This study was intended to propose a plan for the operation of the local assembly information services as a service for the specialized service of the National Assembly Library's depository library. To that end, the information services of the national assembly libraries, the local assembly libraries, and the social science libraries were investigated and analyzed. We drew the implications based on the results of the analysis and finally developed the operational strategies such as the strengthening the data sharing system for the local council, the assembly information reply service for local councils and the information literacy program for users.

전 세계적으로 많은 나라들이 기후변화에 적응하기 위해 수자원 관리 전략을 마련하고 있으며, 수자원의 근간이 되는 빗물의 효율적 사용을 위해 우리나라에서도 빗물이용시설이 많이 도입되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사용자 편의 환경(graphical user interface; GUI)을 갖춘 빗물이용시설의 용량 결정 프로그램(capacity design aid for rainwater harvesting; CARAH)을 개발하여 관련 연구와 업무에 활용성을 높이고자 하였다. CARAH는 저수지 질량 보존식과 python의 pyswarm package에 탑재된 메타 휴리스틱 방법 중 하나인 입자 군집 최적화(particle swarm optimization; PSO) 기법을 연계하여 빗물이용시설의 최적 용량을 짧은 시간에 결정될 수 있도록 개발되었다. 그리고, C#의 Windows Forms Application을 이용하여 사용자 편의 환경을 구현하였다. CARAH의 입력 자료는 모의 기간, 유입량, 목표공급량, 공급보장률이고, 출력 자료는 공급보장률-저류조용량, 목표공급량-실공급량-미달성량, 저류용량-유입량-실공급량이다. 빗물이용시설 계획에 필요한 여러 입력 자료를 쉽게 입력할 수 있도록 구현하였고, 그래프와 표의 형태로 계산된 결과를 화면에 직접 표출함으로써 사용자가 직관적으로 확인할 수 있도록 하였다. 한편, 입·출력 자료를 포함한 분석 결과는 파일로 관리할 수 있도록 기능을 갖추어 수정 및 보완 등의 반복적 활용이 가능하도록 하였다. 개발된 프로그램의 활용성을 검토하기 위해 실제 저류지가 설계된 인천의 청라지구 1공구를 대상으로 적용하였고, 분석 결과의 적절성을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 CARAH는 빗물이용시설의 용량 결정에 관한 효율을 높일 수 있는 프로그램이고, 누구나 쉽고 간편하게 사용할 수 있는 프로그램으로서 향후 활용성이 높을 것으로 판단된다.

Traditional role of library is focused on the book collection and its reference service. However, library should be stressed the need of educational activity in the future. This study described to classify the roles of public library, which are book collecting and its reference services, educational activities, event place service for region community. Observation survey on the public libraries in Boston and its Vicinity shows that public libraries have various children's programs and they are getting more important roles. Public libraries of case study have done not only the roles for reference service space but also the informal lifelong education institute for region community. Library as the informal lifelong education institute deserve special emphasis on the development of education program.

In this study, educational service programs of archives have been reviewed through articles and case studies. As a result, five main educational services of archives were found. First, educational services are provided to K-12 students and teachers. Secondly, most educational services have focused on application of primary resources connected to current educational courses. Thirdly, cooperations among teachers, education experts, and archivists have been proceeded. Fourth, besides the direct instructions, printed materials and web based educational contents were also provided for students. Fifthly, utilization of primary resources were applied not only to history area, but also many subject areas such as social science, arts and humanities.

A modern architectural building is a cultural heritage, which is also part of our history until the present. Documentation is thus considered an irreplaceable method to preserve our cultural heritage as it may be the last resort of preservation. The study analyzed the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) on the Heritage Documentation Programs of the National Park Service. Based on the analysis of the comparison and documentation of the modern architectural building implemented by the Cultural Heritage Administration, the study suggested improvement plans from three different perspectives. First, specifically detailed regulations of the legal system are supposed to be used for the implementation of the documentation of modern architectural buildings. Second, it is suggested that a general plan for continuous documentation be made. Last, by setting up a collection method, an information service needs to be provided for the public.

