Automation of electrical acoustic experimental apparatus for the directivity measurement of sound (소리의 지향성 측정을 위한 전기음향실험기기의 자동화)

  • The directivity of the sound pressure increases the sensitivity of the incoming sound from specific directions. The directivity measurement of the sound pressure is usually done in an anechoic room using a sloping motor. In this paper a replaceable anechoic chamber was designed for the acoustic directivity pattern measurement. Electrical equipments were interfaced with a PC for experiment automatic control. Some comparative results are shown in the result.

  • 최근 산업계에서 일고 있는 저투자성 자동화 시스템분야의 활성화에 따라 자동화 핵심 기기인 핵심공압 부품의 수요가 날로 증가하고 있다. 특히 산업계의 생산비 절감, 전자화 추세에 따라 공압 AC솔레노이드 밸브는 핵심공압 부품 중에서 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 AC 솔레노이드의 작동시 발생되는 동적특성 절환메카니즘의 동적특성을 실험적으로 측정. 분석하였으며, 그 결과로부터 AC 솔레노이드 최적설계 해석 기초를 확립코자 본 연구를 수행하였다.

  • 산업사회에서 정보화사회로 급격히 전환되고 있는 시대적 상황 속에서 기계공학분야 가운데 특히, 제어.자동화.시스템공학 분야에서도 이와 같은 시대적 상황을 반영한 사고의 전환이 절실히 요구되는 시점이다. 이에 부산대학교 기계공학부에서는 이러한 현황 진단과 미래 준비를 위한 분석 및 최근의 산업 기반구조의 변화에 능동적으로 대처하기 위하여 혁신과 창의를 모토로 하여 다방면의 개혁을 추진하고 있다. 본 고찰에서는 특히, 기계공학부에서 추진하고 있는 제어.자동화.시스템공학 실험실습교육 개선방안에 대하여 포괄적으로 기술하였다.

  • Computer control of experiments is very powerful because computer can outperform human being for most routine and repeated procedures. We successfully made the whole process of sputtering and annealing fully automated and controllable through network. The present work shows a possibility of building unmanned laboratory.

  • Numerous efforts are currently underway to automate pavementcrack and joint sealing activities. Productivity improvements, improved safety and quality, and reduced road user costs motivate these developments. Recently, an automated pavement crack sealing machine has been developed to automate the process of sealing pavement cracks and joints in Korea. This paper mainly describes the results of the economic feasibility analysis revealed through its overall performance evaluation and field tests. Finally, it is concluded that the automated machine exceeds the performance in terms of productivity, safety, and quality required in conventional method, thus making the machine economically feasible.

  • The demand for the development of automated construction equipments is gradually increasing to deal with the current problems of construction technology, such as a lack of experienced workers, the aging of engineers, safety issues, etc. In particular, earth work such as excavation is very machine-dependent, and there has been a great deal of research on the development of an intelligent excavator, which involves great safety concerns. Thus, the objective of this study is to develop the technology to enhance the safety of intelligent excavation systems by developing an omnidirectional object detection technology for the intelligent excavator and applying it to a user-friendly system. The existing literature was reviewed, and the function of various sensor technologies was investigated and analyzed. Then, the best laser sensor was selected for an experiment to determine its effectiveness. An omnidirectional object detection algorithm was developed for a user interface program, and this can be used as the fundamental technology for the development of a safety management system for an intelligent excavator.

  • The testing time and cost of developed software can be reduced by automation of the whole or part of testing process. Since the testing automation tools to be used currently have been developed without their interoperability, test case information such as test procedures, test data, and expectation of test results generated at the stage of test execution cannot be shared and reused in other testing automation tools, In order to reduce testing time and cost, in this thesis, we have proposed a software testing automation framework which makes it possible to share and reuse the test case information generated in testing process. To prove the availability and effectiveness of proposed testing automation framework, three testing automation tools that are available in current market were experimented by the test scenario. As a result of experiment, the testing time and cost could be reduced by sharing and reusing the test case information in software testing automation framework.

  • 마이크로어레이를 이용한 발현실험이 기하급수적으로 늘어남에 따라 마이크로어레이이미지를 자동으로 처리하는 기술에 대한 요구가 커지고 있고, 이에 대한 연구도 많아지고 있다. 마이크로어레이 이미지를 자동으로 처리하기 위해서는 각 이미지가 가지고 있는 스팟 패턴를 알아보고, 자동화 정도를 측정할 수 있는 품질평가함수가 필요하다. 우리는 본 논문에서 마이크로어레이 이미지 분석의 자동화에 대한 평가를 도와주는 스팟 패턴의 품질평가함수(quality measure)를 정의하고, 각 실험이 얼마나 잘 이루어졌는지를 예측할 수 있는 품질제어평가함수(quality control measure)를 정의한다. 또한 마이크로어레이 실험과 이미지에 대한 품질을 평가하기 위해서 이미지내의 블럭들과 스팟들에 대한 통계량을 이용하고, 스팟들의 발현값에 대한 정확도를 측정하기 위한 품질평가함수들을 정의한다. 이러한 품질평가함수의 측정을 위해서 최대정규정점의 집합(maximal regular point set)과 메타그리드를 이용한다.

Experimental Study for the Improvement of an Automated PHC Pile Head Cutter (PHC 파일 두부정리 자동화 장비 개선에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Several advanced countries have been continually developed PHC pile cutting automation machines for improving productivity, safety and quality of the conventional PHC pile cutting work. However, the target work of the previously developed PHC pile cutting automation machines is only crushing the head of PHC pile. Dangerous grinding work is still performed by workers with seven inch hand grinder. In domestic construction industry, the PHC pile cutting work is usually performed by a crusher and three to four skilled workers. Recent analysis results of the PHC pile cutting work reveal that it frequently makes a lot of cracks which significantly reduce the strength of the pile and is labor-intensive work. The primary objective of this study is to propose the end-effector which can effectively break PHC pile without any longitudinal cracks and to develop an automated pile cutting machine having unified grinder and crusher parts through a wide variety of laboratory and field tests. It is anticipated that the development of the automated pile cutting machine would be able to bring improvements in safety, productivity, quality as well as cost saving.

  • Crack sealing, a routine and necessary part of pavement maintenance, is a dangerous, costly, and labor-intensive operation. Within the North America, about ${\$}200$ million is spent annually on crack sealing, with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) spending about ${\$}7$ million annually (labor alone accounts for over 50 percent of these costs). Prompted by concerns of safety and cost, the University of Texas at Austin, in cooperation with TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has developed a unique computer-guided Automated Road Maintenance Machine (ARMM) for pavement crack sealing. In 1999, successful field tests have been undertaken in 8 States around the U.S. This paper first describes significance of the automated crack sealing and technical advances in automated crack sealers including the ARMM, developed in the U.S. It then discusses the ARMM's field implementation and performance evaluation results, and improvements and modifications suggested through the technology evaluation during the field trials. Current research efforts and future work plans in its further development are also presented in this paper.
