  • 고흡수성 고분자는 이온성기를 가진 수용성 고분자에 부분적인 가교결합을 도입하여 일반적으로 카르복실기 이온 (-COO-)등과 같은 친수성기를 다량으로 지닌 3차원 망상구조를 지니는 수용성 고분자이다[1]. 여지껏 물을 흡수하는 목적으로 사용된 흡수소재는 면, pulp, sponge 등이 일반적으로 알려져 있다. 이들은 모세관 현상에 의해 물을 흡수하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 이들 흡수 재료의 흡수능력은 자기 무게의 수백 배로부터 천 배까지의 물도 흡수하며 외압하에서도 잘 탈수되지 않는 고기능성 고분자이며 그 원리는 다음과 같다. Fabrication of Aluminum Nitride Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composites via Plasma Arc Melting under Nitrogen Atmosphere (플라즈마 아크 용해 공정으로 자발합성된 질화알루미늄 강화 알루미늄기지 복합재료의 개발)

  • In this study, aluminum nitride (AlN) reinforced aluminum (Al) matrix composites are fabricated via plasma arc melting under a nitrogen atmosphere. Within a minute of the chemical reaction between Al and N, dispersed AlN with the shape of transient and lamellar layers is in situ formed in the Al matrix. The composite contains 10 vol.% AlN reinforcements with low thermal resistance and strong bonding at the interfaces, which leads to the unique combination of thermal expansivity and conductivity in the resulting composites. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the composite can be further reduced when Si was alloyed into the Al matrix, which proposes the potential of the in situ Al matrix composites for thermal management applications.

Fabrication and Evaluation of the Super Thin-Type EM Wave Absorber for Suppressing EM Noises in 2.4 GHz Band (2.4 GHz 대역용 불요전자파 억제용 초박형 전파흡수체의 제작 및 평가)

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated the EM wave absorber consisted of Sendust for suppressing EM wave noise PCB in ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band of 2.4 GHz. We fabricated several samples with different composition ratios of some kinds of Sendust to CPE (Chlorinated Ploy-ethylene) as a binder, and it was confirmed that the optimum composition ratio of absorbing materials was Flaked Sendust : CPE = 72.5 : 27.5 wt.%.. The absorbing abilities were simulated by changing the thickness and the measured material constants of EM wave absorber. The measured absorption abilities were analyzed and compared with the simulated ones. As a result, the simulated results agree well with the measured ones, and the developed EM wave absorber with extremely thin thickness of 0.6 mm has absorption ability of 5.4 dB at 2.4 GHz is excellent one. The thin type EM wave absorber can be applied for suppressing and absorbing electromagnetic noises from information and communication equipments.

Synthesis of $Ti_5SI_3$ by Powder Metallurgical Method and Effect of Cu Addition (분말야금법에 의한 $Ti_5SI_3$ 합성과 Cu 첨가의 영향)

  • 원소 분말을 합성하여 Ti5SI3 화합물을 합성하는 방법을 연구하였다. 합성법으로서는 기본적으로 반응소결법을 사용하였으며, 치밀화를 위하여는 유사-열간 정수압 성형법(PHIP, pseude-hot isostatic pressing)을 사용하였다. 반응소결법에서는 분말의 입도, 반응온도 및 유지시간이 소결밀도에 영향을 주었으며, PHIP법에 의한 치밀화에서는 압력 및 유지 간이 주요 변수로 사용되었다. 이들 변수중 미세한 입도와 유지시간이 기공을 감소시켰다. 또한 Cu의 첨가 영향을 연구하였는데, 약 6wt%이내의 Cu 첨가는 밀도 향상에 좋은 영향을 미쳤다. 반응소결 및 PHIP를 통해 Ti5SI3 -Cu의 상대밀도를 약 99%까지 높일 수 있었으며, 이때 Cu의 효과는 감도지수 부합됨을 확인하였다.

