Implementation of Preceding Vehicle Break-Lamp Detection System using Selective Attention Model and YOLO (선택적 주의집중 모델과 YOLO를 이용한 선행 차량 정지등 검출 시스템 구현)

  • A ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance System) for the safe driving is an important area in autonumous car. Specially, a ADAS software using an image sensors attached in previous car is low in building cost, and utilizes for various purpose. A algorithm for detecting the break-lamp from the tail-lamp of preceding vehicle is proposed in this paper. This method can perceive the driving condition of preceding vehicle. Proposed method uses the YOLO techinicque that has a excellent performance in object tracing from real scene, and extracts the intensity variable region of break-lamp from HSV image of detected vehicle ROI(Region Of Interest). After detecting the candidate region of break-lamp, each isolated region is labeled. The break-lamp region is detected finally by using the proposed selective-attention model that percieves the shape-similarity of labeled candidate region. In order to evaluate the performance of the preceding vehicle break-lamp detection system implemented in this paper, we applied our system to the various driving images. As a results, implemented system showed successful results.

  • 엔진 정지 중 발생한 자동차화재는 엔진 정지 전에 이미 화재가 발생해 있었으나 이를 모르고 엔진 정지 중에 화재가 발견되는 경우와 엔진 정지 후에 발생한 경우로 나눌 수 있다. 엔진정지 전 발생한 화재는 운행 중 화재가 발생할 수 있는 모든 원인에 의해 발생할 수 있고, 엔진정지 후 발생한 화재는 전기적인 원인에 의한 화재, 담뱃불에 의한 화재, 방화, 다른 곳에서 발화된 후 자동차로 확대된 화재 중의 하나로 압축할 수 있다. 그러므로 외부발화 또는 방화나 담뱃불에 의한 화재가 배제되는 경우는 전기적인 원인만을 생각할 수 있다. 엔진정지 전에 이미 엔진룸 등에 불이 붙어 있어도 주차 중 이를 인식하지 못하는 것은 엔진정지 시 화재의 규모가 작거나 눈에 띄는 이상징후가 나타나 있지 않고 또한 이를 관심 있게 확인하지 않기 때문이다. 엔진정지 전에 화재가 발생한 경우에는 일반적으로 주차 후 대략 10분 이내에 화재가 발견되고 있다. 따라서 주차 후 10분이 경과하지 않은 시점에 화재가 발견되었다면 엔진정지 전에 이미 화재가 발생하였을 가능성이 크다고 볼 수 있다.

Isolated Digit and Command Recognition in Car Environment (자동차 환경에서의 단독 숫자음 및 명령어 인식)

  • This paper proposes an observation probability smoothing technique for the robustness of a discrete hidden Markov(DHMM) model based speech recognizer. Also, an appropriate noise robust processing in car environment is suggested from experimental results. The noisy speech is often mislabeled during the vector quantization process. To reduce the effects of such mislabelings, the proposed technique increases the observation probability of similar codewords. For the noise robust processing in car environment, the liftering on the distance measure of feature vectors, the high pass filtering, and the spectral subtraction methods are examined. Recognition experiments on the 14-isolated words consists of the Korean digits and command words were performed. The database was recorded in a stopping car and a running car environments. The recognition rates of the baseline recognizer were 97.4% in a stopping situation and 59.1% in a running situation. Using the proposed observation probability smoothing technique, the liftering, the high pass filtering, and the spectral subtraction the recognition rates were enhanced to 98.3% in a stopping situation and to 88.6% in a running situation.

  • This paper investigates the accuracy of the vehicle pre-braking speed estimated based upon measured skidding distance. Driver ordinarily takes sudden braking when urgent situation is developed in the front or when the driver is involved in an unexpected situation, and the driver may be inflicted upon an accident depending on the required stopping distance. Among factors influencing the stopping distance of vehicle such as recognition response time of driver, performance of vehicle's braking device, and state of road surface etc, pre-braking speed is seemingly the most important influencing factor. Currently, in the investigating section of traffic accidents, the state of overspeed is determined by the pre-skidding speed calculated based on the length of skid mark. In order to identify the accurate cause of the accident, it is strongly recommended that estimation of pre-braking speed should be estimated taking into account speed reduction during transient time. In this study, we propose a method for estimating more accurate exact speed information of vehicle at the time of traffic accident. The outcomes from this study potentially help better understanding of the characteristics of vehicle for traffic safety in the future.

