The purpose of this study was to show the effect of Umnungchon and Hyolhae about acupuncture side effects. 6 cases of patients treated in Hankyoreh Oriental madical clinic of Daejeon from Dec 1 2005 to Apr 15 2006 were survey. The side effect of acupunctur therapy is called neddling-shock(Chim-hun) and it happ. ened at to nervers, hungry, fatigue patient's condition. The side effect of acupuncture is paraesthesia, hypersensitivity, hematoma etc. But it was not mentioned in Oriental medical literature written in Chinese. I used Umlungchon and heulhe for The side effect of acupuncture and This point were effective treatment of paraesthesia, hypersensitivity, hematoma by acupuncture.

This study was carried to identify whether acupuncture at several meridian points can affect the human anesthesia or not using the EEG mapping. We observe the change in the brain wave patterns obtained by electroencephalogram after acupuncture. 1. It is concluded that the pattern of resting computerized EEG map in intact human is normal and acupunctuation at determined meridian points induced lesser narrow field of alpha activity, more extensive field of ${\delta}$, ${\theta}$ activity, father resulted in marked shift to cerebrofrontal dominance in field of ${\delta}$, ${\theta}$ activity by t-SPM. 2. It seems likely that acupunctuation at experimental meridian points acts on slight anesthesia or hypnosis.

Objectives : The aim of this stuty is to investigate the effect of acupuncture at $Yanggn\bar{u}ngch'\check{o}n$ (G34) on the muscle fatigue. Methods : Subjects were asked to perform the elbow flexion and extension to induce the muscle fatigue. Sample group of 16 healthy subjects had acupuncture on $Yanggn\bar{u}ngch'\check{o}n$ (G34) during the resting time, while control group of 13 healthy subjects did not. Surface electromyography (sEMG) was measured after exercise and rest to record muscle fatigue. Results : Acupuncture at $Yanggn\bar{u}ngch'\check{o}n$ (G34) is effective for decreasing the muscle fatigue.

Objectives : This study was performed to understand the meaning of acupuncture at sea point in an sprain in orther to Yin Gi. Methods : We have researched some oriental books and articles about ankle sprains, Kyung Keun, acupuncture and five su point. And we investigated the meaning between the sea point and Yin Gi in acupuncture of an ankle sprain. Results & Conclusions : In other to Yin Gi, using the sea point in an ankle sprain, there are two meanings. One is decreasing pain through regulating UmYang, and the other is regulating the mobility of the ankle joint using Kyung Keun.

Objectives : The purpose of this report is to inform readers of the important aspects of about acupuncture and the process of Hwangjenaegyeong Yongchu. Methods : We researched the word 'acupuncture' through Hwangjenaegyeong Youngchu. We formed three categories according to the meanings of the key aspects of acupuncture in each sentence. Results : In Hwangjenaegyeong Youngchu, the meanings of the key aspects of acupuncture (刺鍼之要) are follows : 1. The key aspect of acupuncture(刺鍼之要) is to control Gi & Sin(調氣治神). 2. Before administering acupuncture, a doctor must know Meridian, acu-points, contraindication of nature, Bo-sa acupuncture(補瀉), Deug Gi(得氣), the role of the acupuncture needle(官鍼), the number of the needle, Gi & condition of patients, and pulse diagnosis. 3. For acupuncture, there are several things to be aware of : contraindication of acupuncture, deleteriousness of acupuncture, acu-points, and Bo-sa acupuncture(補瀉).

Effects of Wisoo and Baekwhe acupuncture on serum glucose and lipid composition were investigated in high fat diet induced diabetic rat. Plasma glucose, free fatty acids and $\Beta-lipoprotein$ concentration showed a high reduction in wisoo acupuncture group compared to those of control group, however the values of baekwhe acupuncture group showed no significantly different those of control group. Plasma triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol concentration showed a tendency to decrease in the wisoo acupuncture groups, however the values of baekwhe showed no significantly different those of control group. Total cholesterol concentration showed a high reduction in wisoo acupuncture groups and HDL-cholesterol concentration showed a high values in wisoo acupuncture group, however these values no significantly different in all treatment groups.

If a human is taken with a disease, the electric resistance of the diseased part is higher than the surrounding area. The inherent current of the human body does not flow well in the diseased part due to high electric resistance. In this paper, we simulated the process to calculate the exact time of electronic acupuncture suitable for patient's physical condition using fuzzy logic and inference. Moreover, In this paper, It utilizes fuzzy logic and fuzzy inference rule to estimate the proper treatment duration for each patient. Physical condition, related disease, and age effects are studied for electronic acupuncture.

Objective: This study is performed to evaluate the clinical effect of Gigong therapy by measuring YangDoRak on celiac sprue patients. Methods: Among the outpatients with celiac sprue who visited to Dagot Oriental Medical Clinic from 1 to 30, June 2003, we selected 31 persons. They were divided into two groups. One group was treated with acupuncture, cupping therapy added to Gigong therapy and the other was treated with the two formers. Before and after therapy, we measured YangDoRak from the two hands and two feet. We selected 15 persons without specific conditions as a control group. Results: Between the control and the Gigong therapy, there were significant difference of differences. Gigong therapy plays role in mitigation on celiac sprue. Conclusion: This Result indicated that Gigong therapy is to regulate and to do mitigation on celiac sprue.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the needling depth of five-phase acupoints and discuss the association with the depth of meridian qi. Methods : DongUiBoGam was used to determine the depth of five-phase acupoints. The depth of needling at 60 five-phase acupoints was compared between well, spring, stream, river, and sea acupoints. Results : The proximal part of the extremities had deeper needling depth than the distal part of the extremities. The targeted deqi sensation can be related to the needling depth. Conclusions : The depth of the meridian qi is related to the distinct patterns of needling depth of five-phase acupoints.

Objectives : To review the needling depth, therapeutic and adverse effects of intraperitoneal acupuncture and related acupoints. Methods : Studies and reports from the literature, Korean medical health insurance data and databases were searched and selected. Results : The depth of needle insertion for acupoints related to intraperitoneal acupuncture has been documented to range from 0.9 to 10.5 cm depending on the acupoints and literature. In studies of safe needling depth, the justice of safe needling depth varied from study to study, but was generally based on the peritoneum, and the depth varies by patient age, sex, body type, and weight. Clinical studies in China have shown good efficacy and no side effects of abdominal long needle acupuncture, but there have been case reports of adverse events following abdominal acupuncture. Conclusions : To ensure both therapeutic effectiveness and safety of intraperitoneal acupuncture, It is necessary to utilize the ultrasound in clinical practice and conduct related research.