  • 최근 신재생에너지, 녹색성장분야의 연구는 미래 산업의 핵심 기술로 평가되고 있다. 특히나 태양전지 분야는 미래 대체 에너지 기술로써 크게 각광 받고 있으며 과거 실리콘 기반의 전력 생산용 태양전기 기술이 주가 되었지만 근래에는 모바일 기기의 보조 전력, 스마트 윈도우 등 다양한 산업에 적용 가능한 박막 태양전지 기술이 급속도로 발전을 하고 있다. 현재 박막 태양전지 기술은 아직까지도 산업화 기술에 근접하지 못하고 있지만 향후 5년이내에는 다양한 형태로 산업화가 이루어 질 것으로 예측하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 박막형 태양전지 중의 하나인 OPV태양전지의 산업화 적용을 위해 스프레이 공정 기술과 이를 이용하여 OPV 소자를 제작한 내용에 대해 기술했다.

  • Organic semiconductors based on vacuum-deposited films of fused-ring polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon have great potential to be utilized as an active layer for electronic and optoelectronic devices. We have fabricated organic thin film transistors(OTFTs) and discuss electrical characteristics of the devices. For the gate dielectric layer, OPTMER PC403 photoacryl(JSR Co.) was spin-coated and cured at 220$^{\circ}C$. Electrical characteristics of the device were investigated, where the photoacryl dielectric layer thickness and pentacene active layer thickness were about 0.6$\mu\textrm{m}$ and 800${\AA}$.

Optical and dielectric Properties of $TiO_2$ hybrid thin films by dry sol-gel processing (Dry Sol-Gel법에 의한 $TiO_2$ hybrid 박막의 광학특성 및 유전특성에 관한 연구)

  • The optical and dielectric properties of TiO$_2$ thin films prepared with mixtures of Epoxy, bits-(4, 4'-p-toluenesulfonylacidic isoproplylidene)-cyclohexadiol and UVI 6990 in dry sol-gel process were investigated. The absorption peak of the films was showed at 360nm. Photocurrent of the thin films doped with 50 wt% of TiO$_2$was higher than that of nondoped thin films. Energy gap was lowered from 3.6 to 3.3 eV with increasing amount of TiO$_2$. Relative dielectric constants of samples were 1.5 to 3 and showed a characteristics of lower dielectric materials.

다양한 리간드를 갖는 Europium Complex의 전기적 광학적 특성

  • Electroluminescent(EL) devices based on organic materials have been of great interest due to their possible applications for large-area flat-panel displays. They are attractive because of multicolor emission low operation voltage. In this study, several Eu complexes such as Eu(TPB)$_3$(Phen) and Eu(TPB)$_3$(Bpy) were synthesized and the photoluminescence(PL) and electroluminescence (EL) characteristics of their thin films were investigated by fabricating the devices having a structure of glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Europium-complexs/Alq$_3$/Al, where aromatic diamine(TPD) was used as an hole transporting and Alq$_3$ was used as an electron transporting materials. It was found that the photoluminescence(PL) and electroluminescence(EL) characteristics of these Europium complexes were dependent upon the ligands coordinated to Europium metal. Details on the explanation of electrical transport phenomena of the structure with I-V characteristics of the OLEDs using the trapped-charge-limited current(TCLC) model will be discussed.

The Properties of YMn$_3$ ceramics (YMn$_3$ 세라믹의 물리적 특성)

  • We measured the dielectric properties with YMnO$_3$ ceramics using solution method based procedure via by citrate. The crystalline phases were determined using XRD. Also we observed morphologies of YMnO$_3$ ceramics using SEM. We proved the structure of YMnO$_3$ ceramics which is hexagonal. But lots of pores were observed the microstructure. It would be considered as volatile organic. The maximum density of YMnO$_3$ ceramics is obtained sintering temperature 135$0^{\circ}C$ and the ratio 0.95/1.05 of Y/Mn. But even though the density we obtained is the highest, that is lower than theoretical density because of remaining organics by citric acid. Dielectric constant and dissipation factor were improved as increasing sintering temperature and the Y/Mn ratio (0.95/1.05)

  • The NO$_2$gas-detection characteristics were investigated using the functional organic Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films of Copper-tetra-tert-butylphthalocyanine(CuTBP). The optimum conditions for a film deposition were obtained through a study of $\pi$-A isotherms, and the deposited film status was confirmed by the ellipsometry measurements. It was found that at room temperature there are increments of electrical conductivities by 40 times, 25 seconds of response time and 40 seconds of response time when the films were exposed to the 200ppm NO$_2$gases. We hale observed an increase of the electrical conductivities as the density of NO2 gas increases.
