  • 자율주행차에서 경로계획기법은 지도, 목적지 경로와 다른 정적/동적 장애물에 대한 예측 정보를 바탕으로, 안전하고, 합법적이며 효율적으로 차량을 조종하는 목표를 가진다. 고속도로 환경에서, 차량이 차선을 유지하고, 다른 차량들과 충돌을 회피하며, 더 느리게 움직이는 트래픽을 지나쳐 효율적이면서 안전한 경로를 생성하는 기법이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는, 시스템의 행위를 모델링하는 기법 중의 하나인 유한상태기계를 적용하였다. 시뮬레이터를 통해, 급가속/감속과, 충돌 없이, 차선을 유지/변경을 힐 수 있음을 보였다. 자율주행차의 고속도로 주행의 경우, 유한상태기계를 적용하여, 효율적이고 안전한 경로계획을 수행할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 GPS 기반의 자율주행 군사로봇에 사용된 각종 센서들의 융합(Sensor Fusion)에 대하여 다루고 있다. GPS 를 통한 자율주행의 경우 GPS 의 성능에 따라 정확도 차이는 있으나 특별한 지형지물 없이 로봇의 현재 위치를 파악할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 하지만 GPS 만 이용하여 자율주행 알고리즘을 구성하는 경우 로봇의 진행 방향을 특정하지 못한다는 문제점이 발생한다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 RTK GPS 와 Lidar, IMU 센서를 ROS 환경에서 Robot_Localization 과 EKF(Extended Kalman Filter)를 이용하여 융합하는 방법에 대하여 다루었다.

  • Recently 4th Industrial Revolution era has come up and autonomous vehicle gets a huge attention for its commercialization as well as development. To this end, many countries such as US, UK, Germany are looking into laws and policies related to autonomous vehicle making a new law system, laws, policies or at least modifying the existing ones. Korea is also facing commercialization and development of autonomous vehicle yet it's law system, laws and policies are far beyond comparing to those of advanced countries. This paper details current law system comparison of several countries providing differences and characteristics for the purpose of success of auto drive vehicle industry. On top of that we suggest a new law system, laws and policies and then provide directions as steps for mature implementation. In addition, we discuss how the new laws and policies can bring out successful commercialization as well as industrial success of autonomous vehicle at the points of consumers, vehicle makers, insurance companies, and government.

New attempt on the Autonomous Vehicles Act based on criminal responsibility (자율주행자동차 사고시 형사책임에 따른 '자율주행자동차의 운행과 책임에 관한 법률안' 시도)

  • Like the technological competition of each country around commercialization of Autonomous Vehicles(the rest is 'AV'), legalizations are also in a competition. However, in the midst of this competition, the Ethik-Kommission Automatisiertes und vernetztes Fahren of Germany has recently introduced 20 guidelines. This guideline is expected to serve as a milestone for future AV legislations. In this paper, I have formulated a new legislative proposal that will incorporate the main content presented by the Ethik-Kommission. The structure is largely divided into general rules of purpose and definition, chapter on types of AV and safety standards, registration and inspection, maintenance, licenses for AV, driver's obligations, insurance and accident responsibilities, roads and facilities, traffic system, and chapter on penalties. The commercialization of AV in Korea seems to be in a distant future, and it is possible to pretend that it is not necessary to prepare legal systems. But considering our reality, leading legislation may be necessary. In this paper, I have prepared individual legislative proposals based on the essential matters based on the criminal responsibility in case of AV car accidents. To assure the safety of AV, AV and mode of operation were defined for more clear interpretation and application of law, and basic safety standards for AV were presented. In addition, the obligation of insurance and the liability for damages were defined, and the possibility of immunity from the criminal responsibility was examined. Furthermore, I have examined the penalties for penalties such as hacking in order to secure the effectiveness of the Act. Based on these discussions, I have attempted the 'Autonomous Vehicles Act', which aims to provide a basis for new discussions to be held on the basis of various academic fields related to the operation of AV and related industries in the future. Although there may be a sense of unurgency in time, the automobile industry needs time to prepare for the regulation of the AV ahead of time. And a process of public debate is also needed for the ecosystem of healthy AV industry.

A Safety Analysis Based on Evaluation Indicators of Mixed Traffic Flow (혼합 교통류의 적정 평가지표 기반 안전성 분석)

  • This study analyzed the characteristics of mixed traffic flows with autonomous vehicles on highway weaving sections and assessed the safety of vehicle-following pairs based on surrogate safety indicators. The intelligent driver model (IDM) was utilized to emulate the driving behavior of autonomous vehicles, and the weaving sections were divided into lengths of 300 and 600 meters for analysis within a micro-traffic simulation (VISSIM). Although significant differences were found in the average speed, density, and headway between the two sections through t-test results, no significant differences were observed when comparing the number of conflicts per indicator and the vehicle-following pair. Four safety indicators were selected for the mixed traffic evaluation based on their ability to represent risk levels similar to those perceived by drivers. The safety analysis, based on the selected four indicators, determined that autonomous vehicles following other autonomous vehicles were the safest pairing. Future research should focus on integrating these indicators into a single comprehensive index for analysis.

