장애인, 5년과 비교해 여전히 열악한 환경확인

  • 보건복지부가 지난해 7월부터 9월까지 전국 총4만 가구 및 1천여개 사회복지시설에 대해 방문 및 우편조사를 통해 실시한 장애인실태조사를 최근 밝혔다. 이 조사는 1980년부터 장애인복지법에 따라 5년마다 실시되는 것으로 2000년 실시 당시와 비교해 전반적으로 생활수준은 향상되었지만 비장애인과 비교해, 열악한 상태로 나타났다.

The Effect of the Public Pension and the Old-Age Preparation on the Life Satisfaction of the Elderly with Disabilities who have Paid Jobs: Focusing on Mediating Effects of Self-esteem (임금근로 고령 장애인의 공적 연금과 노후준비가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the public pension and the old-age preparation on the life satisfaction of the elderly with disabilities who have paid jobs, focusing on mediation effects of self-esteem. The data of "the 8th year Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled" of 2016 surveyed by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled was used. Among the 5,092 people with disabilities, who are 60 or older and who are employed for paid jobs, only 296 cases were finally selected and analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 Version. The results of this study are as follows: First, public pension is a factor that increases the life satisfaction of the population. The elderly with disabilities who have paid jobs and well prepared for the old-age are more likely to have higher life satisfaction. Second, self-esteem did not seem to mediate between public pension and life satisfaction. Third, self-esteem have proven to mediate between old-age preparation and life satisfaction. This study is meaningful in terms of finding mediating factors such as public pension, revitalization of old-age preparation and self-esteem as part of raising life satisfaction of the elderly with disabilities.

  • The aim of this study is to predict use behavior for social welfare service of the elderly mentally ill through means-end chain theory. Means-end chain theory explains cognitive structure related to the consumer's preference to various products and services. Although the elderly mentally ill begin to emerge as new client population, social welfare services for them do not seem to be enough in the community. Based on this awareness, this study tried to analyse service use behavior of the elderly mentally ill through means-end chain theory to develop new social welfare services. The data were collected from 15 elderly mentally ill and found 5 attributes, 10 consequences, and 11 values. Hierarchical Value Map was composed of 'disease management, rehabilitation preparation, hobby leisure ${\rightarrow}$ health maintenance, energy of life ${\rightarrow}$ social reintegration, life satisfaction, harmonious family life'. To activate the social service for the elderly mentally ill, it should be developed various programs such as disease management, rehabilitation preparation, hobby leisure for the elderly mentally ill. The ultimate value of these programs will be improve life satisfaction and integrated into society.

  • As the interests in social inclusion is increasing, researches on social inclusion in the welfare of the disability positively are being implemented lately. It is required to be the reconsideration on previous perspectives and suggestion of the necessity of a new concept for acquiring equal accessibility on rights and resources, etc as a citizenship. It is evaluated to be useful as the perspective or approach of social inclusion in suggestion of policies and practices tasks for enhancing quality of life of the disadvantaged including the disabled and for their participating fully in overall social scopes. Therefore, firstly on tried to make understanding in each concept, constituents, characteristic, usefulness and restriction, etc about both of social exclusion and inclusion fundamentally. On discusses how to conceptualize social inclusion of the disabled, and meanings in applying the concept or approach of social inclusion to welfare of the disability through the based mentioned results.

  • This study is designed to analyze the effect of the Job satisfaction which is composed of job itself, work place condition, reward, workload, social awareness by personal assistant for the Disabled on the service quality and to perceive the importance of job satisfaction of person assistance for the disabled, finding ways of enhancing job satisfaction in social welfare practice. For this purpose, total 218 personal assistants for the disabled'data were collected and analyzed. The results were personal assistant for the disabled'trait of sociology of population and general trait, job satisfaction, service quality, the correlation of job satisfaction and service quality, and the effect of job satisfaction on service quality. The results showed that personal assistant'job itself, reward, had a positive impact on service quality. On the basis of these results, significant practical implication are as follows; Firstly, there needs to be a expansion of education program for the job satisfaction of personal assistant for the disabled. Secondly, in relation to the reward of personal assistant for the disabled, the improvement of wage structure is requested.
