The present. study analyzes the formative languages in works adopting the De paysementtechnique in contemporary art centering on surrealism and is concerned about the methodology of this technique in integrating image compositions. The Depaysement technique widely adopted in many art works up to the contemporary art since the end of expressionism were dassified into seven methodologies for analysis. The results indicate that the Depaysement technique presents a distinctive methodology of creation to represent the inner spiritual qualities. Therefore, it is expected that further studies on expression of this Depaysement technique will be of great help in expanding ideas in Art in the future.

과거부터 사람들은 달을 인지해왔으며, 인류는 지속적으로 달을 관찰하고 탐구를 멈추지 않았다. 지역문화와 민족문화가 다르기 때문에 달의 이미지에 관한 다른 이해를 바탕으로 미술, 건축, 종교 등에 반영되어 왔다. 영화기술의 발전과 더불어 다양한 영상콘텐츠에도 달이 등장해왔다. 하지만 달에 대한 상징성 연구가 미흡하여 영상콘텐츠에서의 달 이미지 활용에 어려움이 있어왔다. 때문에 본 연구를 통해 영상콘텐츠에서 표현된 달 이미지를 연구하여 달의 의미를 분석하고 표현 방법에 대한 전문성을 높이고자 한다. 연구방법은 첫째, 지역 및 문화별 달의 의미를 제시한다. 둘째, 달과 여성의 이미지 사이의 관계를 이론적 배경으로 제시한다. 셋째, 달의 여성상징적 의미에 관한 영상콘텐츠 작품 사례를 분석하였다. 연구결과 동서양 신화에 등장하는 달의 여성상징은 영상콘텐츠에서 등장인물의 이름과 디자인의 활용 등이 주를 이루었다. 본 연구를 통해 달에 대한 상징에 대한 동서양의 특징을 도출하고, 향후 영상콘텐츠 작품 창작에 활용되기를 기대한다.

This paper employs entitymetrics analysis on the research works of Dong-ju Yun. He was a Korean poet who was studied by many researchers on his works, religion and life. We collected 1,076 papers about Dong-ju Yun and conducted various approaches including co-author citation analysis, topic modeling analysis to identify the topic trend in the study of Dong-ju Yun. Also we extracted entities like person's name and literature's title from abstract to examine the relationship among them. The result of this paper enables us to objectively identify the topic trend and infer implicit relationships between key concept associated with Dong-ju Yun based on text data. Moreover, we observed sub-research topics such as life, poem, aesthetic existence, comparative literature, literary translation, and religious beliefs. This paper shows how entitymetrics can be utilized to study intellectual structures in the humanities.

Specially, the character in the kids animation is the fundamental visual element, and also has the high value which is to connect to various related businesses. The main purpose of this study is the analysis for character's appearance by the basic plane figure, and it has studied on the authority of recognition capability which is to catch the simple shape rapidly and clearly rather than complex shape. For this study, I established the standard of analysis and then applied that to the characters which were selected in broadcasting domestic kids animation on EBS. Through this procedure, I analyzed character's appearance with the distribution chart. As the result, the circular and oval shapes are the most frequently used shapes for character's appearance. Finally, I expect the result of this study could be one of the design index for the character creation in practical environment.

Measuring the intangible asset has been vigorously studied for its importance. Especially, the value of character in media industry is difficult to quantitatively evaluate in spite of the industry's rapid growth. Recently, the Social Network Analysis (i.e., SNA) has been actively applied to understand human usage patterns in a media field. By using SNA methodology, this study attempts to investigate how the character network characteristics of media works are linked to human search behaviors. Our analysis reveals the positive correlation and causality between character network centralities and character search data. This result implies that the character network can be used as a clue for the valuation of character assets.

A photograph used in a film poster summarizes the story of the film that lasts for around two hours. The image must contain a picture that represents the story and text including the title, with various design elements composed in a harmonious way. However, given that a photograph is the most noticeable element in a film poster, this study aims to examine the function, role, and types of a film poster and analyze poster photographs. Currently, there are companies specialized in photography for film posters, but sometimes recognized photographers are commissioned to take a photograph that will be used for a film poster. Hein-kuhn Oh actively produced such photographs in the early and mid-2000s, and this study deals with 'how the photographs recreate the content of the films' focused on three selected photographs taken by him. Also, There were commonalities found between the tree photographs and Oh's personal portrait photographs, which were then analyzed from the photographic aesthetic point of view. In the time of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we endlessly cross between the virtual and the real in our daily routine. Information saving method has changed from physical to virtual and the contents of a digital device can be a method of showing one's identity. A digital device can be seen as a virtual version of a 'wuderkammer'. With this perspective, this study focuses on the changes that has occurred in our daily interaction, the process of thinking, perceiving, and understanding in the time of 'digital wunderkammer'. In order to discuss this matter, this study looks at the two art work series - 'Universal Addressability of Dumb Things' and 'UniAddDumThs' - by a British artist, Mark Leckey and analyzes the digital environment of today, its visual expression, and the characteristic of 'digital wunderkammer' reflected in his art works. Through this study, we hope that the readers can understand the paradigm shift of today and expand the creative possibilities in this new era of digital revolution.

A computational color palette extraction model is introduced to describe paint brush objectively and efficiently. In this model, a color palette is defined as a minimum set of colors in which a painting can be displayed within error allowance and extracted by the two step processing of color grouping and major color extraction. The color grouping controls the resolution of colors adaptively and produces a basic color set of given painting images. The final palette is obtained from the basic color set by applying weighted k-means clustering algorithm. The extracted palettes from several famous painters are displayed in a 3-D color space to show the distinctive palette styles using RGB and CIE LAB color models individually. And the two experiments of painter classification and color transform of photographic image has been done to check the performance of the proposed method. The results shows the possibility that the proposed palette model can be a computational color analysis metric to describe the paint brush, and can be a color transform tool for computer graphics.

In the history of photograph, after the development of color photographs, those with multiple colors and high definition has gradually become the mainstream works in the field of photography. In the modern society of China that has been through reform and opening up, people's minds were increasingly liberated to widely accept color photos in terms of photography. Furthermore, the broad penetration of digital photography has brought together a new trend in the field of black-and-white photography. In line with this trend, more black-and-white photographs have appeared which are different from existing ones in the film-based period. In this recognition, the study seeks to compare the black-and-white documentary photograph works of Chinese photographers and analyze the modern Chinese black-and-white photographs.
