A Research on the Wheelchair Carrier for Disabled Driver (장애인 휠체어 캐리어에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the feasibility of a wheelchair carrier for the disabled own driver is checked kinematically to fit one of current domestic vans by drawings, design. A van with 9 passengers is selected for the modification to attach the wheelchair carrier and test the operation in real situation. The trajectory and motion process are studied to protect from the interception with outside body of van, and the conceptual design is proceeded kinematically. For the detail design, the stress analysis and driving mechanism with power supply must be studied and selected basically.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the potential domestic and international market conditions vehicles for people with disabilities through a review of the literature and internet resources, and to propose a road map developing South Korean vehicles for people with disabilities taking into consideration the current state of domestic and international technology and the usage of the vehicles for people with disabilities depending on the type of disability. The results of the study are as follows: First, vehicles for people with disabilities safety standards of South Korea do not meet the safety standards of developed countries and the technology of development related vehicles for people with disabilities is not as advanced as that of developed countries. Vehicles for people with disabilities installation methods, specifications, features and safety standards should be designed to be more similar to those of Japan and the United States. Second, vehicle modifications for people with disabilities will become more common as measures directed at promoting the welfare of people with disabilities, such as travel and transportation measures, employment opportunities, education, and funding for vehicle modifications, are implemented along with laws, such as The Americans with Disabilities Act, The British Disability Discrimination Act, and Japan's barrier-free transport law, that protect people with disabilities generally. Third, through a comparative analysis of domestic and international market conditions and demands of people with disabilities in vehicle modifications, important things to pay attention by purchasing a modified vehicle for people with disabilities are the employment rate for people with disabilities and monthly income. To enable this, government agencies and industry bodies should work together through the revision of the current Disability Welfare Act or the enactment of the special law for guiding principles of Disability Welfare Act. Through the future changes in vehicles for people with disabilities-related system or society of South Korean, the annual demand of the vehicles is expected to be more than 10,000.

  • Rolling stock is the method of railway transportation. Especially, in the subway system which has short headways particularly during the rush hours, even one train's trouble on the main line might influence the whole line. Accordingly, to prevent a train trouble on the main line, high expense is used for the maintenance parts, workforce and facilities, etc. according to the preventive maintenance program. Therefore, in designing a EMU, emphasis should be put on the minimization of trouble and its extending influence on the mainline with the priority of safety and reliability. Seoul subway line 5 is the line that complements the first stage Seoul subway(lines 1,2,3 and 4) and is built deeply with many curved sections causing lots of dust. Studies were made to find out the importance of car design, selection of specifications and continuous maintenance on the basis of the analysis and countermeasure of the line 5 EMU inverter trouble case.

  • It is a research study to look at the satisfaction of disabled persons are using a specific transportation system, and displays to see what effect the quality of life and the acceptance of disability. The survey of disabled persons in a moving vehicle assistance support Jeju vulnerable road users, using the final 81. Analysis, STS reason to use that vehicle wheelchair lift is the most common response, STS safety-related satisfaction was highest in the wheelchair. However, satisfaction of convenience associated with the use of the procedure was the lowest. The more stable satisfaction of STS is high, a positive impact on the quality of life(satisfaction and the food, clothing and housing)was confirmed. Therefore, in order to increase the satisfaction of STS and to improve the quality of life, it is necessary to improve the utilization procedures and safe operations and additional support of the wheelchair lift car to ensure rights of mobility.

  • For handicapped person who have a handicap in moving, vehicles are indispensible, especially in the viewpoint of handicapped person's participation for social life by rehabilitation, the freedom of movement equaling to nonnal person is a important factor for improving the quality in being complete growth.In the purposese of positively social participation of handicapped person, this study investigated the general problems about using a means of transportation in the users of wheelchair and for solving these problems and approached, in the viewpoint of styling, vehicles were considered from character of self-supporting in getting on and off a car. For that first, this study was progressed by suggesting invigorating convenience facilities in already established vehicles for the user of a wheelchair and the part of moulding of modified vehicles in a structure. Moreover, making a selection of domestic vehicles arbitrarily, analyzing a internal structure of a boarding of a wheelchair, and suggesting the modified model of vehicles by the sketch.

  • Inter-vehicular communication suffers from a variety of the problem on the road, resulting in large delay in propagating emergency warning. An energy depletion as well as a transmission delay may induced by traffic accident. A transmission delay are caused by direct contention from nodes that can hear each other or indirect contention from nodes that can not hear each other, but simultaneously transmit to the same destination. A variety of works have been researched to solve the transmission delay and energy consumption problem in intelligent cars transportation systems. We consider a vehicle-to-vehicle communication protocol for disseminating an emergency information that include end-to-end and energy efficient transmission. In this paper, we propose A vehicle-to-vehicle communication protocol scheme for dissemination emergency information in intelligent cars communication based on IEEE 802.15.3 wireless personal area networks. Results from a simulation study reveal that our scheme can achieves low latency in delivering emergency warnings, and efficiency in consuming energy in stressful road scenarios.

  • 본 논문은 차량의 번호판 인식 시스템을 구축할 목적으로 번호판 추출을 컬러 정보를 이용하여 구현하였다. 본 실험은 특히 번호판 추출에 많은 장애 요인, 즉, 흐린날, 늦은 오후에 촬영된 차량, 번호판과 같은 색상을 가지는 차량, 그늘진 곳에 주차된 차량 그리고, 운행중인 차량에 대해서도 실험 대상으로 하였다. 그리고, 본 논문에서는 빠른 번호판 검출을 위하여 부분 영역에 대한 특정 픽셀을 추출하였고, 변형 모폴로지와 레이블링의 반복 적용을 통하여 번호판을 검출하며, 후처리를 통하여 보다 정확한 영역을 재보정 한다.

  • Vehicles are used in daily life as convenient transport, it is important to authenticate driver because vehicles are controlled by driver. Especially, in these days, there is a discussion on introduction of Driving Under the Influence car-starting locking device installation for preventing accidents caused by Driving Under the Influence of alcohol, these car-starting locking device installation requires a lot of money and time. Suitable user authentication for solving user's inconvenience during the disabled and men of national merit to receive discount benefits is needed. In this paper, For solving these problems, we propose the efficient vehicle control and user authentication system for preventing driving under the influence and providing the disabled and men of national merit benefit based on driver authentication by using user's smartphone NFC communication and user's biometric information.
