Implementation of the Aptitude Test System for People with Visual Impairment Supporting Web Accessibility (웹접근성을 지원하는 시각 장애인용 적성검사 시스템의 구현)

  • Vocational rehabilitation is defined as a process which helps people with disabilities to maintain life of non-disabled people and vocational assessment is a part of it. Traditionally, vocational assessment is performed through using of assessment tools, vocational counseling and so on. It is very efficient to apply vocational assessment to people with disabilities using the internet, but we should provide them with web accessibility. In this paper, we design and implement the aptitude test system for people with visual impairment supporting web accessibility. We develop the aptitude test system using the Holland Test which is the assessment tool of career guidance and counseling. We also show that the aptitude test system for people with visual impairment supports web accessibility more than previous Holland Test which is served in the internet.

  • This ladder rejection game is different from the existing game in terms of design, functions, and contents of the screen. This paper contains six specific explanations about the supplemented ladder rejection game. First, the design of this ladder rejection game extended fundamental principles of the existing game and added new diverse functions. Therefore, 12 people can play this game at the same time. Actually, the existing ladder game was designed for 10 people. Second, this supplemented ladder rejection game was designed after the existing game was analyzed. Third, the contents of the screen and the game which is embodied with object design of the whole screen were examined. Fourth, terminology and fundamental principles of this game was explained. Fifth, strong points of the game were listed. Sixth, the direction of the game development in the future was argued.

  • A communication is one of the most important factors for the human beings. Therefore, people who have some problems in communication need an Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) intervention to live in the human societies and several AAC systems have been developed to help the people. Lately, smart-phone is widely used to people as a communication device which can connect between persons. It can provide many useful methods and Apps to the user. If the AAC system is unified to the smart-phone, it is very effective device to the people with disabled because they can reduce the excessive expense and easily accommodate themselves to the AAC system. In this paper, an AAC program which is installed in the smart-phone or tablet PC is introduced. It has basic AAC solutions and can send SMS message to other people. We expect that the developed device can help the communication of the people with disabled and solve the social isolation of the disabled person.

  • 임상 결과의 측정에서 새로운 관점을 갖는 것은 중요하다. 의료 재활은 심리적 측정의 질들(표준화, 신뢰도, 타당도)에서 충분한 노력에 수행되어지지 않아 왔기 때문에 환자와 프로그램 사이에 일반화된 기능적인 평가 범위가 부족하다. 장애의 적절한 측정을 위한 요구는 기능적인 상태에서 변화들을 알리고 치료의 필요성을 평가하고 치료를 계획하고 결과를 예측하고 보상 방법을 측정하기 위한 환자의 치료와 임상 연구에서 모두 나타난다. 세계적으로 사용되어지고 있는 기능 평가 도구인 FIM으로부터 이 연구는 신체적 측정의 기대되어진 것에 유사한 비율로 기능적 평가 측정들을 구성한다. 노인 재활에서 기능적인 결과의 측정은 중요한 몇 가지 점이 있다. 첫째는 접근에 기초한 기능적인 결과는 치료 목표 설정에 필요하다. 둘째는 도구는 기능적인 향상을 예상하는데 유용해야 한다. 셋째는 기능 평가는 적절한 타당도와 신뢰도와 함께 고려되어져야만 한다. 넷째는 다른 기능적 도구들이 함께 평가되어져야 할 필요가 있다는 것이다. FIM의 목록의 어려운 접들은 손상을 입은 집단에서는 다소 다양하다. 가장 중요한 부분이기 때문에 하나의 운동범위는 요통과 화상을 입은 환자를 제외한 모든 손상을 입은 집단들에게 적용되어 질 수 있다. 기능의 운동과 인지적인 면은 구분되어지는 것이 중요하였고 분리되어져서 치료되어 졌다. 어려운 목록들은 손상을 입은 집단에서 다양하였고, 다양한 손상의 종류의 독특한 영향을 반영하였다. FIM은 기능적인 장애를 측정하기 위해 고안되어진 또 다른 도구이다. 그리고 다른 것들은 의료 재활을 위한 국제적 자료 체계를 만들기 위한 것이다. FIM의 목적은 의료 재활의 결과를 확인하고 장애의 정도의 측정을 포함한다. FIM은 7가지 수준에서 사회적 인지, 의사 소통, 이동, 움직임 (mobility), 소변 관리, 자조 활동을 평가한다. 범위는 총체적 도움의 비율로부터 완전하게 독립적인 것까지의 범위이고 도움, 감독, 도구의 사용의 범위를 고려한다. 27,009의 환자를 조사한 최근 검사 기록들은 FIM이 움직임(motor)과 인지 기능을 평가하는 것이라는 것을 보여준다(Hinemann, 1993). FIM의 저자들은 자료가 프로그램 평가의 시도에서 즉각적으로 적용 할 수 있기를 기대한다. FSI은 어떤 과제의 수행에서 어려움에 관계된 정보를 제공하는 것을 나타내고 과제를 수행하기 위한 환자를 위한 변경된 전략들을 발달시키기 위해 노력하는 임상가들에게 유용할 수 있다. 두 도구 모두는 전통적인 범위들보다 고관절 골절을 동반한 장애의 좀더 정확한 정보를 모으도록 할 수 있다. 고찰된 모든 연구의 결과들은 골절 후에 남아 있는 잔여 장애의 중요한 수준을 강조한다. 골절 전의 보행으로 회복된 사람은 매우 드물었다. 대부분은 기본적인 움직임 혹은 옷입기, 개인 위생에 관계된 활동들에서 의존적이었다. 많은 사람들은 사회에서 활동을 할 수 없었다. 장애의 적절한 측정의 요구는 환자 치료와 기능적인 상태에서 변화를 알고 치료의 요구도를 측정하고 치료를 계획하고 결과를 예상하고 보상 수단을 결정하는 임상적 연구에서 모두 나타난다. 물리치료 분야는 분야의 다른 영역에서 기능적인 결과를 충족시키고 발달시키는 것이 필요하다.

