicus K-1 density was observed in shellstock arkshell at 5 and $10^{\circ}C$. While, V. mimicus K-1 density was decreased more rapidly to level below limit of dectection in shucked arkshell at same temperature. Incubation at the higher temperature $(20^{\circ}C)$ resulted in large increase in total aerobic bacterial number of shellstock arkshell. These results suggest that even with proper storage, indigenous levels of V. mimicus may remain sufficiently high in shellstock arkshell to produce infection in compromise hosts.

Changes of Physicochemical Properties and Fatty acid Compositions of Rough Rice Stored at Different Storage Temperatures and Periods (벼 정조저장 중 저장온도 및 저장기간에 따른 쌀의 이화학적 특성 및 지방산 조성의 변화)

  • This study was conducted to investigate changes of physicochemical properties and fatty acid compositions of rough rice stored at different storage temperatures and periods. So we analyzed texture, alkali digestion value (ADV), toyo glossiness value, pasting properties, fat acidity and fatty acid compositions of five rice varieties every 4 month on the condition of which rough rice had been stored at different temperatures (ambient and low temperature condition at $15^{\circ}C$) for 2 years. Hardness of cooked rice was increased by storage periods and cohesiveness of cooked rice was not considerably different among varieties according to storage temperatures and periods. ADV was significantly different among varieties and storage periods but not different with storage temperatures. Toyo glossiness value of cooked rice was continuously decreased from 4 months after storage regardless to storage temperature. The pasting properties were considerably affected by storage temperatures and periods of rough rice. Increase in peak viscosity, final viscosity and breakdown was observed but setback was decreased by storage periods. Fat acidity of brown rice was much higher than that of milled rice during storage of rough rice and tend to increase by storage period. Oleic acid among fatty acids of brown rice except Sindongin and Hitomebore tended to be decreased by storage periods and linoleic acid among fatty acids of brown rice of Hopum was decreased by storage periods. The contents of linoleinic acid and stearic acid among fatty acids of milled rice were comparatively decreased from 4 months after storage, whereas the content of palmitic acid tended to be increased by storage periods.

Comparative Study on Material Characteristics of Joseon White Wares Excavated from Gangwon Wonju Province (강원 원주지역 조선백자의 재료학적 특성 비교연구)

  • This study aimed to investigate the chemical properties and production techniques for white wares from the Gwirae-1ri 3rd, Songok-3ri 2nd kiln sites in Kangwon Wonju regions. Further, another aim was to determine the correlation among the materials used to produce the white wares. The analysis of white wares in Kangwon Wonju regions produced the following results. The excavated white wares were analyzed using the Seger formula, and all the samples showed similar clay sources ($RO_2:4.33-5.82$, $RO+R_2O:0.32-0.43$) and glaze sources. Moreover, the white wares were made of host rocks of the same geological origin, according to the results of the rare earth elements analysis. When the crystalline phases of the white wares were investigated via the XRD analysis, quartz and mullite were found in all the samples, and their proportions were similar to each other. Although the firing temperatures for the samples were different, most were fired at a temperature below $1,200^{\circ}C$, with some being fired at temperatures as low as $1,000{\pm}20^{\circ}C$.

Changes of characteristics of livestock feces compost pile during composting period and land application effect of compost (축분 퇴비화과정 중 특성변화와 축분퇴비 이용효과)

  • Composting of livestock feces is economic and safe process to decrease the possibility of direct leakage of organic pollutants to ecosystem from commercial and environmental point of view. This study was conducted with three different experiments related to composting of livestock feces. The purpose of experiment 1 was to investigate changes of characteristic of compost pile during composting period by low temperature in cold season. To compare composting effect of experimental compost pile and control pile exposed in cold air, experimental compost piles were warmed up by hot air until their temperatures were reached at $35^{\circ}C$. Sawdust, Ricehull and Ricestraw were mixed with livestock feces as bulking agent. The highest temperatures of compost pile during composting period were in sawdust, rice hull, rice straw, and control were $75^{\circ}C$, $76^{\circ}C$, $68^{\circ}C$, $45^{\circ}C$ respectively. Moisture content, pH, C/N and volume of compost were decreased during composting period. Experiment 2 was carried out to study utilization effect of compost by plant. A corn was cultivated for 3 years on fertilized land with compost and chemical fertilizer. The amount of harvest and nutrition value of corn were analyzed. In first year of trial, the amount of harvest of corn on land treated with compost was lower by 20% than that of land treated with chemical fertilizer. In second year, there was no difference in yield of com between compost and chemical fertilizer. In third year, the yield of com on land fertilized with compost was much more than that of land fertilized with chemical fertilizer. The purpose of experiment 3 was to estimate the decrease of malodorous gas originating from livestock feces by bio-filter. Four types of bio-filters filled with saw dust, night soil, fermented compost and leaf mold were manufactured and tested. Each bio-filter achieved 87-95% $NH_3$ removal efficiency. This performance was maintained for 10 days. The highest $NH_3$ removal efficiency was achieved by leaf mold on the first day of operation period. It reduced the concentration of $NH_3$ by about 95%. Night soil and fermented compost showed nearly equal performance of 93 to 94% for 10 days from the beginning of operation. The concentration of hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan originating for compost were equal to or less than $3mg/{\ell}$ and $2mg/{\ell}$, respectively. After passing throughout the bio-filter, hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan were not detected.

