  • Despite the recent depression of the construction industry, overseas plant market especially Middle East plant market is booming owing to the high oil price. Since many Middle Eastern countries are placing orders of big scale projects based on the high oil price, Korean EPC contractor are trying to get over the depression through theses plants. Presently, since the plant market is in prosperous condition in general, it is not hard to get overseas orders; however the original licenses that requirehigher technology and high added values are exclusive for advanced engineering companies which great difficulty is predicted for developing countries like us to join the crowd. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose establishment of material management system on the filed to gain optimized effect of material management in connection with procurement system that all the procurement related personals execute tasks in advanced level by systemizing the task operation within the knowledge and task ability in time for plant construction procurement as a method to strengthening the competitiveness of Korean companies.

  • The material lift-up and procurement management for high-rise buildings is complex and critical key to the success of projects. It has been hardly managed by the heuristic or rule-of-thumb techniques which are adapted in usual construction building sites. Especially in downtown high-rise residential building project sites, the limit of heuristic management techniques is critical. It has space constraint for materials loading and site transportation especially in finish work phases in which construction period diverse work trades struggle for their own material and manpower transportation. Hence, it is essential to adapt JIT(Just-In-Time) concept in these particular types of building construction project sites. According to the analysis of the case project sites, the communication and flow of relevant information regarding material lift-up and transportation in project sites is the key factor for successful performance. Therefore, this study analyzes the flow and site transportation of the key materials and provides the system, PLUTO(Procurement & Lift-Up for material Transport Optimizing system). This study also applies the system in the case site and verifies the model validation in actual project.

  • Purpose of this study is to suggest the directions for development of a transportation and procurement system for JIT management of curtain walls. First, this study looks over the concept of JIT, and grasps the characteristics of the material and the problems of logistics in the construction field through the field and literature survey. And then, it develops countermeasures for the problems and with this, it suggests the directions for development of a transportation and procurement system for JIT management.

  • The effective management of major construction resources is the key to the success in high-rise residential building construction projects. It is even more important and challenging as well especially in CBD(central business district) area under tight project duration since little leeway in interface between construction trades, severe constraints in staging n and heavy demands for lifting among construction resources. In order to meet high demands among major construction resources, highly effective construction resource management information system is required This research develops and provides a system which selects and disseminates these information from each phase of procurement transportation, lift-up and storage for major construction resources This research applies the Kanban system, well recognized material information system technique in automobile manufacturing industry, in concrete work processes. It develops concrete procurement information system utilizing VSM(Value Stream Mapping) and also applies the model in actual super-high rise residential building construction project in order to analyze the benefit of the research model.

  • There are many problems in management of high-rise building construction performed in downtown area due to limited spaces and equipments for increasing kinds and quantities of material. By these restrictions, problems such as increase of construction cost. delay of construction period, decrease of productivity, occurrence of accident are caused. Recently, studies on JIT concept have focused on construction materials as a solution for the problems. But, studies about finishing material are insufficient yet. Accordingly, this study suggests flowing of current material management, JIT management effect, and development direction of lifting-up and procurement system with Low-emissivity double Glazing, among of main finishing materials.

  • This study is for preparation a solution develop small suppliers. For this goal survey for the buyers, agents, supplier's situation and difficulties, policy and support systems. And After benchmark the other's countries, develop government policy, suppoet systems. As a results, the support must be made for public organization, small suppliers. The Response direction must be made for agents and private buyers. At the point of support systems, public organizations must implement the purchase systems and provide the verified informations of suppliers. And it's necessary to educate marketing and sales solutions. At the point of Response directions, it's necessary to make a standard for supply replaced MRO. And the beginning positioning directions of MRO-mall is needed to stress the differentials with private suppliers.

