Based on a case study of bank's Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) in Korea, this paper attempts to reveal dynamic changes occurring across the financial landscape with special emphasis on distribution pattern and location factors. Since the distribution of ATMs showed a concentrated pattern similar to that of bank branches, location quotients were examined to consider the effect of branches on ATM distribution. Furthermore, this study identified four factors that play pivotal roles in the location of ATMs. Compared to branch, location of ATM was more closely related to the population and demand factor, while the importance of local economy base and local economic power factor was reduced to some degree. This difference is attributable to the peculiar characteristic of the services offered by ATM. Lastly, demand factor turned out to be most influential in determining the ratio of ATMs to branches in each district, since lower deployment and operation costs allow ATMs to be more flexibly placed where demand for cash services is high.

지폐 인식 자동화기기가 여러 분야에 보편화되면서 다양한 지폐를 고속으로 처리할 수 있는 고속지폐 인식 자동화 기기가 요구되고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 지폐 인식 자동화 기기가 고속화에 적합하지 않은 구조로 설계되어 있고 신권 추가가 용이하지 않다. 본 논문은 고속 Paper Currency 인식 시스템에 적합한 범용 하드웨어 시스템과 Bayes Rule 기반의 고속 인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 범용 하드웨어 구조는 고속의 CIS(Contact Image Sensor)와 DSP(Digital Signal Processor) 그리고 Dual Memory System으로 구성되었다. Bayes Rule에 기초한 고속 인식 알고리즘은 기존의 Paper Currency 인식 시스템에 사용되었던 기계학습 방법에 비해 신권 추가가 쉽고 적은 연산으로 권종을 판별할 수 있어 고속 지폐 인식 자동화기기에 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 방법들을 실제 자동화기기로 구현하여 그 유용성을 검증한다.

우편 산업은 우편 물류망을 근간으로 수작업 형태 업무 프로세스가 중점적인 사업영역이나, 최근 우편 사업 환경의 급속한 변화와 이에 따른 대응이 요구됨에 따라 세계 선진 우편사업들은 우편 자동화 및 정보화 기술을 적극 도입하고 있는 추세이다. 이를 위해 우편 사업 환경 및 인프라를 고려한 우편 자동화 체계 마련을 위해 우편자동화 설비기기 및 그 시스템과 우편 정보 시스템간 정보 연계, 서비스 연동뿐만 아니라 궁극적으로 자동화 설비기기를 구축함에 있어 하드웨어 기능과 소프트웨어 기능을 분리시켜 소프트웨어 기능 유지보수 비용을 최소화하기 위해 독립성을 제공하기 위한 우편 자동화 통합망 구축기술 개발에 주력하고 있다. 이는 우편자동화 설비기기의 자동화에 필요한 요소기술에 최신 IT 기술을 적용하여 설비기기간 정보 연계 및 서비스 연동을 실현함으로써 우편 업무 프로세스를 개선하고 신규 서비스를 창출하는 기반이 된다.

전자상거래의 발전과 개인 중심 사회로 변화함에 따라, 매년 통상우편에 대한 접수 물량은 지속적 감소되고 있고, 비정형 우편물과 소포(택배) 접수 물량이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이와 같이 우편서비스 환경변화에 적극적으로 대응하기 위해 각국의 우편물류 사업자들은 우편물 접수 및 배달업무에 정보통신기술과 자동화기술을 활용하여 고객편익 증진과 우편사업의 경영개선을 목적으로 우편용 접수 및 배달 자동화기기 기술을 개발 및 도입하여 운영하고 있다. 본고에서는 우편용 접수 자동화기기와 무인 택배시스템에 대한 국외 기술동향과 최근 무인우체국 구축에 사용된 국내 우편 접수 및 배달 자동화기기 기술개발 현황을 살펴보고 추후 발전방향을 제시하고자 한다.

소형전동기는 VTR, 비디오 디스크 등의 가정용 전자기기를 비롯하여 컴퓨터 관련기기의 디스크 구동장치, 복사기를 포함한 사무용자동화 기기분야에서 상당히 많이 사용되고 있다. 물론 산업용 로보트나 각종 성력화기기 등의 공장자동화(FA)분야에서도 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있음은 두말할 것도 없다. 여기서는 전자기기용으로 사용되는 소형회로형 전동기에 대하여 주로 용도별 응용면에 중점을 두고 사용예와 기술동향을 소개하기로 하였으며 전자기기용으로 주로 사용되는 스탭핑모우터와 브러시레스 DC모우터의 원리, 구조 등 상세한 기초적 내용의 해설은 다른 해설자와의 중복을 피하여 생략하였다.

본 연구에서는 외부와 유무선 접속기능을 갖는 무인창구 자동화기기(CD, ATM, 통장정리기, 발권기, 무인자동발급기, 지하철 게이트 등)를 인터넷망에 접속하여 기기의 장애/ 이력 관련정보를 Server의 데이터 베이스에 저장하고, 인터넷에 접속되어 있는 A/S 센터에서 필요한 정보를 쉽고 효율적으로 검색, 운용할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하는 방법을 제시한다.

Utilizing sequence control and numerical computing, embedded devices are used in a variety of automated systems, including those at industrial sites, in accordance with their control program. Since embedded devices are used as a control system in corporate industrial complexes, nuclear power plants and public transport infrastructure nowadays, deliberate attacks on them can cause significant economic and social damages. Most attacks aimed at embedded devices are data-coded, code-modulated, and control-programmed. The control programs for industry-automated embedded devices are designed to represent circuit structures, unlike common programming languages, and most industrial automation control programs are designed with a graphical language, LAD, which is difficult to process static analysis. Because of these characteristics, the vulnerability analysis and security related studies for industry automation control programs have only progressed up to the formal verification, real-time monitoring levels. Furthermore, the static analysis of industrial automation control programs, which can detect vulnerabilities in advance and prepare for attacks, stays poorly researched. Therefore, this study suggests a method to present a discussion on an industry automation control program designed to represent the circuit structure to increase the efficiency of static analysis of embedded industrial automation programs. It also proposes a medium term translation technology exploiting LLVM IR to comprehensively analyze the industrial automation control programs of various manufacturers. By using LLVM IR, it is possible to perform integrated analysis on dynamic analysis. In this study, a prototype program that converts to a logical expression type of medium language was developed with regards to the S company's control program in order to verify our method.
