충청남도 북서단에 위치한 태안군. 많은 이들은 아직도 이곳을 대규모 기름유출 사고가 난 장소로 기억하고 있는 것이 사실이다. 하지만 이런 인식은 조만간 불식될 것으로 전망된다. 태안에 38MW급 석탄가스화복합발전기(IGCC)와 1000MW급 석탄 화력발전기(2기)가 각각 2015년과 2016년에 준공될 예정이기 때문이다. 즉, 기존의 발전설비까지 포함하면 태안은 그야말로 국내 최대 에너지 클러스터로서 확고한 명성을 쌓게 되는 것이다. 이에 이 사업을 진두지휘하고 있는 한국서부발전(주) 태안건설본부는 무엇보다 안전을 경영의 중심에 두고 있다. 대규모 국가기반시설 건설현장인 만큼 그 어떤 가치보다 안전이 우선시 돼야 한다는 확고한 신념을 갖고 있는 것이다. 태안건설본부에서 어떤 안전관리를 전개하고 있는지 찾아가 봤다.

라이프 스타일의 변화에 따라 게임을 즐기는 장소, 방법의 변화를 가지고 오면서 핸드폰으로 서비스되는 모바일 게임의 등장과 온라인 게임의 빠른 확산으로 인해 많은 게임 개발업체에서 온라인 게임의 시장성을 인식하여 개발을 진행하고 있어 새로운 컨텐츠의 전환이 필요한 시점이다. 2002년 게임 개발 장르의 조사에 따르면 액션게임(39％), 롤플레잉 게임(31％)이 많은 비중을 차지하고 에듀테인먼트 게임에 대한 개발 비중이 상대적으로 적은 편이다. 따라서 틈새시장을 공격하는 에듀테인먼트 게임의 개발에 대한 컨텐츠 연구가 필요하다. 그래서 본 연구는 온라인 게임의 사례를 통해 게임의 그래픽 요소, 게임 내용 요소, 교육적 요소를 분석하여 에듀테인먼트 기반의 온라인 게임에 대한 현황을 분석하였다.

Due to recent development in wireless communication technologies and mobile information devices, the services on ubiquitous computing technology without time and place restriction have been spotlighted. Moreover, the interest of the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and context-awareness technologies have largely been escalating and their technologies utilization is active in the various applications such as healthcare, farm management and so on. However, the direct adaption of the existing context-awareness technique to the WSN technology has several drawbacks as follows. First, such systems waste precious energy of sensor nodes, due to unnecessary data transmissions. Secondly, since the existing work was designed to support only specific applications, it is required to implement a new context-awareness application for a specific purpose. Therefore, we, in this paper, propose a new real-time monitoring system based on context-awareness in WSNs. Our system not only enhances energy efficiency by reducing data transmissions by doing context-awareness on a sensor node, but also is scalable in terms of supporting new context-awareness functionalities through modularization.

The major factor that disturbs practical use of speech recognition is distortion by the ambient and channel noises. Generally, the ambient noise drops the performance and restricts places to use. DSR (Distributed Speech Recognition) based speech recognition also has this problem. Various noise cancelling algorithms are applied to solve this problem, but loss of spectrum and remaining noise by incorrect noise estimation at low SNR environments cause drop of recognition rate. This paper proposes methods for speech enhancement. This method uses MMSE-STSA for noise cancelling and ideal binary mask to compensate damaged spectrum. According to experiments at noisy environment (SNR 15 dB ~ 0 dB), the proposed methods showed better spectral results and recognition performance.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is a difference in the awareness of death based on happiness (since attitude or way of life differs among the general public, depending on the perception of death), and to investigate whether there is a difference in the interest in hospices between a group with a high happiness index and a group with a low happiness index. A survey was conducted on 200 men and women aged over 20 who participated in a walking event held in a metropolitan city on April 22, 2017. The survey consisted of eight demographic items: gender, age, education, occupation, marital status, family cohabitation, religion, and health status. It included 29 questions regarding happiness and nine questions regarding the perception of death. For the statistical tests, a chi-square test, an independent sample t-test, correlation analysis, and canonical correlation analysis were performed on the items of the survey based on a happiness index. The results of the study showed that, for a suitable place for death, medical institutions was the highest score (46.3%) for the group with a low happiness index, and own house was highest (59.4%) for the group with a high happiness index. This was a significant difference. It is thought that management systems should be supplemented by professional manpower, educating people so as to increase the utilization rates of home-based hospice as a way for patients to die in a comfortable and familiar place because, for Korea, death is much more common in hospitals. It is also necessary to increase the awareness of death and to make effective use of hospices through individual and various other approaches, considering the demographics of the subjects.

The purpose of this study was to conduct an empirical survey on consumer perception and consumption behavior in relation to local food and eco-friendly food. The survey was conducted using 266 consumers who have heard about or purchased local foods and eco-friendly foods centering on Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS (Version 23.0) to generate descriptive statistical values such as frequency and percentage and implement a Chi-square test. The results showed that consumers purchased local food in large shopping malls, supermarkets, and local food stores, whereas eco-friendly food were usually bought in large shopping malls, supermarkets, and eco-friendly food specialty stores. For local food, consumers bought fruits the most, followed by vegetables, whereas for eco-friendly food, consumers purchased vegetables the most, followed by fruits. The top reason for purchasing local food was its "fresh and high quality," whereas the top reason for buying eco-friendly food was "safety from pesticides and additives." According to results of the Chi-square test, women, unmarried people and younger people turned out to have more experiences in purchasing local foods and eco-friendly foods compared to men, married people and older people, respectively. Although local and eco-friendly food were completely different concepts, results of the study show that consumers were not able to make a clear distinction between the two. Consumer education, therefore, should involve defining the two types of food and spreading awareness on local and organic food to help them made the right choices when buying food.

A school library is where students develop their skills to cope with future uncertainty and can utilize various information materials to build their capability and response abilities to changes. Teachers' perception is crucial as their guidance is essential for the student to use the school library. Most studies, however, focused on quantitative measurement of the importance of the teachers' perception as an external environment, and there is a lack of specific categorization of different types of perceptions on the role of the school library. This study aims to examine types of perceptions about the school library among elementary school teachers. To do so, this study used Latent Profile Analysis (LPA), a person-centered approach, to identify teachers' complex perceptions about the role and importance of the school library, which were difficult to review in previous studies, and the teachers' most representative types of perceptions. Based on the findings from the above, this study is meaningful in proposing customized measures to operate and promote the school library depending on teachers' perceptions.

기존의 상황 인식 서비스 인프라에서는 리소스에 대한 접근 권한을 사용자의 기본 인증으로만 접근을 허용하였다. 그러나 주변 상황 정보가 빈번하게 바뀌는 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 사용자의 권한이 주변 상황에 따라 달라질 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 상황 정보가 변경되는 경우에 따라 리소스에 대한 접근을 제어하고자 한다. 접근 제어 기법으로는 기존의 CASA에서의 상황 정보에 적용되는 요소인 사용자의 주위 환경 정보에 몇몇 상황 정보를 더 추가하여 리소스에 대한 접근을 사용자의 주변 환경 정보에 따라 제어하고자 한다. 기존의 CASA에서의 상황 정보에 서비스를 받고 있는 장소의 주위 환경 정보를 추가하였고, 권한을 가진 사용자에게도 여러 상황 정보에 따라 리소스 접근을 통제한다.