  • IoT 연구과제와 관련하여 향후 비즈니스에서 가장 중요한 근거가 되는 IoT 플랫폼을 스마트홈, 자동차 등에서 기업과 제품개발 동향을 살펴 보았다. IoT 플랫폼은 크게 가정을 중심으로 하는 스마트 홈, 이동 공간을 넘어 새로운 생활 공간으로 확장이 가능한 자동차 공간, 제품의 제조, 배송 등이 모두 이루어지는 스마트 팩토리 등으로 나누어질 수 있다. 이중 스마트 홈과 관련해서는 가정 내의 가전기기의 융합과 통합의 중심이 되는 역할을 어떤 기기, 어떤 방식의 인터페이스가 주도권을 잡아 갈지는 관련 기업들에게는 사활을 건 승부처가 된다. 그런 면에서 금번 전시회에서 아마존의 알렉사는 매우 중요한 음성인식 기반의 인터페이스로 부각되었다. 특히 향후 가정의 중심 기기가 무엇이든지 그 기기를 통합하는 인터페이스로 다양한 제휴 제품을 아마존이 아닌 다른 업체들로 하여금 소개할 수 있게 함으로써 향후 매우 중요한 위치를 잡았다고 볼 수 있다. 자율주행차는 아직까지 플랫폼으로 연결할 만큼 주도적인 사물인터넷 인터페이스는 선보이지 않았지만, 역시 알렉사 등이 포드, 현대, 도요다 등을 통해 채택된 것을 볼 수 있었고, 그 밖에 헬쓰케어와 연계한 차별화를 통해 꽤하는 것들도 볼 수 있었다. 다만 자율주행차가 새로운 생활 공간으로 자리잡기까지는 자율주행차의 상용화가 이루어질2020년 이후까지는 기다려야 할 것으로 보인다.

Priority-based Multi-DNN scheduling framework for autonomous vehicles (자율주행차용 우선순위 기반 다중 DNN 모델 스케줄링 프레임워크)

  • With the recent development of deep learning technology, autonomous things technology is attracting attention, and DNNs are widely used in embedded systems such as drones and autonomous vehicles. Embedded systems that can perform large-scale operations and process multiple DNNs for high recognition accuracy without relying on the cloud are being released. DNNs with various levels of priority exist within these systems. DNNs related to the safety-critical applications of autonomous vehicles have the highest priority, and they must be handled first. In this paper, we propose a priority-based scheduling framework for DNNs when multiple DNNs are executed simultaneously. Even if a low-priority DNN is being executed first, a high-priority DNN can preempt it, guaranteeing the fast response characteristics of safety-critical applications of autonomous vehicles. As a result of checking through extensive experiments, the performance improved by up to 76.6% in the actual commercial board.

  • As 4th industrial revolution era has come, autonomous driving vehiecle gets its attention for commercialization and development and thus its impact on society. To this end, several countries such as US, England and Germany are preparing their own legal systems to come up with commercialization of autonomous driving vehiecle. In this country, Korea is also developing autonomous driving vehiecle and looking forward its commercialization yet the legal system of Korea lacks of laws, regulations, rules, guidelines and so on. Hence, it is our intention to look into Korean legal system providing the analysis of current Korean legal system in detail. This paper also provides further directions to have balance between commercialization success and risk management in this country and, as a result creates a small step toward 4th industrial revolution society.

  • Autonomous driving-related technologies are developing step by step by applying the degree of driving. It is essential that operational management technology for roads where autonomous vehicles move should also develop in line with autonomous driving technology. However, in the case of road operation management, it is currently managed using only two-dimensional information, showing limitations in the systematic operation management of lane and facility information and maintenance. This study proposed a plan to construct an operation management system architecture capable of 3D spatial information-based operation management by designing a convergence database that can process real-time big data with high-definition road map data. Through this study, when using a high-definition road map based operation management system for lane and facility maintenance in the future, it is possible to visualize and manage facilities, edit and analyze data of multiple users, link various GIS S/W and efficiently process large scale of real-time data.

  • 본 연구에서는 전동 차량의 자율주행 기능 구현을 위한 방법을 제시한다. 주요 구성 요소로는 카메라, PC, 아두이노, 모터드라이브, 가변저항 등이 사용되었다. 카메라를 통해 데이터를 수집한다. YOLOPv2 lane detection 딥러닝 모델을 사용하여 차선을 탐지하고, 후처리 과정을 통해 주행 경로를 정확히 인식한다. RANSAC 알고리즘을 활용하여 outlier 에 강건한 2 차 함수 회귀를 수행하고, 이를 바탕으로 주행 중 필요한 정보를 파악한다. 이러한 정보를 바탕으로 차량의 조향각을 조절하여 안전하고 효율적인 자율 주행을 구현하였다.
