Quantitative Evaluation Indicators for the City Bus Route Network (시내버스노선체계 평가를 위한 정량적 지표의 설정 및 적용)

  • A balanced evaluation system for a bus route network was proposed for a mid-sized suburban city. The evaluation system consists of 7 criteria-accessibility, riding comfort. transfer rate, directness of route, productivity of operation, regional equity, and minimum requirement of bus fleet - and quantitative indicators representing each of the criteria. The proposed system was applied in Siheung, a suburban city in Seoul Metropolitan Area. Four alternative scenarios of bus route network including the existing one were evaluated. The results showed that the suggested criteria and indicators are acceptable for the evaluation of a bus route network. In order to enhance the proposed evaluation procedure, further studies on the normalization of produced values and weights for each of the indicators are needed.

  • 셀 생산방식에서 생산시스템은 생산셀로 나누어 지기 때문에 셀 스케줄링 문제의 범위는 일반적인 스케줄링 문제에서 작은 셀들의 스케줄링 문제로 줄어든다. 각각의 생산셀의 경우에서는 부품과 머신들의 수가 일반적인 경우보다 훨씬 줄어든다. 본 논문은 생산셀에서의 작업순서를 결정하기 위해 exchange-heuristic 알고리즘을 사용한다. 셀 스케줄링 문제에 exchange-heuristic 알고리즘의 전과정들이 적용된다. 셀 exchange-heuristic에서의 성능은 두가지 경우, 즉, 두 기계 머신인 경우와 다 머신인 경우에 대하여 분석된다. 이때, 셀 exchange-heuristic 문제는 일괄처리 작업방식으로 하며, 성능지표는 생산기간의 단축으로 한다.

  • PPC stands for the percentage of weekly assignments completed. It makes it possible to improve the performance of production planning and control systems. Recently, the cases of PPC application have been increasing because PPC is easy to apply to construction site. However, to evaluate the average of PPC or analyze PPC as time passes has some problem ; if PPC is the same, the average it is evaluated equally although there are variabilities in production system. Therefore, In order to evaluate the character of PPC in process of production this paper suggests the method of the evaluating PPC by using coefficient of variability besides PPC measurement.

Development of Forest Thinning Evaluation Factors using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP를 이용한 숲가꾸기 사업종별 평가지표 중요도 산정)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify and prioritize the key indicators and drivers of forest thinning. The research for this study was designed in two-phases: 1) sequential, exploratory, mixed methods research that was initiated with a qualitative phase (Delphi technique), and 2) the quantitative phase (Analytic Hierarchy Process technique). Results indicated that management and planning were the most important factors in the first level of criteria among the "management and planning," "directing and monitoring," "supervision," and "quality of thinning work." On the sub-criteria level, "the quality of forest management planning" was indicated as the most important factor among the ten sub-criteria. Our results have shown that the developed forest thinning evaluation factors were a well-represented characteristic for a variety of forest thinning work in Korea.

Effects of Computerized Cognitive Training Program Using Artificial Intelligence Motion Capture on Cognitive Function, Depression, and Quality of Life in Older Adults With Mild Cognitive Impairment During COVID-19: Pilot Study (인공지능 동작 인식을 활용한 전산화인지훈련이 코로나-19 기간 동안 경도 인지장애 고령자의 인지 기능, 우울, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 예비 연구)

  • Objective : We investigated the efficacy of an artificial intelligence computerized cognitive training program using motion capture to identify changes in cognition, depression, and quality of life in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Methods : A total of seven older adults (experimental group = 4, control group = 3) participated in this study. During the COVID-19 period from October to December 2021, we used a program, "MOOVE Brain", that we had developed. The experimental group performed the program 30 minutes 3×/week for 1 month. We analyzed patients scores from the Korean version of the Mini-Mental State Examination-2, the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Packet for Daily Life Evaluation, the short form Geriatric Depression Scale, and Geriatric Quality of Life Scale. Results : We observed positive changes in the mean scores of the Stroop Color Test (attention), Stroop Color/Word Test (executive function), SGDS-K (depression), and GQOL (QoL). However, these changes did not reach statistical significance for each variable. Conclusion : The study results from "MOOVE Brain" can help address cognitive and psychosocial issues in isolated patients with MCI during the COVID-19 pandemic or those unable to access in-person medical services.

