The purpose of this study is to find the way to build the concept image about natural logarithm and the method is using definite integral in calculus under GeoGebra environment. When the students approach to natural logarithm, need to use dynamic program about the definite integral in calculus. Visible reasoning process through using dynamic program(GeoGebra) is the most important part that make the concept image to students. Also, for understand mathematical concept to students, using GeoGebra environment in dynamic program is not only useful but helpful method of teaching and studying. In this article, about graph of natural logarithm using the definite integral, to explore process of understand and to find special feature under GeoGebra environment. And it was obtained from a survey of undergraduate students of mathmatics. Also, relate to this process, examine an aspect of students, how understand about connection between natural logarithm and the definite integral, definition of natural logarithm and mathematical link of e. As a result, we found that undergraduate students of mathmatics can understand clearly more about the graph of natural logarithm using the definite integral when using GeoGebra environment. Futhermore, in process of handling the dynamic program that provide opportunity that to observe and analysis about process for problem solving and real concept of mathematics.

In order to improve the educational situation in which the natural number e and the natural logarithm are dealt with somewhat perfunctorily, this study explores the genetic process in which the natural logarithm and its base e occurred, and has an educational discussion based on that analysed process. Specifically, the study inquires into how the natural logarithm happened in relation to the quadrature of the hyperbolic curves through analysis and thought experimentation in mathematics history. Particularly, it sheds light on the role of e and the naturalness of the natural logarithm in terms of the introduction of the real number exponent. Also, this study discusses what the findings suggest educationally.

This paper studies an automatic expansion of dialogue examples using the logs of an example-based dialogue system. Conventional approaches to example-based dialogue system manually construct dialogue examples between humans and a Chatbot, which are labor intensive and time consuming. The proposed method automatically classifies natural utterance pairs and adds them into dialogue example database. Experimental results show that lexical, POS and modality features are useful for classifying natural utterance pairs, and prove that the dialogue examples can be automatically expanded using the logs of a dialogue system.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of the real number e and to investigate the understanding of pre-service teachers about the real number e. 28 pre-service teachers were asked to take a test based on the various ideas of the real number e and 8 pre-service teachers were interviewed. The results of this study are as follows. First, a large number of pre-service teachers couldn't recognize relation between the formal definition and the representations of the real number e. Secondly, pre-service teachers judged appropriately for the irrationality and the construction impossibility of the real number e, but they couldn't provide reasonable evidence. Lastly, pre-service teachers understood the continuous compounding context and exponential function context of the real number e, but they had a difficulty in understanding the geometric context and natural logarithm context of the real number e.

Shadow is a common phenomenon observed in natural scenes, but it has a negative influence on image analysis such as object recognition, feature detection and scene analysis. Therefore, the process of detecting and removing shadows included in digital images must be considered as a pre-processing process of image analysis. In this paper, the existing methods for acquiring 1D invariant images, one of the feature elements for detecting and removing shadows contained in a single natural image, are described, and a method for obtaining 1D invariant images based on linear regression has been proposed. The proposed method calculates the log of the band-ratio between each channel of the RGB color image, and obtains the grayscale image line by linear regression. The final 1D invariant images were obtained by projecting the log image of the band-ratio onto the estimated grayscale image line. Experimental results show that the proposed method has lower computational complexity than the existing projection method using entropy minimization, and shadow detection and removal based on 1D invariant images are performed effectively.

Extreme value distributions have often been used for the analysis (e.g., prediction of return level) of data which are observed from natural disaster. By the extreme value theory, the block maxima asymptotically follow the generalized extreme value distribution as sample size increases; however, this may not hold in a small sample case. For solving this problem, this paper proposes the use of a log-logistic (LLG) distribution whose validity is evaluated through goodness-of-fit test and model selection. The proposed method is illustrated with data from annual maximum earthquake magnitudes of China. Here, we present the predicted return level and confidence interval according to each return period using LLG distribution.

In this paper, I chose one of various agenda for life in a philosophical film world view and explored the core of dialectical relation between free will and responsibility. Freedom and responsibility, Existential and inferiority, etc, The conflict of humanity on the crisis of faith have been A comparative study based on the discussions of East Asian religious philosophy and Western philosophy. Including compare the three commonalities and differences with Jean Paul Sartre's 'subjectivity ideology due to the existence of free will' on existentialism in contemporary Western philosophy and The theory of the 'moral autonomy originating in the good will' of the Enlightenment philosopher Immanuel Kant and Concept of 'consciousness' of the life essence of Keiji Nishitani Based on the analysis of the film. In addition, the problem of free will in the viewpoint of nature, along with the individual's point of view, is comprehensively supplemented by the idea of the "nothingness" of the philosopher Zhuang Zhou. A selection of the Polish film Dekalog: Eight and make a basic conclusion of the final by argumentation and analysis as a case of the dialectical relation between the free will and responsibility.

This study is on the introduction of the natural logarithm by the quadrature of the hyperbola. In School mathematics curriculum, Logarithm is introduced formally. But in that introduction, students could't know the meaning of the natural logarithm and e well. Historically, natural logarithm is related to the quadrature of the hyperbola. So in this study we consider the introduction of the natural logarithm by the means of quadrature of the hyperbola and the significance of the introduction.

In this paper, we examine high school in order to know their ability for understanding about fundamental functions, such as polynomial, trigonometric, logarithm and exponential functions which have learned from high school. The result of this study shows as follows. More than half students are not able to draw shape of given functions, except polynomial. More students do not fully understand about function properties such as domain, codomain, range, maximum and minimum value.

Digital map is utilized for an effective display of the distributions of the hydrogeological variables such as water table height(hydraulic head) and log-transmissivity(lnT) in north Pohang, KyungBug. Specifically the geostatistical method kriging is used to construct the distributions in an unconfined aquifer from a finite set of measured data. The experimental variograms for both the head and lnT suggest spherical models with nugget of 0 and range of 6km. The kriged results by using these variograms show that the head decreases primarily from the west to the east with a large peak in the north-western part and lnT is at the maximum level in the central part with outwardly decreasing trend. The constructed delineation is also used to calculate the flow field in the region. Finite differences with second order consistency are used to calculate the fluxes in the east(x) and north(y) across a vertical cross-section of unit width and height equal to the thickness of the wet zone in the aquifer. It is demonstrated that the flow is dominantly in the east with diverging trend on the eastern hillside of the water table peak. A few convergent spots also appear.