HACCP Application of Instant Ablactation Baby Food Processing (즉석 이유식 제조시 HACCP의 적용)

  • In this study. HACCP system was applied to improve the quality of instant ablactation baby food with rising sanitary problem among SunSig(powder of roasted grains and vegetables) . It took about 9min 30 second to produce and the temperature status of raw materials were 30.9∼31.8$\^{C}$. Raw material and production phase goods had average 6.2 in pH and 0.23∼0.63 in water activity. The average number of total aerobic bacteria(TAB) and coliform were 1.4$\times$10$^4$ CFU/g, 5.5$\times$10 CFU/g in raw materials. And the number became 8.7$\times$10$^2$ CFU/g, 6.9$\times$10 CFU/g after 1st grinding step. The distributions of TAB and coliform in equipments were 3.8$\times$10$^4$ CFU/㎠, 8.0$\times$10 CFU/㎠ on the average. According to storage temperature, variations of number of TAB coliform were slight at 4$\^{C}$ but increased at 20$\^{C}$ and 30$\^{C}$ . Therefore following subjects can be issued on the basis of results. Minimize the storage time and keep at cool temperature. 1st and 2nd grinders should be managed hygienically. Establish the heating step during the production of instant action baby food. Instant ablactation baby food produced should be stored at cool and freeze condition.

Thermoelectric Properties of Rapidly Solidified and extruded N-type $Bi_2Te_{2.85}Se_{0.15}$ alloy with extrusion die angle (급속응고법에 의한 $Bi_2Te_3$계 N형반도체 열전재료의 압출 다이각 변화에 따른 열전특성)

  • 열전재료는 열전현상을 가지고 있어 열전발전과 열선냉각이 가능하기 때분에 해저용, 우주용, 군사용의 특수 전원으로 이미 실용화되어있고, 반도체, 레이저 다이오드, 적외선 검출소자 등의 냉각기로 쓰여지고 있어 많은 연구자들이 이들 재료에 대한 연구에 관을 갖고 열전특성을 향상시키기 위하여 많은 연구를 진행하고 있다 이들 열전재료는 사용 온도구역에 따라 3종류로 구분하고 있으며, 실온부근의 저온 영역(20$0^{\circ}C$)이하에서는 $Bi_2Te_3$계 재료, 중온영역(20$0^{\circ}C$~50$0^{\circ}C$)에서sms (Pb,Ge) Te계 재료, 고온영역(50$0^{\circ}C$~lOoo$^{\circ}C$)에서는 Si-Ge계 Fe Si계 재료가 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실온에서 성능지수가 높은 Bi_2(Te,Se)_3$에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. Bi_2(Te,Se)_3$계 열전재료는 기존의 공법인 Zone melting법을 이용하는 경우 성능지수가 높으나, 단위정이 Rhombohedral 구조파 기저면(basal plane)에 벽개성이 있는 관계로 재료의 적지 않은 손실과 가공상의 어려움이 있다. 또한 사료전체에 걸쳐 화학적으로 균질한 고용체를 얻는 것도 어려운 문제점으보 부각되고 있디 따라서 이와같은 문제점을 보완하기 위하여 용질원자의 편석감소, 고용도의 증가, 균일 고용체 형성, 결정립의 미세화등의 장점이 있는 급속응고법을 본 연구에 응용하였다. 본 연구에서는 위에서와 같은 급속응고의 장점과 대량 가공이 능늪한 연간압출공정을 이용하여 제조된 분말을 성형화 하였다. 특히 열간압출 가공에 있어서 압축다이 각 변화는 재료의 소성유동에 매우 중요한 역하을 하게되며, 이와 갇은 소성유동은 본 재료의 열전특성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 C 면 배양에 중요한 역할을 한 것으 로 기대된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 압출다이 각도 변화에 따른 미세조직변화와 이들 조직이 강도와 열전특성에 미치는 영향을 석하고자 한다. 압출재의 미세조직은 XRD(X Ray Diffraction), SEM(Scanning Electron Microscopy)으로 분석하였으며, 열전특성인 Seebeck계수($\alpha$)와 전기비저항( $\rho$ )은 열전측정장치로, 기계적 강도는 MTS장비를 이용하여 이루어졌다. 또한 압축다이각도 변화에 따른 결정방위 해석은 모노크로미터가 장착된 X RD장비감 이용하여 분석되었다.