A Study on the Development of Assessment Indices about Greening Performance of Datacenter (데이터센터의 그린화 성능 평가지표 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study deals with the assessment indices about greening performance of datacenter. To do this, we survey existing standards and guidelines about datacenter. Those are used constructing new model of datacenter regarding greening performance. In this model, the relationship between major components will be represented by job-energy-thermal notation. Items, criteria and methods are created in order to complete the assessment indices. The existing assessment indices of the datacenter level and equipment level are investigated. Parameters, the degree of virtualization and energy efficiency also affects the performance of the green performance. Finally, to determine the improvements, the proposed indices is compared with the existing assessment tools.

  • According to the recent survey, it was reported that the public libraries in Korea had seldom conducted the measurement and evaluation of the public library performance. This study, therefore. has investigated the wide range of existing literature on performance measurement and analyzed the different approaches to the problem of measuring public library performance. The performance indicators suggested in this study are 62 indicators and fall into five domains, such as materials, staff resources, user services, facilities, budget and management. Besides, some indicators are suggested to be used in cases where a more detailed examination is required - usually when measuring the performance of an individual library.

Interpretation of Subsurface Fracture Characteristics by Fracture Mapping and Geophysical Loggings (단열조사 및 물리검층을 통한 지표 하 단열특성 해석)

  • As a preliminary study to establish fracture network model in crystalline rocks, detail investigation on fracture characteristics were performed. Five fracture sets were determined on the basis of regional survey of geological structures and fractures on outcrops. Among the fracture sets, S1 set has the highest density and longest trace length of fractures which was identified on surface in the study area. S4 and S5 sets are composed of foliations and foliation parallel shear joints of gneisses, which are very important sets at the aspect of weighting of fracture length. For characterization of subsurface fractures, detail core logging was performed to identify fractures and fracture zones from five boreholes. Acoustic televiewer logging and borehole geophysical loggings produced images, orientations and geophysical properties of fractures which intersect with boreholes. According to the result of the investigations, subsurface fractures can be grouped as three preferred orientations(B1, B2 and B3), which correspond to S1, S2 and S4/S5 of surface fracture sets, respectively. Actually, B1 set is expected to be intensely developed at subsurface. However, it has low frequency of intersection with boreholes due to its parallel or sub-parallel direction to boreholes. According to the inference of conductive fractures, B1 and B3 sets have possibilities of water flow and their intersection lines are also thought to consist of important conduits of groundwater flow. In particular, faults which are parallel to foliations control major groundwater flow in the study area.

  • 최근 GPS의 이상 현상에 대한 대비 핀 독자 항법 시스템을 구축하기 위해 유럽의 갈릴레오 일본의 QZSS 등 세계 선진각국의 GPS에 독립적인 위성항법시스템을 구축하고 있으며 GPS의 백업 용도로 지상항법 시스템인 Loran의 현대화 작업 등이 진행되고 있다. 국내에서도 독자항법에 대한 필요성이 거론되었고 해양수산부는 해상 밀 국내 전 지역을 커버할 수 있는 신호 영역을 가진 DGPS 신호의 대체항법 및 시각동기 인프라로서의 활용성에 대해 정책적으로 접근하고 있다. GPS 보정 정보를 방송하는 DGPS 비콘 신호는 중파 대역으로 지표를 따라 전파되는 특성이 있다. 지표를 따라 전파되는 지표파는 지형의 전도율과 고도에 의해 전파의 전파시 추가 지연이 발생하고 이 추가 지연은 항법 린 시각동기에 오차를 유발하게 된다. 본 논문은 DGPS 신호가 지형의 특성에 따라 지연되는 전파 특성 및 전파지연모델을 소개하고 해당 전파지연모델 구현 결과를 기존 연구결과와 비교$\cdot$검증하여 그 결과를 제시한다.

A Study of the Evaluation Indicators in Korean Public Libraries (우리나라 공공도서관에 대한 평가지표 연구)

  • This study is a nationwide survey of Korean public libraries to identify and analyze the usefulness of 69 evaluation indicators of a public library proposed by the authors in the previous paper. A random sample of respondents including library managers, librarians, and users rated the usefulness of each indicator in assessing the performance of a public library. The results of this study could be used as the basic data in the evaluation of public libraries by selecting appropriate indicators and giving weight on each indicator according to the specific evaluation purpose.