Effects of Music Therapy on Depression and Rehabilitation Motivation of Inpatients with Stroke (뇌졸중으로 입원한 환자에게 제공한 음악요법이 우울과 재활 동기에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to evaluate the effect of music therapy on depression and rehabilitation-motivation provided to stroke patients, thus achieving evidence-based music therapy as a nursing intervention method for patients. Thirty-three people who were hospitalized for stroke diagnosis at K-Hospital were required to listen to 10 pre-selected songs for three days before bedtime. According to the general characteristics, the proportion of male participants (25, 75.8%) was higher than female (8, 24.2%), and by age group, 6(18.2%) were in 40s, 19(57.6%) were in 50s and 8(24.2%) were aged 60 or older. The study data were analyzed using Wilcoxon-signed rank test. As a result, music therapy does not affect depression and rehabilitation-motivation. However, it was shown to be effective in reducing depression in MMSE group 1 (≤ 29) with low cognitive levels. It is expected that this study can be used as an evidence for music therapy which can be applied as a way to increase the effectiveness of nursing intervention.

A study of the multicomponent therapeutic recreation function intervention strategy by analysis on the operating condition of the cognitive rehabilitation program in dementia care center

  • This study was conducted with 50 elderly people each (5) participating in the cognitive rehabilitation treatment program at the Dementia Care Center in D City to derive the development direction and contents of a multidimensional therapeutic recreation program and a revitalization plan through analysis of the current status and actual conditions of the cognitive rehabilitation program at the Dementia Care Center. aperture) was selected, and 9 people were selected as the subject of expert group opinion collection. The collected data was SPSS ver. Using the 18.0 statistical program, descriptive statistics and the importance and priority of each component were analyzed by hierarchical structure analysis. First, unlike the needs of users, the cognitive rehabilitation support programs currently being provided are not sufficient and require considerable experience. It was found to be low, and the areas for improvement were the expansion of care and protection facilities and the development of various programs to meet the needs of users. Second, the importance and priority of each component of therapeutic recreation were categorized into 6 major categories: exercise therapy , middle category (16 items) behavior-centered approach to exercise therapy, small category (47 items) strength and brain gymnastics, and silver health gymnastics were the highest. This result shows that a multidimensional program plan that considers the priorities of each area must be made when developing a therapeutic recreation program.

