Toni Morrison's ninth novel A Mercy delves into the colonial American history of the seventeenth century when Europeans began to migrate to the New World and when the first slaves were brought to Virginia. Morrison presents a diverse group of people such as white Europeans, an American Indian, a free black man, indentured servants, and slaves from Africa in order to explore the subjects of ownership, freedom and racism. She emphasizes the fact that most of the Europeans who came to America in the early seventeenth century were the people who were thrown out from the society such as felons, prostitutes, servants and children. By portraying how these castaways tried to settle in a new environment surrounded by unknown dangers and challenges, Morrison demystifies and reconstructs the myth of the birth of America as a nation state. In continuation of Morrison's writings about love and the betrayal of love, her novel A Mercy explores the subjects of trauma, memory and subjectivity by choosing the topic of motherly love and its betrayal which she dealt with poignantly in Beloved. The female protagonist, Florens, is given away by her mother in partial payment of debt incurred by the owner of Florens's mother. The traumatic memory of Florens's separation from her mother shapes Florence's character. She has to revisit the site of the original traumatic experiences of being given up by her mother in order to reconstruct her fragmented memory and past. The recurring dream of the traumatic incident that takes hold of Florens can be explained by the trauma theory of Freud, Cathy Caruth, Suzette Henke, and Judith Herman. The paper explores the self journey of Florens in which she faces the traumatic past and comprehends its meaning which enables her to construct her subjectivity by understanding the true meaning of being free and of owning oneself. In particular, it demonstrates how the process of writing a confession, a story about one's history, enables one to reclaim the traumatic experience and to locate it in the narrative memory.

등온자비 AuCu에 2.4, 4.3, 6.1at% Zn이 첨가된 합금의 시효경화거동과 상변태를 조사하였다. AuCu l형이 단독으로 존재하는 경우는 경도가 시효초기에 급격히 상승한 후 저하하였고, Zn 첨가량의 증가에 따라 규칙-불규칙 전이온도(Tc)가 약간 하강하였지만, AuCu l형+AuCu ll형의 공존영역의 온도는 훨씬 낮아졌다.

This study was carried out to investigate the solid wood bending properties of red pine(Pinus densiflora S. et Z.)naturally grown in Korea by boiling treatment The specimens were green and their dimension was $15\times15\times350mm$. The optimum conditions for solid wood bending processing of pine lumber are shown in Table 6 and the minimum solid bending radius was 240 mm in boiling treatment. The effects of knot on the degradation of bending processing properties were very severe and the failures of diagonal and torn grained wood were 20% and 30% respectively.

2011북엑스포 아메리카(2011BEA)가 지난 5월 24일부터 26일까지 미국 뉴욕 자비츠센터에서 열렸다. 북미 최대의 출판관련전시회인 이번 전시회에 대한인쇄문화협회(회장 김남수)는 문화체육관광부의 지원으로 한국인쇄문화관을 설치하고 직지를 비롯한 한국 인쇄 문화를 홍보하는 한편 수출업체에 대한 정보가 담긴 영문 홍보물을 상담과 함께 배포했다. 또한 수출 전용 홈페이지를 통해 향후 실질적으로 교류할 수 있도록 홍보활동을 전개했다. 특히, 미국, 유럽 등의 최신 동향을 파악, 국내 인쇄물 수출업체에 최신 정보를 제공하는 한편으로 현지 구매자들이 원하는 내용에 대응하는 상담과 함께 해당 업체를 연결해 주는 활동을 펼쳤다. 2011 북엑스포 아메리카(2011 BEA)는 뉴욕, LA, 시카고, 워싱턴 D.C 등 미국 주요 도시서 번갈아가며 개최되고 있으며 Reed Exhibitions가 주최하고 ABA(미국서적상협회), AAP(미국출판협회), AAR(미국작가협회)가 후원했다. 이번 전시회에는 2만 1천여명이 전시장을 찾았다.

본시험은 진면제조시의 가장 합리적인 정연방법을 구명하기 위한 시험으로서 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 시료견의 정연방법은 0.75% $Na_2$SiO$_3$, 2% NaCO$_3$용액에 40분간 자비하는 것이(T/syb 6/)) 진면 및 수반견사제조면에서 가장 합리적이었다. 2. T$_{6}$구의 진면 및 수방견사는 다른 처리구에 비하여 그 품질이 현저히 우수하였다.

