The research regarding employees' job satisfaction is one of the most important indicators of their vocational adjustment or outcome. The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of job satisfaction of South Korean masseurs with visual impairments and what variables predict to this. The work satisfaction model of Social Cognitive Career Theory (Lent Brown, 2006a) was grounded. a total of 221 South Korean masseurs with visual impairments participated in this study. Multiple regression analysis indicated that as masseurs in this study experienced having a better fit with their job regarding their monetary aspects, as they felt efficacious with their massage skills, as they felt more positive, and as they considered their job duties fit their education or skills they learned, their level of job satisfaction was higher. However, fit with their organization values or cultures or how much they get social support from their family, friends, or significant others did not predict their job satisfaction. In addition, the analysis supported the existence of a moderating effect of positive affect on the relationship between subjective fit and job satisfaction, in addition to the moderating effect of social support on the relationship between work related self-efficacy and job satisfaction among study participants. Implications for policy makers, researchers, and career counselors were also provided.

The research analyzes the factors that influence the job satisfaction of library volunteers for the disabled. Based on comparable literature review, this research extracts comprehensive factors that affect job satisfaction. The research found that job satisfaction depended on marital status, age, education and the channel that a volunteer went through to participate in assisting the disabled. Self-motivation also influenced the job satisfaction, but altruistic motivation did not. For environmental factors, compensation, prior experience, and roles did not influence the job satisfaction. For the factors related to the awareness of the value of volunteering, overall expectation and fitness of tasks were found to be passive with job satisfaction.

This study analyzed the effect of app characteristics of the handicapped library on user satisfaction and intention to reuse using the technology acceptance model. As a result, the app's accessibility, convenience, innovation, and reliability have a significant effect on perceived usefulness, and instant accessibility, accuracy, and interactivity have no significant effect. The characteristics of all apps were analyzed to have a significant effect on perceived ease of use. The regression model for perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness was statistically significant. It was found that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness had a positive effect on user satisfaction and satisfaction was intended to be reused.

This study focused on current status of Korean public library services for people with intellectual disabilities, as well as problems associated with managing the services, in order to suggest future directions for implementation. To analyze the current status, the researcher conducted a case study of current Korean public library services for people with intellectual disabilities. This research also conducted a focus group interview with librarians experienced in providing such services. The results show that the services are provided with the support of a community welfare center, in the form of a program over short periods of time. The librarians agreed on the appropriateness of the services but emphasized various difficulties associated with service management. Based on the results, we suggest possible points of consideration, including support for increased funding, more qualified personnel, adequate policies, and development of a model service for people with intellectual disabilities.

The purpose of this study was to explore the prerequisites for securing the convergence validity of qualifications and the development of a lifelong education support system for the disabled. The research method consisted of the procedure of collecting and analyzing previous research literature and conducting expert meetings. The content of this study is based on the limitations and reflection of the current promotion of the qualification system for lifelong education professionals for the disabled, establishing the academic foundation and concept system for lifelong education for the disabled, designing a career development path for the professional competency of developing and operating the lifelong education curriculum for the disabled. Also, Restructuring of related institutions based on the curriculum for lifelong education for the disabled, and enhancement of qualification types for nurturing professionals for lifelong education for the disabled were suggested. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the value and function of qualifications are very important in the comprehensive category of developing a lifelong education support system for persons with disabilities, and conclusively, the viewpoint of university foundation and the application model for nurturing professionals for lifelong education for persons with disabilities should be reviewed.

Auditory and language train for the hearing-impaired is an essential course improving conversational capability with non-deaf and accompanying the financial burden and the physical fatigue of parents or a teacher. To reduce these problems, web-based training contents have been developed. But these contents have been developed without consideration of individual difference such as various levels of residual hearing and the learning capability of hearing-impaired. Therefore, it is important that appropriate training progress for each hearing-impaired should be designed by evaluating and analyzing the personal status, residual hearing, learning capability and training achievement. This paper suggests auditory and language training service model for the hearing-impaired, which is planning and managing an auditory and learning training based on personal evaluation. In addition, this paper suggests a design method for a serious game content planing based on this service model.

This study aims to suggest ways to improve the dissemination of TV for the blind and deaf in the convergence environment of broadcasting and communication. As candidates for improvement of the project, it presents three alternatives: ①built-in set-top box in the TV, ②converting to a smart TV, and ③the development of specialized functions for the disabled in the set-top box. Through interviews with pay-TV and TV industry experts and disability experts, their opinions on each alternative were collected. To promote alternatives, this study suggests: collaboration between governments and companies, provision of incentives for participating companies, and revision related law and broadcasting technology standards.

This study aimed to introduce the main concepts of Supported Living(SL) model, very few of which have discussed in the context of S. Korea, explore the potential to employ SL model, and draw the implication for social welfare for people with developmental disabilities(DD) in S. Korea. For this purpose, this study presented the developmental background, main concepts, and principles of SL model, compared SL with supported housing and explained the features of SL model. Additionally, this study reviewed SL schemes in the UK and Australia to understand how SL schemes impact the lives of people with DD. Furthermore, this study addressed the contents of SL manuals used in the UK and Australia and identified the core aspects of SL practice. Based on the findings, this study highlighted the importance of SL as the conceptual model for independent living of people with DD and discussed the implication of SL model in S. Korea in terms of the national institution for people with DD, service agencies, and service users. This study focused on the SL model as a conceptual model for the independence of people with DD, potentials to employ SL model, and its implication for social welfare for people with disabilities in S. Korea. SL model and its application showed that SL model is effective and flexible in supporting the independent living of people with DD. Findings and implications regarding SL model could be the basis for the development of the Korean supported living system to improve the independent living of people with DD.

This study aims to develope participation scale of people with disabilities according to the International classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health(ICF). ICF includes a component for classifying and qualifying participation of individuals in the context of their environments. The participation scale were developed using 7 times with different focus groups using the ICIDH-2 as a contextual framework. Candidate 41 items were developed based on the 8 participation components and put into a survey format. Finally, purposeful sample of 363 people with mobility limitations was conducted survey. As a result of survey, participation scale is composed of 38 items that are placed in 7 domains used in the activity/participation component of the ICF: holisitc health; communication; mobility; domestic life; interpersonal interactions and relationships; social and economic life; civic life. This scale does not include the domains of learning and applying knowledge, general tasks and demands, recreation and leisure but more focuses on social and civic life.

시각장애인의 인구비율은 전체 장애인 인구의 약 10%로 적지 않은 비율을 차지한다. 이러한 시각장애인들에게 가장 위험한 요소는 주변의 물체들이다. 하지만 현재 제시되어 있는 안전 보조 장치(보도블록 등)는 시각 장애인들 스스로가 전방에 어떠한 물체가 있는지 인지하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝을 이용하여 위험물체에 대한 학습모델을 생성 한 뒤 햅틱 모션 및 음성 안내를 통하여 실시간으로 시각장애인이 위험상황을 인지할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.
