Feed-through noise reduction technique for MEMS Gyroscope (MEMS Gyroscope를 위한 feed-through 노이즈 제거 기법)

  • MEMS 구조물은 ${\mu}m$단위의 크기로 만들어지므로 각속도계와 같이 정밀한 센서를 만들 때에는 노이즈 문제를 해결하지 않으면 신호를 측정할 수가 없다. MEMS 구조물의 미세한 진동에 의해 발생되는 수 pico-coulomb의 전하를 측정해야하므로 구동 신호가 검출 전극에서 Feed-through되어 나타나는 경우 그 크기가 구동에 의한 신호보다 100배 이상 크기 때문에 원하는 신호를 검출할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 Feed-through 현상에 의한 노이즈를 줄이기 위하여 Guard-ring을 이용한 blocking 방법과 dummy port를 이용한 canceling 방법을 고안하고 Feed-through reduction 회로를 설계, 제작, 실험하여 그 효과를 확인하였다. 그 결과 구동신호가 6Vpp, 30kHz일 때, -53.186dBm이었던 Feed-through 신호가 -77.107dBm으로 줄어드는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 노이즈를 제거하지 않은 경우 측정할 수 없었던 Q-factor를 Feed-through reduction 회로를 사용하여 측정한 결과 진공 패키징된 Si 기반 자이로스코프가 공진주파수 약 7.018kHz에서 Q-factor가 약 2500임을 확인하였다.

  • A simulation game represented the real world and situation as a video games, In the first time, this simulation game primarily applied to military practice areas and then it's applied areas were extended to strategy, flighting, racing, life areas. In this paper, we developed the driving simulator that operate the 3-axis sensor attached driver's handle which could forward/backward moving, control of direction, and transmit of gear in the virtual space. For more the realities of the situation and accuracy of the location and speed, we adopted the 3-axis sensing informations, Unreal engine4' and Blueprint.

  • 다양한 스마트 기기의 출현과 함께 정보보호를 위한 보다 강건한 사용자 인증 시스템에 대한 요구도 증대되고 있다. 하지만 스마트 기기별로 호환성을 유지하면서도 사용자 인증을 수행하기 위해서는 각 기기에서 공통적으로 제공되는 센서의 활용이 필요하며, 영상 기반 다중 생체 인식에 기반을 둔 사용자 인증 시스템은 이에 대한 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전통적으로 사용자 인증에 사용되고 있는 얼굴 인식과 더불어 영상 기반의 제스처 인식을 함께 사용함으로서 호환성을 유지하면서도 강건한 사용자 인증 시스템을 제안하였다. 그리고 제스처 인식 데이터베이스의 하나인 ChaLearn 데이터에 적용하여 인식 성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과 기존의 스마트 기기에서 가속도계, 자이로스코프 또는 터치 패널에 의한 제스처 인식이 아니라 영상 기반의 제스처 인식을 사용하여 호환성의 확보뿐만 아니라 사용자 인증 성능 또한 개선할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 사용자 행위 기반 인증 기술은 다른 인증 기술들에 비해서 인증의 인식률을 높이는데 많은 데이터의 장기간 추출이 필요하다. 본 논문은 터치 센서와 자이로스코프를 이용하여 그동안의 행위 기반 인증 연구에서 사용 되었던 행위 특정 데이터들 중에서 핵심적인 최소한의 데이터들만을 사용하였다. 측정한 데이터들의 검증에는 그간 사용자 행위 기반 인증 연구에서 이용되지 않고 문서 검색의 유사도 측정에 사용되었던 코사인 유사도를 사용하였다. 이를 통해 최소한의 특정 데이터와 기준이 되는 데이터의 코사인 유사도 비교 검증만을 통해서도 인증 범위에 적용되는 임계값을 조절하는 방식을 동해서 최초 EER 37.637%에서 최종 EER 1.897%의 높은 검증 성능을 증명하는데 성공하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose an improved method of plane tracking in developing AR games for smartphones using magnetic field sensor. The previous method based on ARCore is a VIO method using a mixture of SLAM and IMU of smartphones. The disadvantages of accelerometers and gyroscopes in IMUs cause errors in tracking the plane. We propose an improved method of planar tracking by adding the magnetic field sensor as well as the existing IMU sensors. Experimental results shows that our method reduces the error of the smartphone posture estimation.

  • In this study, we fabricated the semiconductor laser for optical sensor with 1.55${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$wavelength region. In order to suppress lasing oscillation and to reduce the reflectivity, the devices of bending type were designed and fabricated. Their output power were 1.6㎽ at a pulse drive current of 100㎃. When the fabricated device was applied to optical fiber gyroscope, the output power of optical fiber was 540㎻ at a CW drive current of 100㎃, the full width at half maximum spectral width was 53nm. And the random-walk coefficient was measured to be 2.5$\times$10­$^3$deg/√hr, the gyro output drift was also found to be 0.3 deg/hr. So we confirmed the possibility of application to use for light source of optical fiber gyroscope.

  • The interferometric fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs) are well known as sensors of rotation, which are based on Sagnac effect, and have been under development for a number of years to meet a wide range of performance requirements. This paper describes the development of open-loop FOG and digital signal processing techniques implemented on FPGA. Our primary goal was to obtain intermediate accuracy (pointing grade) with a good bias stability ($0.22^{\circ}/hr$) and scale factor stability, extremely low angle random walk ($0.07^{\circ}/\sqrt{hr}$) and significant cost savings by using a single mode fiber. A secondary goal is to design all digital FOG signal processing algorithms with which the SNR at the digital demodulator output is enhanced substantially due to processing gain. The CIC type of decimation block only requires adders and shift registers, low cost processors which has low computing power still can used in this all digital FOG processor.

  • With the development of digital technology and the increasing demand for learning how to improve one's ability to solve problems through play and participation interactions, a variety of edutainment game contents are being developed. The edutainment game contents developed until recently have received a large number of contents for intelligence development and transfer of knowledge such as Korean and English mathematics for children and children. Recently, there have been various researches on the necessity and effect of STEAM education that foster convergent science and technology talents with comprehensive thinking ability and scientific inquiry spirit through the fusion education method among the subjects including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, And there is a growing need for the development of a parish suitable for STEAM education. However, there is a lack of STEAM educational content development that incorporates the technology of creative convergence talent training to develop talented people who can think and solve problems by crossing various academic boundaries. Therefore, this study develops game contents for early childhood education by combining STEAM education which foster convergent science and technology talents with comprehensive thinking ability and scientific inquiry spirit. And we designed and implemented STEAM game contents for infant learning education which can induce the interest of children and have fun by using gyroscope sensor of smartphone.

  • Predicting the user's reaction to the game at the stage of developing the game is important because it is related to the popularity of the game. In this paper, we propose a system that can collect and analyze game user's biometric information in a non-invasive way. To this end, we developed a mouse with skin conductance, pressure, gyroscope, and accelerometer sensor using Arduino. In order to verify the usefulness of this system, the subject was experimented with playing the first person shooter game with this mouse. We analyzed the gameplay videos recorded during Blizzard's 'OverWatch' and the bio-information collected from various sensors in the mouse.

  • This paper proposes an app-based feeder that performs functions such as distributing food and measuring exercise amount and a wearable collar that measures activity level to manage pet obesity in modern society where the obesity rate of pets is increasing. The wearable collar measures the pet's activity level and suggests the appropriate amount of food based on the average daily activity level. We studied an app-based pet feeding system that can provide the appropriate amount of feed per day through an app to enable obesity management even in unexpected situations.