Objective: This study was to examined the mediating effect of active emotion regulation and marital quality in the relationships between self-compassion and maternal-fetal attachment. Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 836 pregnant women and the data were analyzed by SPSS21 and M-plus7, and statistical analysis, frequency analysis, and then structural equation modeling were performed. Results: First, self-compassion directly affects maternal-fetal attachment. Second, self-compassion was indirectly influenced by maternal-fetal attachment through active emotional regulation. Third, self-compassion indirectly affects maternal-fetal attachment through marital quality. Fourth, in regards to the relationship between self-compassion and maternal-fetal attachment, active emotional regulation and marital quality were mediated. Conclusion/Implications: we discussed implications for enhancing self-compassion and active emotional regulation and enhancing marital quality to increase the maternal-fetal attachment of pregnant women.

인간은 사고하는 존재, 그리고 언어를 사용하는 존재라는 사실은 바로 인간이 지향적 주체라는 것을 보여주는 두가지 특징적 측면이다. 즉 심성내용과 의미는 지향적 대상의 두 축이라고 할 수 있다. 그런데 데이빗슨은 자비(charity) 혹은 합리성(rationality)이라는 동일한 원리에 기초하여 내용과 의미의 통일적 이론을 모색한 철학자이다. 이 논문에서는 데이빗슨의 내용과 의미의 이론을 반(反)데카르트적 관점으로 해석함으로써 데이빗슨 철학이 갖는 비트겐슈타인적 경향을 검토한다. 즉 데이빗슨의 내용과 의미론을 비트겐슈타인적 시각에서 조명하고 둘 사이에 어떤 연속성과 차이가 있는지를 논의함으로써, 데카르트 전통의 지향성 개념을 모색하는 새로운 지향성 개념을 모색하는 것이 이 논문의 목표이다.

웹 애플리케이션의 사용이 늘어남에 따라 자바스크립트 프로그램의 성능을 높이는 것이 중요한 문제가 되었다. 자바스크립 프로그램에 대해 별칭 분석을 수행하면 더 많은 최적화가 가능해지지만, 자비스크립트가 가지는 동적인 특성으로 인해 분석 방법을 고안하는 데 어려움이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 자바스크립트의 주요한 동적 특성을 온전하게 다루는 별칭 분석 알고리즘을 최초로 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 별칭 그래프를 생성하여 프로그램 내의 별칭 관계를 완전하게 찾아내며, 또한 실행시킬 코드가 동적으로 추가될 때마다 이전에 이루어졌던 최적화가 유효한지 검사한다. 별칭 분석 결과를 이용하여 V8 자바스크립트 엔진에서 추가적으로 최적화를 수행한 결과, 유의미한 수행 시간 감소를 확인할 수 있었다.

Synthesis of an optically active azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane skeleton as a backbone of the tropane alkaloids has been achieved by employing intramolecular Mannich reaction. Utilizat ion of (R)-${\alpha}$-methylbenzylamine as a chiral auxiliary provided an excellent cyclization of amino dioxolane precursor. However, this auxiliary did not afford high asymmertic induction for the preparation of the optically active cyclization precursor.

지난 1981년부터 해외석유개발사업이 시작된 이래 지금까지의 총투자비 약 24억 달러 중 에너지특별회계에 의한 정부지원금은 약 6억 달러로 전체 투자비의 25%를 차지한다. 이와 같은 정부지원에도 불구하고 1997년도의 개발수입량은 13.6백만 배럴로 국내 원유소비량의 1.6%에 불과한 실정이다. 2010년까지 국내 소요원유의 10%를 자주개발 원유로 공급한다는 정책목표를 설정한 정부는 최근 IMF사태와 구조조정 여파로 기업들이 해외석유개발사업에 대한 투자 우선순위를 낮추고 있다고 판단하고, 에너지 안보차원에서 석유를 안정적으로 확보하기 위해 지원방안을 모색중인 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 현행 성공불 융자의 사전적(事前的) 지원제도 대신 국내기업이 해외석유개발사업에 진출해 그 결과 국내에 도입하는 개발원유에 대해 단위당 일정금액을 지원하는 사후적(事後的) 지원제도를 대안(代案)으로 선택해, 이 제도하에서 개발수입률의 크기를 측정할 수 있는 수리적 모형을 설정하고, 이의 실증분석을 통해 개발수입목표율에 따른 정부지원금의 크기를 추정하여 제시하고 있다.
