Using news big data analysis, this study was aimed to examine the suicide phenomena in Korean society, and to evaluate whether suicide prevention policies reflect social phenomena appropriately. For this purpose, 9,142 news titles with suicide as the keyword were collected from eight central newspapers between 2000 to 2018. Nouns were extracted, and data was refined for network analysis. The total period was divided into 4 periods based on the 1st and 2nd suicide prevention policies, and the characteristics of suicide phenomena in each period were identified through the top 50 frequent main words and the clusters. As a result, period 1 (2000~2003) with 6 clusters (military, internet environment, economic problems, pessimism, school, corruption), period 2 (2004~2008) with 8 clusters (high social class, school, economic problems, suicide attempts, family issues, social problems, military, responsibilities), period 3 (2009~2013) with 6 clusters (school, family issues, suicide attempts, occupation, military, investigation), and period 4 (2014~2018) with 8 clusters (military, suicide insurance money, family issues, suicide attempts, occupation, job stress, celebrity, corruption) were identified. Study results suggested the characteristics of suicide phenomena in our society. Further, the appropriateness of the implementation of suicide prevention policies was discussed.

Apoptosis is an important event in the anticancer drug therapy. p53 was demonstrated to serve a key component to lead tumor cell death by inducing apoptosis. However, recent study showed the presence of p53 independent apoptotic pathway (Gaftenhaus et al., 1996). We were curious to know it apoptosis induced by adriamycin, a genotoxic anticancer agent, involved p53 gene mutation. Thus this study investigated the p53 gene mutation status among HeLa cell population during apoptosis induced by adriamycin. Under our experimental condition, 12 hour treatment of 1 ${\mu}m$ adriamycin caused apoptosis which was monitored by DNA fragmentation assay. In order to see the p53 gene mutation status, exons of 5, 7 and 8 of p53 gene, where previously reported p53 mutation hot spots reside, were amplified by PCR and nucleotide sequence change was scanned. However, no nucleotide change was observed among apoptotic HeLa cell population. Therefore this study demonstrated that adriamycin induced apoptosis without causing p53 gene damage.

The aim of this study was to exploring the experiences of life amomg alcoholics who suicide attempts. The main question of this study is "what the meaning and essence of experiences of life amomg alcoholics with suicide attempts?" The qualitative research method was taken for widely understanding and lively writing experiences of life amomg alcoholics who suicide attempts in the connection of eheir lives. As results, 12 categories appeared from 5 themes as data analysis. The major themes could be analyzed as "Continuing a dark confines of the psychology, emotion", "encounter with worthless oneself of the loath to admit", "The trigger inciting to suicide", "The roots of the drinking and suicide -living with fate", "Holding up a string of life". Based on these results, the practical implications for the alcoholics with suicide attempts had been discussed.

본 연구의 목적은 후기 고령노인의 자살시도 경험의 의미와 본질을 탐구하여 이들의 경험에 대해 보다 심층적으로 이해하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 서울지역 ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$구에 거주하는 자살시도를 경험한 75세 이상 노인 6명을 연구참여자로 의도표집하여 심층면접을 실시하였다. 수집한 자료를 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. Giorgi가 제시한 4단계 분석 절차에 따라 자료를 분석한 결과 6개의 구성요소와 20개의 하위 구성요소가 도출되었다. 연구를 통해 후기 고령노인의 자살시도 경험의 4가지 구성요소는 <모진 세월의 회한; 죽도록 고생한 모진 인생, 조실부모와 가난의 대물림, 도무지 잊을 수 없는 자식들의 외면, 가족갈등에서 온 깊은 원망>, <절망적이며 처량한 신세; 경제력을 상실과 절망, 마음대로 죽을 수 없는 처절함, 차라리 죽고 싶은 죄책감>, <쓸모없는 무가치한 삶; 아무 쓸모없는 사람, 자녀들 및 신세지기 싫은 강박관념에 괴로움, 자살충동이 일어남>, <참을 수 없는 신체의 고통과 무기력: 죽음과 삶의 두려움, 우울증, 정신병, 치매, 무기력>, <의지할 곳 없는 외로움; 하루 종일 고립됨, 숨쉬고 있지만 마지 못해 살아감, 죽은 것처럼 살고 있는 나, 하루가 지루함>,<마지막 선택; 세상이 싫어 떠날 것임, 먼저 간 배우자 따라.., 아무것도 바라지 않음>으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 후기 고령노인의 자살시도 경험에 대한 의미와 본질을 논의하고 노인자살예방을 위한 실천 현장의 구체적 개입전략, 생명존중문화의 실질적인 대처 방안에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the deeper meaning of the experience to explore the essence of latter-aged elderly suicide attempt. To this end, by applying the technology of Giorgi phenomenology to focus on the nature of the experience was described reveal the structure of the developing. By targeting eight people aged 75 years and over in Seoul experience with suicide attempts, open the data was collected through in-depth interviews, participants were analyzed on the basis of the aforesaid materials result, late of suicide in elderly seniors experience semantics was putting down that long for the comfort at the crossroads of life. Analysis of six components were derived 'regrets the harsh years', 'desperate and pathetic beholden', 'useless worthless life', 'body of unbearable pain and lethargy', 'no place to lean loneliness', 'the last select'. Discuss these findings the suicide problem of latter-aged elderly suicide attempt, based on experience and in-depth, Elderly mental health and social welfare presented the practical implications for suicide prevention.