  • 생산일정계획 수립 시스템을 통하여 수립된 생산계획을 현장에서 실천하고자 할 때, 일반적으로 계획수립 후 얼마 지나지 않아 계획수립시 고려할 수 없었던 기계고장 또는 자재조달 지연, 작업 지체, 주문 취소 등과 같은 요인으로 생산일정을 계획대로 실천할 수 없는 경우가 발생한다. 이런 상황에서는 기존의 생산계획을 계속 실행할 수 없으므로 손쉽게 대처할 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 일정계획편집기를 이러한 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 대안으로 제시한다. 일정계획편집기를 GUI, 객체지향적 설계를 통해 구현하므로서 이상상황과 일정변동에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있다. GUI환경을 통해, 수립된 생산일정과 이상상황, 작업진척, 수행도 등을 화면에 Gantt 도표로 표시해 주어 현장 파악을 용이하게 하고 작업추가, 삭제, 작업시간 변경, 대체공정으로의 이동 등의 편집을 mouse와 icon을 이용, 편리하게 수행할 수 있다. 편집작업시 자동으로 생산일정의 타당성을 만족시켜 줄 수 있는 지능화를 위한 기초 단계로서 객체지향설계를 이용한 규칙기반 일정계획 편집기를 설계한다.

  • High-Tech 산업은 국제적인 경쟁력과 갈수록 짧아지는 제품의 Life-cycle로 인해 그 경쟁이 매우 치열해 지고 있다. 따라서. 변동되는 시장 상황에 맞추어 자재의 구매/조달, 연구 개발, 생산, 물류/배송, 판매, 및 고객에 대한 납기 약속 등을 신속하고 정확하게 처리하기 위해 전 세계적으로 SCM(Supply Chain Management)관점에서 APS(Advanced Planning and Scheduling)시스템을 사영하고 있다. 특히, 고객으로부터 주문량이 할당되면 주어진 자재와 공장의 생산능력 (capacity)을 계산하여 생산가능 유무 및 생산가능일을 알려주는 공장내의 생산 계획 및 스케줄링 방법은 현재는 물론 앞으로도 지속적으로 발전시켜야 될 부분으로서 그 중요성이 점점 확대되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 High-Tech 산업 중에서 전자 산업의 요구 사항을 분석하고, 이러한 요구 사항들을 해결하기 위래 세계적으로SCM 시장에서 가장 많은 경쟁력을 가지고 있는 i2 Technologies사의 생산 계획 및 스케줄링 툴인 Factory Planner를 사용한 사례를 제시한다.

Third-Party Financing Contracts Between Energy Users and Energy Saving Companies (비대칭정보하에서의 최적계약 도출 -에너지절약시장)

  • The process of obtaining third-party financing contacts was analyzed via a two-stage game model: a "signaling game" for the first stage,and a "principal-agent model" for the second stage. The two-stage game was solved by a process of backward induction. In the second stage game, the optimal effort level of the energy saving company (ESCO), the optimal compensation scheme of the energy user, and the optimal payoffs for both parties were derived for each subgame. The optimal solutions forthe different subgames were then compared with each other. Our main finding was that if there is some restriction on ESCO's revenue (e.g. a progressive sales tax) that causes ESCO's revenue toincrease at a decreasing rate, then the optimal sharing ratio is uniquely determined at a level of strictly less than one under a linear compensation scheme, i.e. a unique balance exists. Subgames have a unique equilibrium arrived at separately for each situation,. Within this equilibrium, energy users accept energy audit proposals from H-type ESCOs with high levels of technology, but reject proposals from L-type ESCOs with low levels of technology. While L-type ESCOs cannot attain profits in the third-party financing market, H-type ESCOS can pocket the price differential between L-type and H-type audit fees. Accordingly, revenues in an H-type ESCO equilibrium increase not only in line with the technology of the ESCO inquestion, but also faster than in an L-type equilibrium due to more advanced technology. At the same time, energy users receive some positive payoff by allowing ESCOs to perform third-party financing tasks within their existing energy system without incurring any extra costs.

  • The Lean Construction is adopted from Lean Principle of Manufacturing Industry in the early of 1990, that has been providing theoretical background and good practical implementation for maximizing customers' satisfaction and improving productivity through minimizing the waste factors in the construction operations. The Last Planner System(LPS), one of the elementary techniques of Lean Construction, aims for improving the work reliability and reducing variability by measuring and managing the daily or weekly performance for overcoming the weakness of recent complex schedule management tools such as Critical Path Method. This research is propose a framework for implementation of LPS conducted by owner in plant construction.
