  • 고속/고전압으로 동작하는 자동차 전장품에 대한 EMI/EMC(Electromagnetic Interfere / Electromagnetic Compatibility) 문제는 기존의 PCB(Printed Circuit Board)에서의 문제와 다르며 하이브리드/전기 자동차에서 중요하게 다뤄지는 배터리에 대한 최적화 된 모델링 방법이 본 논문에 소개 되어있다. 기존의 단순한 저항과 커패시터의 연결로 표현 된 모델링이 아닌 고주파를 반영 할 수 있는 모델링 방법을 사용하였다. 이를 분석하기 위해 ANSYS사의 Simplorer와 Matlab을 사용해서 결과를 보았다. 본 논문에서는 DOD(Depth Of Discharge)에 따른 통합 등가회로 모델을 구현하면서 기존의 단순한 지수함수 곡선적합(Curve fitting)이 아닌 SOC(State Of Charge)의 경계조건을 반영하여 정확성을 높였다. 이로써 실험 데이터를 이용해 배터리 등가회로 모델링을 하여 정확한 배터리 동작의 해석을 할 수 있고 이에 따른 전도성 방사(CE : Conducted Emission)문제에 보다 쉽게 접근 할 수 있다.

  • In order to present that the electromagnetic compatibility standards following the frequency goes up which is based automotive electronics, in this paper, a hybrid/electric vehicle battery which reflects the frequency of the equivalent circuit model is introduced. By using this circuit modeling, the impedance characteristics can be analysed and an analyze of battery one cell is finished. Using this model, each different from the discharging situation, the discharge characteristic curve could be led. Basic theoretical approaches and measuring results through MATLAB and experimental validation of the EIS measurement equipment was used.

  • 무기체계 개발에서 개발장비의 내구성은 개발자가 고려해야될 가장 중요한 항목 중에 하나이다. 그러나 이런 개념이 꼭 무기체계 개발에만 국한된다고 생각되지는 않는다. 실제로 여러 선진국에서는 자동차나 항공기 그리고 인공위성에 탑재되는 거의 모든 장비를 환경시험을 통하여 엄격하게 관리하고 있는 것이 사실이고, 우리 기업들 역시 진동을 비롯하여 온도, 충격, EMI/EMC등 환경시험분야에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있기 때문에 이런 환경시험수준 결정절차나 과정 그리고 결과를 나름대로 파악하는 일은 매우 중요하다고 판단된다. 여러 환경시험 중에서도 진동시험은 가장 보편적이고 오래된 것으로 진동시험을 합리적으로 수행하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 합리적이고 타당한 진동시험수준 결정이 필요하다. 미 군사규격도 Sinusoidal이나 Swept Sine에서 Random Vibration 시험까지 여러 종류의 시험에서 각각에 맞는 시험 방법을 제시하고 있으나 이를 뒷받침하는 이론적 설명은 부족한 편이다. 이런 상황에서 프랑스가 환경시험, 특히 진동 시험에 많은 연구를 하고 있어서 이번에 국방과학연구소가 프랑스의 Thomson-CSF사와 함께 일하면서 배우고 나름대로 연구한 것을 앞장에 언급하였다. 세부적인 내용이 많이 포함되지는 못했지만 가능하면 여러 분야에서 이런 작업이나 연구에 관하여 많은 관심을 가져 주기를 바란다.

The Study on the Cycling Time for Interbus (인터버스 순환시간 측정에 대한 연구)

  • The test on the cycle time of the Interbus, widely used in automobile industry, is evaluated in this paper. The measurement of cycle time is a very Important factor for performance of Interbus. The test was performed by the under normal circumstances and circumstances with EMC. The theoretical cycle time which was derived from mathematical form and from real system with Interbus approach to nearly result. As a result, it is shown that Interbus is deterministic, rapid and reliable system.

  • This paper proposes a new way to verify the performance of an absorber lined shielded enclosure(ALSE) in accordance with CISPR25, EMC standards dedicated to testing automotive components. CISPR16 requires the use of NSA and VSWR methods to test the performance of a chamber. As for CISPR25, however, there hasn't been standardized ways to verify the performance of ALSE. This paper purports to present an improved method for the verification based on a long-wire antenna method under discussion at CISPR25 JFT. Existing discussions on a long-wire antenna method proposes that an antenna should reach 500 millimeters in length, while this paper adopts the antenna length of 1,700 millimeters. This paper also assesses the effects of matching conditions and studies problems related to methods which have been already proposed and key parameters in order to improve verification methods.