오늘날 자살은 현대사회의 심각한 사회현상으로 인식되고 있다. 자살에 대한 역사적 이해와 성경의 자살 이야기들을 간략하게 다룬 다음 자살의 원인을 살펴보게 될 것이다. 자살문제에 대한 해법을 제대로 찾기 위해 반드시 필요한 것은 그 원인이 무엇인지에 대한 올바른 이해가 선재되어야 하기 때문이다. 학자들의 견해는 대략적으로 생물학적 원인, 정신과적 원인, 그리고 사회학적 원인 세 부류로 나눠진다. 논자의 주요 논지는 자살을 이런 요인들이 복합적으로 작용한 결과로 발생한다는 것이다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 성경의 생명존중을 기초로 한 세 가지 사실을 제시한다. 첫째, 하나님의 형상으로 창조된 인간의 생명은 고귀하다. 둘째, 인간은 궁극적 의미에서 영원한 생명이라는 희망의 미래를 조망해야 할 존재이다. 셋째, 자살은 범죄행위라기보다는 치료가 필요한 질병이라는 인식의 확산이 필요하다.

Recently, the suicide rate problem in Korea is very serious. Local governments are pushing various policies to lower suicide rates. The purpose of this study is to assess the difference in the suicide rate among regions and to identify the trend of change by concentration index(CI). The major findings are as follows. First, county suicide rate was the highest in the last 20 years and the lowest in the city. The low suicide rate in urban areas continues. Second, suicide rates are increasing in all regions. But the gap between the district and the county was decreasing. The difference in suicide rates between urban and rural areas is decreasing. Third, the suicide rate concentration index was negative for all 20 years. Suicide rates in low-density farming and fishing villages. Fourth, the absolute value of the concentration index has been continuously decreasing for 20 years. The gap between suicide and rural areas is decreasing. Therefore, inter-regional suicide rate is estimated to be leveling up.

Korean society recently witnesses a rapid lllcrease of suicide across all ages. In particular, suicide in old ages jumps up ill a very unexpected way. Furthermore, the order of suicide in the cause of death across all ages is becoming higher and higher in Korea. This study provides details of suicide that occurs in Korean society with the comparison to that of Japan at the descriptive level. It is not well known why suicide in Korean surges recently. Several previous research show the possibility that surging suicide is closely related to the worsened economic conditions especially since the economic crisis in 1997. They adopt economic growth, unemployment rate, income distribution, household finance index as economic indicators in their research. This study also adopts those indicators and conducts a correlation analysis in two periods, 1990-1997 and 1998-2004. It is found that there is no correlation between economic indicators and suicide in the period of 1990-1997. On the other hand, there is a very strong correlation between income distribution and suicide in the period of 1998-2004. Other economic indicators except income distribution does not have any significant correlation with suicide. This finding suggests that currently increasing suicide in Korea may be a result of economic polarization, which has been worsened since the economic crisis in 1997.

The present study was to explore the suicide from the perspective of cultural psychology. The result was that: First, the main reason to commit the familial suicide in korea is due to cultural characteristic. Korean people does not think the relationship of parents and children is separate or independent. So, When they can not bring up their child, Korean parents commit the familial suicide. Second, many people commit suicide not individual problems but interpersonal problems. This result reveal that Korean people think relationship between the people is very important. Third, there art too many alcohol problem in korea. The reason is generous attitude about alcohol problem. Fourth, suicide of man due to economic problem on the other hand, women due to personal health problem. The reason of this is cultural characteristics of korea. In traditional Korean culture, the family responsibility rest with man and the household affairs responsibility rest with women. Also, it is suggested that further psychological researches must be performed in the serious consideration of the indigeneous characteristics of Korean culture.

최근 몇 년 사이 학교폭력의 피해학생들의 자살하는 사건들이 발생하였는데 이러한 자살사건들로 인하여 학교폭력에 대한 우리사회의 관심이 그 어느 때 보다 높다고 할 수 있다. 작년 한 해에는 대구에서 학교폭력 피해가 의심되는 이유로 투신자살한 이후 대전, 광주 등에서 자살하는 사건이 연속적으로 발생하였다. 학교폭력의 피해자들은 가해자들로부터의 벗어나고 싶은 심정으로 극단적인 선택을 하게 되는 것이다. 이러한 청소년 비행이나 청소년 범죄에 관련된 문제 중에서 학교폭력이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 수많은 연구에서 다루어지고 있으나 학교폭력에 대한 문제해결의 기미는 보이지 않고 있다. 이에 경찰청에서는 학교폭력 근절을 위한 특별 TF팀을 구성하여 "위해의 사전 예방 제거"에 중점을 둔 근절대책을 추진할 것을 논의하였다. 하지만 한정된 경찰인력만으로는 학교폭력 문제에만 집중할 수 없는 것이 현실정이다. 본 연구는 학교폭력에 대한 이론적 배경을 검토하고, 학교폭력의 현상과 예방프로그램, 학교폭력에 대한 가해 및 피해학생의 선도프로그램의 운영 방안에 대해 살펴보고, 그에 따른 경찰의 역할에 논하고자 한다.