필자는 이 글을 통해 제주도 고고학 발달사를 크게 4기로 구분하여 보았다. 제1기는 1945년 이전 일제강점기에 유적과 유물을 단순하게 보고하는 수준에 머물렀던 시기이고 제2기는 1945년에서 1983년 기간으로 향토사가와 한국 본토의 고고$\cdot$역사학자들의 부분적인 학술조사가 있었던 시기이다. 따라서 1$\~$2기는 제주 고고학의 기본적인 틀을 잡지 못한 단계라고 할 수 있다. 제3기는 1984년부터 1995년까지로 제주고고학에 있어 본격적인 발굴이 진행되지만 대부분이 긴급 발굴에 해당하고 소규모적인 발굴이었다. 하지만 이 시기에 와서 그 동안 발굴했던 자료와 그 이전의 발굴자료를 모아 나름대로 제주고고학의 시대 편년, 문화 변천 등의 기본적인 틀과 방향을 설정한 시기이기도 하다. 제4기는 1996년 이후 현재까지로 제주고고학의 기본적인 틀 속에서 이를 보완하고 새로운 선사문화의 단계를 설정하는 연구들이 진행 중이다. 이를 뒷받침하는 계기는 제주 고산리유적, 삼양동유적 등이 연차적, 계획적, 대대적으로 발굴되면서 많은 자료가 나왔기 때문이다. 또한 고고학의 범위가 선사시대에 국한되지 않고 제주목관아지, 성읍객사지, 법화사지, 존자암지, 수정사지, 고내현청터 등 역사유적의 출토자료에 대한 관심이 더욱 집중되기에 이르렀다. 제주도내 매장문화재는 발굴된 유적 대부분이 지정되어 있는 상태이다. 제주목관아지(사적 390호), 항파두리성(사적 396호), 고산리유적(사적 412호), 삼양동유적(사적 416호)로 지정되었다. 제주도 지석묘는 총 24기가 지방기념물로 지정되어 있으며 발굴했던 선사유적 중 곽지패총, 북촌리바위그늘집자리, 용담동무덤유적이 지정되어 있다. 역사유적 중 법화사지, 존자암지가 지정되었고 일부 유적지는 복원 중이다. 제주도 문화재를 보존하고 활용하기 위해서는 강화된 새로운 문화재법의 적절한 활용, 매장문화재 발굴 전문기관 설립, 발굴된 문화재의 원상보존, 문화재 주소록 작성, 문화재 행정 전문인력의 확보, 제주문화재의 상징물 선정과 활용, 지역문화재홍보위원의 위촉과 다양한 문화유산 프로그램의 개발을 들었다.

Archival organizations have been evolving to varying users' needs. The main functional focus of earlier archival organizations has inclined to collection and preservation of data, but their current interests expand to utilization of the data collected. Therefore, today's archival organizations endeavor to procure user-oriented archival information service. This study highlights the programs initiated in last two years by 'Service Innovation Team', a special task force of National Archives of Korea organized in 2005, and presents comparative analysis of those programs with respect to the existing archival systems of National Archives and Records Administration of USA and The National Archives in UK. Additionally, the study, while emphasizing the importance of enlarging and diversifying service programs as well as promoting public awareness over archive resources, introduces the service standards of advanced nations as benchmarks for future archival service policies of pertinent organizations.

Recently with the emergence of the digital age and the progress of the learning economy, the role of library is expanding from archiving and providing information to education and community service. In this paradigm child education programs at public libraries are strongly demanded by the community. The goal of this study is to analyze the educational roles of child education programs currently being implemented in public libraries. This research tries to incorporate the current child education program into a constructivist perspective. In conclusion, the designed and proposed model in this study was then applied to public libraries' reading education program, and the case was verified through empirical examination and investigation. These studies revealed that the designing of constructivist teaching and the learning model for child education programs was positively verified and found some strategic implication for the development of child education programs in public libraries.

한국원자력연구소에서는 고준위 방사성폐기물 처분 시스템의 안전성을 투명하게평가하기 위한 방안의 하나로 처분 안전성 관련 시나리오와 구성 요소들인 FEP, 그리고 각 시나리오 별 안전성 평가 방안들을 종합한 프로그램인 FEAS를 개발하고 있다. 고준위 방사성 폐기물 처분 연구는 관련 전문가 뿐 아니라 일반 국민들도 안전성에 관해 많은 관심을 표명하고 있는 바 현재 국내에서 고려하고 있는 처분 개념은 무엇이며 처분장 안전성 평가를 위해서 고려하고 있는 제 사건들은 무엇이며 이들 시나리오를 구성하는 세부 사건들은 무엇인가에 관한 합의를 도출하고 이와 관련된 기록들을 보존하고 각각 세부 사건들에 관해 현재의 평가 방안과 데이터 수집 현황 그리고 해외 사례 등을 체계적으로 정리하는 일은 중요하다. 현재 개발되고 있는 FEAS는 이와 같은 역할을 수행할 뿐 아니라 이 프로그램과 동시에 개발되고 있는 입력 자료 데이터 시스템, 웹을 기반으로 한 품질 보증 체제 및 안전성 평가 방안 등과 향후 연계되어 모든 국민들이 방사성 폐기물 처분장의 안전성을 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 수단으로 확장될 예정이다.

In the recent changes in the museum industry, one trend that can be observed is museums' attempt to expand their role scope from the collection and preservation of historically valuable materials to utilization and recreation through the introduction of the concept of an archive for museum data management and utilization. Data generated by the experience program at the university museum is expected to grow in size and increase the value of use, but there has been no area where records management for the experience program has been systematically established and operated. Therefore, this study conducted a survey on the operation status of domestic and foreign university museum experience programs and the person in charge of them. Based on the analysis of the results, it proposed a method for handling the records of the university museum experience program to systematically collect related records and manage them efficiently.