BCI Probe Emulator Using a Microstrip Coupler (마이크로스트립 커플러 구조를 이용한 BCI 프로브 Emulator)

  • Bulk Current Injection(BCI) test is a method of injecting current into Integrated Circuit(IC) using a current injection probe to qualify the standards of Electromagnetic Compatibility(EMC). This paper, we propose a microstrip coupler structure that can replace the BCI current injection probe that is used to inject a RF noise in standard IEC 62132-part 3 documented by International Electrotechnical Commission. Conventional high cost BCI probe has mostly been used in testing automotive ICs that use high supply voltage. We propose a compact microstrip coupler which is suitable for immunity testing of low power ICs. We tested its validity to replace the BCI injection probe from 100 MHz to 1,000 MHz. We compared the power[dBm] that is needed to generate the same level of noise between current injection probe and microstrip coupler by sweeping the frequency. Results show that microstrip coupler can inject the same level of noise into ICs for immunity test with less power.

  • In-vehicle multimedia systems are one of the most important factors in the automotive industry. Especially, multimedia systems are more important in advanced commercial vehicles such as premium express buses. In this paper, we proposed a multimedia streaming system architecture using MEP(MOST Ethernet Packets) for premium express buses based on MOST150. We have designed and implemented the prototype of proposed multimedia streaming system. We have designed a board based on i.MX6 to operate a proposed multimedia streaming system. The software has designed a multimedia system for premium express buses based on Android which is an open source platform. MOST(Media Oriented Systems Transport) is a high-speed multimedia network technology for in-vehicle multimedia system. The MOST network is able to manage up to 64 devices and ring topology is used basically. In addition, the MOST Network meets EMI(Electro-Magnetic Interference)/ EMC(Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) requirements because it uses plastic optical fibers(POF).

  • This purpose of this study is to propose the characteristics analysis of the PCB pattern designed two modes for the output voltage value on the PMIC through converting the limited voltage value inputted from a battery. The PCB design technology has been undergoing difficulty in getting the related technology in a domestic market because of increasing EMI/EMC, Cross-talk, Impedance. And it requires to have the appropriate clearance between the patterns and the technology of PCB pattern width with a amperage according to various uses. The study carried out the characteristics analysis of the PCB pattern designed from a direct output method without a capacitor[mode1], to an output method through a capacitor[mode2] for PMIC output voltage value. Besides, we calculated the pattern width with a amperage using the equation suggested by IPC-2221, presenting the right way of the layout design to analyze the trouble with the test. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute not only to applying the PMIC design for the mobile panel power supply, but also helping the design and application technology in various areas such as car control, camera, note-book, computer, PDA, etc.

  • As the structures of the high performance electronic equipments and devices recently become more complex, the electromagnetic interference (EMI) and compatibility (EMC) have been very essential for commercial and military purposes. Thus, sensitive electrical devices and densely packed systems need to be protected from electromagnetic wave. In this research, glass fabric/epoxy composites containing conductive multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) and carbon fiber/epoxy composites as electrical shielding materials were fabricated and electrical properties of the composites were measured. The concerning frequency band is from 300 MHz to 1 GHz. The performances of composite shielding enclosures were predicted using electromagnetic wave 3-D simulation tool, CST Microwave Studio. The shielding enclosure made of carbon fiber/epoxy composites were fabricated and the shielding effectiveness (SE) was measured in the anechoic chamber.

  • Due to high imperviousness rates of the roads, various pollutants originated from vehicle activities and air depositions are accumulated on the road surfaces. The washed-off pollutants can deteriorate the water quality and destroy the aqua-ecosystems with their toxicity. Usually the roads are paved with asphalt and concrete, which can affect on the pollutant concentrations with different frictional forces. Therefore, this research is performed to evaluate the influences of different pavement type on discharged concentrations of pollutant. The results shows the first flush phenomenon was occurred on both pavement types. However, peak concentrations are higher in concrete pavement areas than asphalt pavement because concrete pavement has high contact area with vehicles. The EMCs(Event Mean Concentration) also shows high values in concrete paved roads. As a result of this research, it can be concluded the pavement type is also one of the important affecting factors on pollutant emissions from the roads.
