  • This study was conducted to verify the factors affecting self-esteem of the 50-69 aged with low income in single person households. The subjects were 233 single households in the 50-69 aged low income from the 2019 welfare panel data provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The dependent variable was defined as self-esteem, and independent variables were relationship satisfaction and life satisfaction. Data analysis was carried out by using SEM analysis, As a result, relationship satisfaction did not have a direct effect on self-esteem, with a low value (path coefficient =0.24). However, relationship satisfaction positively influenced life satisfaction (path coefficient =0.71), and life satisfaction positively influenced the self-esteem (path coefficient =0.46). Thus life satisfaction between relationship satisfaction and self-esteem had a mediator effect on self-esteem with 0.32 value. Therefore, establishing the strategy which supports poor single person households, policy makers should consider methods improving relationship satisfaction and life satisfaction.

The participants were 254 male and female undergraduate students, and the analyses were conducted using PASW 18.0. The results were as follows. Anxiety was confirmed to be a mediating variable between the academic contingencies of self-worth, self-esteem, and academic concealment. That is, the academic contingencies of self-worth and self-esteem had an effect on academic concealment through anxiety. On the other hand, the academic contingencies of self-worth had a positive effect on anxiety. On the other hand, self-esteem had a negative effect on anxiety. The need to develop education and counseling approaches as a special intervention is discussed. The approaches are meant to reduce the academic self-worth and anxiety. In addition, it is important to promote self-esteem in education and counseling. The limitations and implication for further study are suggested.

Second, safety had not any significant influence on older people's self-esteem and depression, while convenience had a significant positive influence on older people's self-esteem and it had a significant negative influence on their depression Third, older people's self-esteem had a significant positive influence on their quality of life, while older people's depression had a significant negative influence on their quality of life. Fourth, between safety and older people's quality of life, the indirect effects of older people's self-esteem and depression as mediating variables were not found. However, between convenience and older people's quality of life, the indirect effects of older people's self-esteem and depression as mediating variables were found. This study shows that various measures for convenience of housing environment need to be prepared to increase older people's quality of life and self-esteem and to lessen their depression.

  • In this study, we try to find out and analyze the results of reduced self-esteem and loss using text mining. Physical health is important, of course, but these days, mental health is considered more important. In order for the mind to be healthy, it is important to have self-esteem and self-confidence first. Self-esteem decreases, and if lost, it directly leads to depression. If depression is severe, the worst will lead to self-harm and suicide. However, more and more people are committing suicide these days because both ordinary people and entertainers cannot overcome depression. For this reason, the seriousness of depression and loss of self-esteem are also considered important and become an issue. Therefore, we want to collect data for a certain period of time through Naver, Instagram, and Twitter searches and extract the words of the data to anticipate and analyze the cause of loss of self-esteem, how serious the recent depression is, and what the consequences of loss of self-esteem are.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether self-differentiation mediates the relationship between adolescents' family functioning and self-esteem and to examine whether peer support and family conflicts had moderated mediating effects. For this purpose, 522 students from four high schools in Gyeonggi province were surveyed about their family functioning, self-differentiation, self-esteem, and peer support. The results were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and PROCESS. The mediating, modulating, and moderated mediating effects were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. First, correlation analysis showed that family functioning, self-differentiation, self-esteem, and peer support were significantly positively correlated. Second, the moderated mediating effects of peer support were as follows. First, self-differentiation had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem such that family functioning and self-differentiation were positively correlated and self-differentiation and self-esteem were positively correlated. Second, peer support had a moderating effect in the relationship between family functioning and self-differentiation that promoted self-differentiation. Thus, peer support affected family functioning and self-differentiation. Third, verifying the moderated mediating model of peer support by combining the mediation model of self-differentiation and the moderation model of peer support identified above showed that self-differentiation mediated the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem. Thus, family support affected self-differentiation and self-differentiation affected self-esteem. The significance of this study was as follows. First, it showed that self-differentiation significantly mediated the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem, clarifying the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem. Second, it showed that peer support moderated the relationship between family functioning and self-differentiation, identifying a mechanism that promotes self-differentiation. Third, it showed the mediation of self-differentiation of the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem depended on peer support.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the mediating effect of emotional dysregulation on the relationship between the specific domains of self-esteem and aggression. Three questionnaire were administered to 287 individuals and the multiple regression analyses and Baron and Kenny's hierarchical regression analyses were used. The result shows that social and objective ability and positive character had significant influence on aggression, while impulse control difficulties, lack of emotional clarity and limited access to emotion regulation strategies largely contributed to aggression. Moreover, emotional dysregulation functioned as a significant mediator variable for explaining the link between self-esteem and aggression. Impulse control difficulties have fully mediated positive personality and hostility, limited access to emotion regulation has partially mediated social and objective ability and hostility, respectively.
