Efficient Crossroad Wireless LAN Vehicular Communication Network for Remote Driving and Monitoring Autonomous Vehicle (무인자동차 원격운행 및 모니터링을 위한 효율적인 사거리 교차로 무선랜 자동차통신망)

  • Now a days, there are various application functions to transmit from vehicles to the Internet and vice versa. And the communication can be operated through a roadside infrastructure including with possible use of routing protocols. Specifically, autonomous vehicles for remote driving and monitoring requires transmitting of high depth of multimedia such as video. Especially in a populated urban area, an efficient network is vital because of handling a great amount of the data. Therefore, in this paper, efficient network topology for a crossroad in urban area is suggested by performance evaluation of vehicular networks using a wireless LAN and a routing protocol. For the performance evaluation, various vehicular network topologies are designed and simulated in OPNet simulator.

  • V2X(Vehicle to Everything)는 차량 간 통신(Vehicle-to-Vehicle), 차량과 인프라 간 통신(Vehicle-to-Infrastructure), 차량과 보행자 간의 통신(Vehicle-to-Pedestrians) 등 운전 중 도로 인프라 및 다른 차량과 통신하면서 교통상황 등의 정보를 교환하거나 공유하는 기술을 말한다. V2X는 IT 기술의 발달과 여러 연구기관들의 연구개발 강화로 인해 'Connected/Smart car' 나아가 완전한 자율주행차를 구현하기 위해 빠르게 진화하고 있다. 이러한 V2X 시장이 향후 10년 간 급속한 확대가 전망되면서, 국내외 통신업체와 제조업 및 산학연은 자동차와 정보통신, 에너지, 서비스 산업을 융합한 스마트자동차 산업을 신성장 동력으로 하여 기술개발에 노력을 가속화하고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 V2X 차량 통신 기술의 주요선진국 기술개발 동향과 현 수준을 알아본다.

  • All of the government, private enterprises, and local governments are promoting the spread of electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions depending on the green growth policy of the government that began in 2009. Due to this background, the prevalence of electric cars is being spread. However, the efficient management and operation through the exchanging information between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as the development of electric vehicles are essential to disseminate them. In this paper, we present a service framework for exchange of information between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, and propose a communication method to meet it. To do this, we propose the most appropriate communication method through the performance evaluation by identifying and comparing the existing wireless communication methods can be applied to exchange information between electronic vehicles and EV charging infrastructure.

  • 최근 스마트폰, 블랙박스, EDR등에서 자동차 네트워크인 OBD-II를 이용하여 자동차 실시간 제어데이터를 알 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 각각의 장치(스마트폰, 블랙박스, EDR등)에서는 OBD-II에서 자동차 데이터를 수신 받을 때 사용되는 통신 네트워크가 다르다. 본 논문은 이러한 단점을 보완 하고자 각 장치에서 대부분 사용되어 지는 Bluetooth와 Wifi, WCDMA 모듈을 통합하여 사용자가 1개의 리더기 만으로도 어느 장치에서든지 OBD-II네트워크에서 자동차 실시간 제어 데이터를 알 수 있는 OBD-II 네트워크의 리더를 위한 통합 하드웨어를 구현 하였다.

  • Recently, Hybrid Electric Vehicle(: HEV) is in the spotlight to global warming caused by carbon dioxide and emission reduction. HEV consists of a combination of mechanical engine and electric motor system. The flow of energy required to drive a HEV depends on the driving conditions of the vehicle. In this paper, we study the contents of HEV education using real-time monitoring system. A real-time monitoring system consisting of hardware and virtual programs is used to simulate the overall operation of a HEV through simulations according to driving conditions and to explain how to learn through hardware.

  • The auto industry has significantly evolved to the extent that much attention is paid to M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication. In M2M communication which was first used in meteorology, environment, logistics, national defense, agriculture and stockbreeding, devices automatically communicate and operate in accordance with varying situations. M2M system is applied to vehicles, specifically to device-to-device communication inside cars, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, communication between vehicles and traffic facilities and that between vehicles and surroundings. However, communication systems are characterized by potential intruders' attacks in transmission sections, which may cause serious safety problems if vehicles' operating system, control system and engine control parts are attacked. Thus, device-to-device secure communication has been actively researched. With a view to secure communication between vehicular devices, the present study drew on hash functions and complex mathematical formulae to design a protocol, which was then tested with Casper/FDR, a tool for formal verification of protocols. In brief, the proposed protocol proved to operate safely against a range of attacks and be effective in practical application.

A Study on V2V Communication Environment in K-city (자율주행 실험도시(K-city) 내 V2V 통신 환경에 관한 연구)

  • K-city is an experimental area for developing self-driving cars. V2X communications such as WAVE, C-V2X and 5G are an essential technology for autonomous driving above level 4. In this paper, the research on the V2V communication environment was carried out through BSM receiving level analysis on the driving route in K-city. A stationary vehicle communicated with a test vehicle moving along urban area and suburban road in two different scenarios. The communication range and receiving levels obtained from this study will be used to develop and verify various safety scenarios using V2V communication within K-city in the future.

  • Recently, various electronic functions are developed for car drivers as the advent of electrical automobile. Especially, there are functions to examine for preventing drowsy or healthcare through monitoring brainwave(EEG) of drivers in real time. This function can be provided by transmitting driver's EEG, and the network function for transmission among cars or between car and road side infrastructure is a vital issue. Therefore, in this paper, to provide efficient routing protocol for transmitting EEG data at a cross road in an urban area, 5 different wireless communication network applied each routing protocol such as AODV, DSR, GRP, OLSR, and TORA is designed and simulated in the OPNet network simulator, then it is evaluated for the result.

  • 과거 단순한 이동 수단이 목적이었던 자동차는 더욱 안전하고 편리한 자동차, 서비스 지향 자동차로 거듭나고 있다. 점차 편리와 안전 서비스를 제공하기 위한 전자제어 장치의 장착이 확대되고 전자제어 장치간의 연동을 통한 서비스 개발이 늘고 있으며, 이로 인해 신뢰성 빛 안전성 이슈가 최근에 많이 대두되고 있다. 본 고에서는 자동차 응용 서비스의 개발에서 IT 기술들의 집합체라고 할 수 있는 전자장치용 소프트웨어의 표준 플랫폼인 AUTOSAR의 동향과 차량 전자제어 장치의 안전성 보장을 위한 ISO 26262 표준 동향 및 이슈를 살펴본다.