A Study on the Recognition of Numerals for AGV Navigation Control (AGV 주행제어를 위한 숫자인식에 관한 연구)

  • This study is a research on character recognition based on image processing, using only color tape to mark guidelines instead of magnetic tape or electric wire used by existing AGV. AGV must follow given courses, and stop recognizing signs such as marks and numbers that indicate destinations. In this study. marks to stop AGV employed blue characters of the same font and size as those of number plates. Yellow driving lines and blue numeric characters were marked in corridors. AGV ran ing the characteristics of colors and detecting lines, and temporarily stopped recognizing numbers of 100% through DP pattern matching. This study presented the image processing technique and the result of operating AGV.

  • 전기자동차에 적용되는 배터리 전압은 배터리의 용량, 크기, 중량 및 가격 등과 같은 사항에 의해 제한을 가진다. 따라서 전기자동차 구동을 위해 전류 제어를 수행할 경우 배터리 전압 제한에 따라 제어기의 포화가 발생할 수 있고, 이는 와인드업 현상을 야기한다. 와인드업 현상은 울렁거림 현상, 큰 오버슈트 및 느린 정착 시간과 같은 과도상태 응답 특성을 저하시키고 심각할 경우 시스템의 불안정을 초래한다. 자동차의 특성상 가 감속 및 정지, 출발과 같이 급변하는 기준 명령의 변화가 빈번하기 때문에 승차감 및 안정성에 있어 과도상태의 응답 특성이 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전기자동차용 유도전동기를 위한 반포화 적분-비례 제어기를 제안하고, 실험을 통해 제어 성능의 우수함을 보인다.

  • I am designing a research paper with the aim of studying hybrid vehicles. Hybrid vehicles, as the next-generation automobiles, feature a combination of internal combustion engines and battery engines, resulting in a revolutionary reduction in fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions compared to conventional vehicles. The electric motor in hybrid cars derives power from a high-voltage battery installed within the vehicle, which is recharged during vehicle motion. In contrast to traditional cars, which often experience energy losses due to idling caused by traffic congestion, hybrid systems optimize efficiency by skillfully managing the interplay between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor. This approach effectively addresses the inherent drawbacks of gasoline or diesel engines.Hybrid cars offer an array of benefits, including improved fuel efficiency, environmental friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and reduced noise emission. Consequently, they are progressively becoming a favored alternative among a growing number of individuals. This research endeavor has the potential to contribute towards curbing environmental pollution and dedicating efforts to future automotive research.

  • 최근 사물인터넷(IoT)의 기반이 되는 아두이노 기술을 접목하여 다양한 스위치와 센서로 입력 값을 받아들여 LED, 모터와 같은 외부출력장치를 제어함으로써 상호 작용을 만들어 낼 수 있는 시스템개발이 유행이다. 본 논문에서는 아두이노를 이용하고 여러 가지 센서들을 활용하여 RC카 제작 및 거리제어 센서를 통한 DC모터 정지와 RFID를 통하여 LCD광고를 할 수 있는 자동차 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발한 시스템은 모터제어를 통하여 RC카의 전진과, 후진, 좌, 우 등 서브모터와, DC모터를 제어 하게 하였으며, 모터제어를 한 RC카에 블루투스 모듈을 장착하여 블루투스를 통하여 스마트폰으로 조종이 가능하도록 하였다. 안드로이드 어플을 사용하는 과정 중에 멈춤 오류로 인하여 S값을 한번만주는 형식의 안드로이드 어플을 이클립스로 제작하여 수정하였으며 전방에 거리감지센서를 장착하여 자동차의 20~150cm앞에 물체가 있을시 모터를 정지하게 하여 속도를 제어 하도록 하였다. 또한 RFID리더기를 사용하여 태그키가 RFID리더기에 태그 될시 LCD화면에 광고를 노출할 수 있게 하였다.

  • Vehicle engineering analysis in the event of an accident caused by a car built on mechanical design has not been investigated in-depth but relies on the subjective experience knowledge of the investigator. This study analyzed the correlation between the speed, progress, steering, and braking before impact, which is consistent with the final stop position, by drawing a site situation chart using the CAD (CAD) program and repeating 250 crashes using the PC-Crash program. The following situations were investigated: lower impact velocity; greater impact speed of the vehicle, which is not affected significantly by the departure angle; higher vehicle speed, such as the effective impact velocity, after the impact; higher vehicle speed; and lower vehicle speed.