The Effect of Cognitive Rehabilitation Program Using Virtual Reality (VR) Contents on Cognitive function, Depression, Upper Extremity Function and Activities of Daily Living in the Elderly (가상현실(Virtual Reality) 콘텐츠를 활용한 인지재활프로그램이 노인의 인지기능, 우울감, 상지기능 및 일상생활능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of cognitive rehabilitation programs using Virtual Reality(VR) content on the daily living abilities such as cognitive abilities, depression, and upper extremity functions of the elderly. The study group analyzed the effectiveness by separating the experimental group, which is the virtual reality cognitive rehabilitation application group, and the control group, the universal cognitive stimulation program application group. As a result of the study, the MMSE-K score improved by 13.0% in the experimental group and 2.3% in the control group. The improvement in each area of the experimental group was found to be 3.1% MBI, 7.1% MFT(Rt.), 3.5% MFT(Lt.), and 25.4% K-GDS. As a result of comparing the pre-post score change between each group, there was a significant difference between groups in daily living ability (p<.001) and MFT(Rt.)(p<.01). In addition, as a result of comparing the changes in absolute alpha waves to confirm the degree of depression through brain waves, there was no statistically significant difference. However, in the experimental group, it was confirmed that the average value increased to a positive value. This study is an experiment to verify the effectiveness of the cognitive rehabilitation program using virtual reality contents, and suggests a new intervention method to maintain and improve the daily life ability, cognitive function, depression and upper extremity function of the elderly.

The Effect of Self Swallowing Exercise Program with Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation(NMES) on Swallowing Function of Dysphagia (신경근 전기자극치료와 함께 적용된 자가 삼킴 운동 프로그램이 삼킴 장애 환자의 삼킴 기능 향상에 미치는 효과)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of self swallowing exercise program with neuromuscular electrical stimulation(NMES) on swallowing function. Methods : Subjects who were diagnosed in dysphagia were randomly divided into the control group or experimental group. Both group were received NMES during 60 minutes with traditional swallowing therapy during 30 minutes. Additionally the experimental group was received self swallowing exercise during 30 minutes. We invested subject's characteristics through medical chart. We used VDS(Videofluoroscopic Dysphagia Scale) and PAS(Penetration Aspiration Scale) for assessing the swallowing function. Results : There were not significantly different in both group's pre swallowing function. The control group was significantly improved on pyriform sinus residue, aspiration, and VDS total score(p<.05). The experimental group was significantly improved on vallecular residue, pyriform sinus residue, and VDS total score(p<.05). Both group's difference of pre and post swallowing function were not significantly different. Conclusion : Self swallowing exercise and traditional swallowing therapy with NMES and traditional swallowing therapy with NMES are positive effect on swallowing function. The self swallowing exercise is not effective factor.

A Study on the Current Situation and Trend Analysis of The Elderly Healthcare Applications Using Big Data Analysis (텍스트마이닝을 활용한 노인 헬스케어 앱 사용 추이 및 동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in the elderly healthcare app market through text mining analysis and to present basic data for activating elderly healthcare apps. Data collection was conducted on Naver, Daum, blog web, and cafe. As for the research method, text mining, TF-IDF(Term frequency-inverse document frequency), emotional analysis, and semantic network analysis were conducted using Textom and Ucinet6, which are big data analysis programs. As a result of this study, a total of six categories were finally derived: resolving the healthcare app information gap, convergence healthcare technology, diffusion media, elderly healthcare app industry, social background, and content. In conclusion, in order for elderly healthcare apps to be accepted and utilized by the elderly, they must have a good diffusion infrastructure, and the effectiveness of healthcare apps must be maximized through the active introduction of convergence technology and content development that can be easily used by the elderly.

  • The purpose of this paper is to make a careful study on the characterization of information science and to describe the scientific basis for the revitalization. At first, various theoretic models in initial stage and later tendency of infor mation science are analyzed and evaluated. After that the dilemma and nature of information science as a postmodem science are investigated. Upon the results of these analysis and investigation, the new reference points of information science are presented from the strategic, theory-immanant, and methodological aspects.
